OC Adventure Golf - Score card - Mini Golf Near Me - Ocean City, New Jersey

Over the years we've played every mini golf course in OC that currently exists plus others that have closed or have completely changed their theme and some of those courses (Tee-Time) have been played to the point that we should probably have fractional ownership. With that said, we had never played OC Adventure Golf prior to last week. Why play this course now? Well, simply because it was the only course on the boardwalk that was open on a Wednesday night after Labor Day. I will mention as a sidebar that we had tried to play here either once or twice in the past and each time their CC terminal was down/broken so that put the kibosh on that. The layout of the course is bizarre. It is essentially laid out in two parts. The first few holes and the last few holes are close to the boardwalk but the middle nine are pushed back by themselves going in/out of a series of quasi-caves via a long walkway which you need to take to reach them. Adding to the interesting layout is that you are next door to the OC Waterpark and several of the their slides/lazy river are all around you while you play the middle nine. Plus just for some added fun the holes are also spread out over two levels. In terms of difficulty this one is in the middle. None of this is cupcake easy like at Tee-Time where multiple holes in one are guaranteed but it's not break your stones hard either. Call it at best "mildly challenging". For true putt-putt street cred there is a free game hole at the end but it's a real SOB as you need to hit up an incline and across a small narrow strip of carpet that tilts ever so slightly right and into a small hole. In other words, good F-ing luck. For $6 per person it was a decent value and an overall fun course that I'm pretty sure we'll play again. (If you're looking for more info about the course, good luck. We were greeted with a smile and sent on our way. It wasn't very busy, which was a plus. Most advertisements we've seen for it say "kid friendly" or something to that effect. But the course was actually more complicated than we expected. Still fun, nonetheless, and for a good price after 6. It was located close to where we entered the boardwalk for the night which was why we chose it. If you're an avid mini golfer, I'd suggest this course for you. We were a little thrown off by their advertisements but we still enjoyed it. read more

As an adult, if I'm going to go mini golfing I like a challenge! I thought this one was definitely a challenge. There was nothing over the top about it, but you definitely had to think about how you were going to putt the ball. I think I scored 9-10 over par (I threw away my card). This is a fairly small golf place. There are so many to go to on the boardwalk. I was always used to going to mini golf places in town and not on the boardwalk, until I came to OC, and that seems to be all that they have. This one was right next to the food court. We went mid- September so all of their water effects were shut off which was kind of lame since there really was not much else to the mini golf. Pretty fun of the mill 'course'. The girl working at the stand was really nice. I believe a game was $7 or $8, not bad pricing. I just wish there was a little more interest to the game. The course can kind of be hard to follow. We definitely ended up behind a family who we are 90% sure skipped half the course. A lot of it overlaps and a later hole will be right next to an early hole and the only way to know is by reading the not very adequately placed signs. Maybe fix this problem? It ended up slowing us down because we were not behind and had no sight of them until hole 15 and we think it was just an error on their part as they navigated the course. Every year we try play every course (except Goofy Golf) along the boardwalk. It's been a while for this one and what a disappointment. $21 for 3, which is normal, but none of the water features were turned on and there was trash on the course. We played the first couple holes figuring they'd turn on the waterfalls and such but they didn't. When we went back to ask the girl working seemed like she couldn't be bothered. Barely looked up from her phone and just said she was the only one there, and that the water isn't needed. No, it's not needed but if you're charging full price we should get the full experience. On one whole we found a metal cutoff wheel in the middle of the course with all sorts of debris around. Another hold had trash in the cup. Sounds like "Miss Can't Be Botherered" showed up late, didn't get a chance to properly open the course and just went with it. Well, there are plenty of other courses around which we'll be playing over the next years - this won't be one of them. read more

Great place to putt. The holes go down and around the Waterpark. Nice waterfalls and overall feel. Went twice.

We bought water park tickets to play mini golf after a fun day at the water park only to be told that the golf expired at 5pm. Older gentleman with glasses in the hut was nasty to our children. With all the mini golf on the boardwalk, good customer service goes a long way. Castaway Cove has our mini golf business from now on. read more

Fun layout that takes you all around and behind the watersides. Holes are easier, but still challenging for kids. Great views, in and out of waterfalls and caves. Lots of height changes (up and down stairs). Slightly confusing layout - don't hit your ball off the hole you're on... You'll be retracing your steps to go get it. Outdated mini golf courses. Grounds are soaked from the water park. No real obstacles to hit through, it's just patches of green. Overpriced for something that isn't really fun. read more
