We unexpectedly tried this place because a place nearby we wanted to try was closed. This place was cozy with limited seating inside and some seating outside. We ordered the ham and cheese empanadas, the Patagonia empanadas, tuna wrap and honey mustard salad. The salad and wrap came with big portions. The skin of the wrap was not bad but the stuffing was a bit lack of flavour. On the contrary, the stuffing of both empanadas were amazing but the skin was too soggy. Oh yum! Recommended to us by an Argentinian, this bakery / deli, exceeded all expectation. It really is more of a supermarket style deli rather than a sit down place. Although I did see some tables outside. We ordered a variety of empanadas to go and all proved to be excellent. Freshly made, not too doughy and plenty of filling inside. We also ordered the sandwiches, that look very plain at first glance. They are however delicious and a perfect picnic food. They had variety of desserts, cookies and other baked good. For the empanadas, I highly recommend the 3 cheese empanada, the ham and cheese empanada, and you have to try the Patagonia empanada!!! They also have crustless sandwiches which is a childhood favorite - basic but delicious! I can't forget to mention their freshly squeezed orange juice! There is seating inside and outside. It's usually always full but we always tend to find a table when we are done ordering. The service itself has its days - we are greeted with welcoming faces most times and other times just okay service. Lastly, price wise, the restaurant is a little overpriced for the portions they serve (the price and service is why it's rated 3/5 stars). You could easily spend a lifetime trying to decide which pastry to choose since they have a wide variety and they all are so tantalizing! Here in Key Biscayne for work and stumbled upon this place. Hidden in the south end corner of the grey and white plaza, this place is a mini grocery store/ wine store and cafe in one. Food is reasonably priced. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant breakfast that came with eggs, bacon and a baguette all for $6. For this area, that is pretty good. The coffee is lavazza brand and they only have almond milk as creamer which was fine with me. There's an assortment of pastry items, cakes and also packaged items of snacks in the grocery area. This bakery-deli is the Argentenian standard. My Husband's Grandfather and Grandmother are Argentinean and they always make sure they bring us here every single time we are visiting from Las Vegas. In the last 2 years that we have visited, this place has grown a lot from a small deli into a bustling modern bakery and market. I love ordering a nice warm cappuccino and some toasty empanadas with self serve chimichurri. I am absolutely in love with the spinach empanadas. Actually, the vote is in, my entire family loves the spinach one the most as well! The spinach filling is smooth and packed with unbelievable flavor that is seasoned just right. The flaky crust is crafted with expertise, it is hard to find one like it. Abuelo Hugo always orders his favorite Torta Pascualin: a savory spinach ricotta tart in a flaky crust. Meat-wise, my guests also enjoys the beef, chicken and pretty much the majority of the empanada selection. You can enjoy a nice ocean breeze sitting out on their large outdoor patio, just a couple minutes away from the beach. Once you explore the shop, you will uncover the many unique offerings provided here; you will also find that they also have a carniceria (mini butcher shop) hidden in the back with great cured meats, including prosciutto (my crack.) And because the audience doesn't know what the real stuff is supposed to taste like - some restaurants save money by serving third rate merchandise. In Miami - the owner doesn't get the excuse of "sorry, I can't get the real ingredients". In Miami you can get anything. And Nahuen's is under additional performance pressure. Nahuen outlets are often located right next to great big condominium buildings that are filled with intelligent wealthy Argentines. These people know what the good things are in life, They know what Argentine food is supposed to taste like and They absolutely demand the very best Nahuen serves the goods to this demanding clientele - and the result is very fine indeed. Users note if you are not Argentine: The menu contains only a small percentage of the wonderful food that the store can provide. Look at the menu, but then look at everything you see in every glass case before you make your decision. There are gastronomic treats everywhere - and you can't go wrong. Argentines do some of the greatest sandwiches in the world. Their Milanesa (soppresatta, cheese and pickled red peppers) is for the gods. (all three fillings plus the bread are fantastic.) Russian salad (potato salad with as many peas and carrots as there are potatoes) - elsewhere a lame filler - absolutely sings here - with the peas and carrots full of flavor while the potato salad components makes the food comforting and satisfying. Patagonia in my opinion has the best empanadas. I was waiting to try the steak sandwich before reviewing and since Sunday I tried it here I go! First the empanadas are out of this world. My favorites are the meat, chicken souffle, four cheese, and chorizo. The sandwich de miga ham and cheese is so refreshing, perfect to eat on the beach. The steak sandwich came on baguette with French fries. I ordered the skirt steak medium and guess what? It came medium! For dessert I like the alfajores. The service is fast and they are very good at going through any questions you have on their products. We sat outside and unfortunately the tables were a total mess. We went on Monday evening because we were really craving some Argentine food. Maybe around 7ish. The food was really good (as always) but what does it for us was the customer service. We've been to the location in Hollywood but wanted to switch it up a bit so we decided to come to this one. Once we entered the lady who "served" us was Claudia and she was quite rude, we purchased 4 plates and she didn't notify us that the tip was automatically added onto the bill. The issue isn't the tip it's the lack of informing us, we personally prefer leaving a cash tip but that's not the point. Towards the end of us finishing our meal half of the lights in the store were turned off and the front door was locked (8ish). I understand that they close at 9 but it felt like they were quite literally kicking us out. Before leaving (8:15ish) we bought facturas and Claudia was still being rude. I understand that it was close to closing and towards the end of the night one is pretty tired but you still should be respectful and nice to the customers. From personal experience I know working in food is hard but I never let the customer feel like they aren't welcomed in the store and that they should be forced to pay a tip/unaware that the tip is included on the bill. I know for a fact that I won't be returning to this location because the customer service horrible. Also, when we walked in no one and I mean no one greeted us, like come on how hard is it to say hello or something. However, the espressos our group received today were sadly, in a word, tasting like weak brown water with no flavor. In hindsight I should have sent them back and asked for a refund. Empanadas were excellent as always so my 3 star rating is an average of 1 star for the coffee and 5 stars for the empanadas. Poor customer service. We would regularly buy our steaks and other things from them. We had asked for the butcher to slice some ribeye "carpaccio" style for a recipe. The first time we asked them it wasn't an issue. The second time it wasn't an issue either. The third time they tried to charge an additional $6.00 per pound. When we asked why the response was, we used to not to charge you but not anymore. Mind you, Rib-eye goes for about $13/lb. But to pay almost 50% more for something that both whole foods and winn dixie do for free???? Ridiculous. Not shopping here anymore. read more

She had been here before and suggested we get some empanadas and wine. I couldn't have decided better myself! A great place to get a variety of South American goods, this was a one-stop chop, including a carniceria in the back. We sat outside with our wine and empanadas. I had a meat one, and a four cheese, both of which were absolutely delicious. I also brought a couple home to the boy, who thoroughly enjoyed them as well. OMG, I can eat a whole box of empanadas and no one will stop me! When I'm in town, I cruise down with the golf cart and buy a box for the house. I end up eating most of it because they are that good. I recommend the Caprese, Four Cheeses, Chicken, Meat, and Ham & Cheese. They also sell great sandwiches and desserts!
