Welcome to mini-golf course #7. Congo Falls offers three courses: Congo Queen, Solomon's Mine, and The Lost City. We tried The Lost City today, and it's definitely my favorite course we played this summer. After the first hole, you'll descend into a ... well, you know. The Lost City should be fun for kids and grandparents. There are some steps, but they're not too challenging, and it was much cooler. There's a lot to see, and you can also find some nice spots to sit down. Welcome to mini-golf course #8 We decided to try The Congo Queen this time. Word on the street is it can be a bit scary for younger kids, and with so many steps, it might not be ideal for anyone with knee or back problems. Grandparents with little ones might enjoy the Lost City, which has fewer steps. The holes are quite tricky; we only managed to get one in one on hole #9, and that was pure chance! The course is quite tall, so it can get warm up there, but they've got plenty of spots to sit. There's so much to see, but my favorite was the Monkey DJ. My wife thought the music was too loud; I couldn't tell by the way she was beating me. I thought the music was fine. Please don't tell her I said that! read more

Just paid $11.95 for my son and his family to play this mini golf. Last time for that!! One of the most expensive mini golf's on the boardwalk! I was going to walk with them to keep score. If I did I would have to pay $11.95 too! The young girl working who was extremely rude said it was because of insurance. Never heard of anything more outrageous. However, not sure what was worse, the policy, the price or the rude girl!! read more

Congo golf is more expensive than other mini golf courses on the boardwalk but it is unique. You are able to pick from 1 of 3 courses to complete. All people must pay to enter regardless of if they play or not. Maybe not the best policy, as there were some unruly preteens unaccompanied by a responsible adult who were using foul language, but didn't have an adult to correct them. We chose to do the tomb one where it was completely enclosed. The course itself wasn't anything to write home about , but the decorative designs were pretty cool. read more

This establishment is NOT autism-friendly. My wife and I visited with our three children, including a four-year-old nonverbal child on the spectrum. On May 16, 2025, I was exempt from paying for the four-year-old child. However, when we returned on May 17, 2025, with the same crew, we were informed that the four-year-old child, who is also on the spectrum and nonverbal, would have to pay. read more

One of the many mini golf spots along the OCNJ Boardwalk - three courses in the "Congo Falls" theme- we did LOST CITY which is the indoor course. All three courses are the same price and you pick the course after selecting your club. Lost city had a vague cavern/Aztec-like theme with some jump scares. There are some water features, but most weren't on because the humidity inside is insane and not made easier by the water features. I thought the holes themselves were very short and it kind of felt like a cop out. They have signs at the entrance like "named best mini golf in south jersey" which frankly I did not agree with. Maybe the outdoor courses would have been better but the indoor one is just so hot read more

In an oversaturated mini golf market, I would think that nearly $10 per person on a weeknight is overpriced ($39.80 for a party of four). As far as the quality of the course, we only did one course of the three available. One appears to be completely indoor and ours was partially covered. Nice Congo/safari theme and the kids (8 and 6) enjoyed themselves. Mini golfers who want to be challenged will probably find a course that suits them, but it'll cost you. read more

When planning a day trip for this summer we deiced to come to Ocean City New Jersey because we wanted to hit up the Beach, the Board Walk and play some mini golf. The Ocean City Board walk has more mini golf in a smaller area than any other place that I have been too. Congo Falls was the place I was most excited to play. At the end of the day it was the place I was most disappointed in. Congo Falls has three courses located right on the board walk, they are Congo Queen, Solomon's Mine, and the Lost City. The Lost City is indoors and they say that it might be too scary for little Kids. Of the the other two courses I would recommend the Congo Queen course, I did not play that one but it has to be better that the course we played Solomon's Mine. Solomon's Mine while not an indoor course might as well been, it like they built a mini golf course inside a parking garage, there were opening just on one side of the course, almost every hole was just a long straight shot, and there was almost no theming what so ever. The theming that was there made no sense for the name of the course. Solomon's Mine is suppose to tell of a search of an unexplored region of Africa by a group of adventurers, this is maybe hillbilly gold mining in California? The course itself is fine, nothing special, none of the holes are interesting, but it is well maintained. Even with all that I would have given it 3 stars, but what made it drop down to 2 stars was the Music that they played, it was quite possibly the worst music I have ever heard at a Mini Golf course, It was like retro 50s music that should be played at Diner going for the 50s vibe, not at an African adventure mini golf course. Overall there is plenty of Mini golf to be played on the Ocean City board walk, I would skip this place to play somewhere else. read more

I showed up at 10:50PM and asked the cashier Rachel what the latest T-time was. She said 11:00PM so I stepped a few feet away and finished my food. I walked back up at exactly 11:00PM and she said they were closed and wouldn't allow us to play. Rachel is either incompetent or trying to get off of work early. The place looks really cool from the outside, but the course itself left a lot to be desired. They have 3 courses here, one of which is totally inside. We played the Mine course and found the course to be pretty basic with little challenges to the course itself. It could have been themed so much better in my opinion. While the course was outdoors, plenty of it was under cover so you do get out from the under the sun. The course itself was in good shape. It's about $9/person to play. Not a bad place for some family fun but I guess my expectation was a little too high. read more

I suppose you could chalk up Congo Falls as yet another in a long line of mini golf places where the theming is on point and naturally so is the pricing at over eight dollars a head but the actual course itself is pretty damn boring because overall it's not very creative/way too easy. We played the Lost City course a little before ten one morning only because we attempted to go to Pirate Island but they were still closed half an hour after their listed opening time (but that's for another review) and we had already played Tee-Time the day prior which left Congo as the only other course in town open this early in the morning. Obviously at the early hour in the morning the courses were deserted (early June on a weekday) which I figured would make this a fairly quick round but instead the course wasn't fully ready to go. I forget how many holes into the round the sounds of Jimmy Buffett start to slowly get drowned out by the sounds of a Shop Vac. Maybe half way through we run into one of the employees hitting a few of the holes with a Shop Vac trying to get some of the moisture off of the carpets yet of course he wasn't exactly quick about it nor did he move out of the way until we were practically glaring at him. And this couldn't be done before paying customers started playing why? As I said earlier the course wasn't terribly creative or difficult and some of the sight gags and noises they use to make it "PG" probably work better at night because during the day it's big time hokey. Also worth noting is the free game hole at the end is not terribly difficult as two of the four people in our group made the shot which of course then led to having to see the attendant because the free game ticket dispenser wasn't working to which the kid working up front said not to worry because "it's always broken anyway" so he just gave us the tickets. Sure I guess it was nice to have played a different course in OC but truly I have no interest to go back and play the other two courses even though I know with two free games under our belts we will. Here's to hoping that the other two courses don't stink as much as the Lost City did because that experience was a real turd. read more

This is an okay mini-golf course on the OC Boardwalk. There are three courses from which to choose and somehow we always pick the one we did not want. But, it does not matter as it can be fun. While most of the holes are not very challenging, it is fun for kids. My daughter likes the huge gorilla outside with the helicopter. On this particular day, we played the indoor course. A lot of the course was wet /damp from the prior day's rain. We still managed to have a good time, but due to the lack of layout and challenge, we would probably not return to this course. read more

Went early in the morning with the family around 9am before anyone arrived. There are three routes that you can take, we took the underground mine one. It was a good time, nothing too alluring, there was nice shade. One thing I didn't notice was that instead of putting for a free game, you can drop it down in this Price is Right type game at the end, so don't overlook that cause the golf shot is pretty difficult. The family had a good time, we didn't have to deal with any other people waiting on us and strolled around leisurely even with a 20 month old. read more

A lot of falling happened at Congo Falls... myself being included, but that didn't stop my good time. Everything was going according to plan, no bogies in sigh... until i slipped on the slippery green! It was like slipping on a banana peel. The one employee Andrew immediately sensed something was wrong... he climbed up the building, ripped the gorillas out of the helicopter, and flew it into the building to get me. He made a stretcher out of golf clubs and lucky balls and dipped me into the fountain of youth. The whole time he told me to hold on to the Lucky Balls and boy, did it do wonders! Those balls saved my life. Thank you so much Andrew, if it wasn't for you I would have severe rug burn. read more

We went on the air conditioned course, and it was super lame, unexciting and not challenging. Everyone got two strokes on almost every hole. If you have kids, then go to the pirate themed course just north of here. 10x better. The worst part of this course was not that it was so lame, but that it didn't even feel air conditioned. Congo falls probably has one of the catchiest mini golf fronts on the boardwalk...I mean, who doesn't want to see two singing gorillas inside the cockpit of a helicopter? Plus, a sigh out front touts "voted best mini golf" in south jersey. By whom, I'd like to know. Fact is, yelp's 2.5 star rating is pretty spot on. The $8 price tag for after 5 hours is higher than other boardwalk golf courses, yet I'm not sure it's worth it. Sure, the course is clean and reasonably well kept, but the holes are pretty short and lack imagination. A few obsticle holes, a few minor terrain holes, but nothing super creative or interesting. All holes are jungle themed. Granted, there are three separate courses, and we have played the same one on two occasions...but I'm still not sure I'd run back to play it any time soon... Meh. Three stars. Oh, and my score on Congo Falls was 51...bring it on! read more

Of all the miniature golf courses on the Ocean City boardwalk, it's not the best, but it's not the worst. At first glance, it has a big physical appeal with the mammoth gorilla drawing customers in, along with a helicopter and waterfalls! There are 3 courses jam-packed into the small space - two outdoors and one indoors. We chose the indoor one. While the surroundings of the golf course have a fun jungle theme, the greens themselves are boring. There aren't any "contraptions" or novelties about the greens themselves, which is what I look for in mini golf. The greens are kept well, but unexciting. read more

This is our favorite mini golf on the boardwalk! It is a little bit more expensive than others around 6 to 7 dollars, but it has three different courses. One is completely indoors, one is half indoor / half outdoor, and one is in door with two outdoor holes. The holes themselves are creative and unique, some of them with water and a lot of them with hills and / or hidden pathways. Will be back to try the other 2 course read more

Three of us stopped by for some mini-golf on the Sunday of memorial day weekend. We were short on time but still able to finish one course (18 holes) in a hour. There were some people playing but you don't really feel it because of the size of this place. There are three courses you can choose from. They vary on difficulty level. I wish I could go on all the courses. The one we did was so much fun. There are many interactive elements designed into the course. Half of it is indoor which was great for a hot day like that. This is probably the biggest mini-golf venue by boardwalk. For $6, this is a great way to spend some fun time with family and friends! read more

Well I'm not professional mini-golfer but I managed to score 3 hole-in-ones at the upstairs course so Congo Falls gets 4 stars. Oh, you want to know more do you? The giant gorilla that looks like he's smoking a bong out front will surely draw you in. There are 3 courses to choose from which is nice because it didn't seem too crowded. I would recommend this course because it smells like pizza and pizza smells good. Although I did not get one, they have neon pink balls which is sweet (I was jealous of the little girl ahead of us). The course was in good shape and the price was fine. It also looked more fun than the other locations on the boardwalk. I'd go back - this time I will have a pink ball. read more

Rain, wind, sun, snow..... well, maybe not snow but Congo Falls has the right course option no matter what the weather outside is! There are 3 to choose from, an interior fully air conditioned course, an outdoor course and also one that is both inside and out. Who can not say they haven't seen this place with the big helicopter out front with the singing ape rocking out to Harry Bellafonte. Great for the whole family enjoyment except that screaming ape inside on the top level, makes me a little nuts! Great challenging courses, well maintained although a bit more expensive then some of the nearby 18 holes but I keep going back! read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! Great price with a very clean, well kept course. We did the indoor course which was very well done, excellent special effects and setup. You can easily spend over an hour in there looking at all the neat stuff. It has some pretty decent scares too, its almost like a haunted house. $6.50 a person for mini golf is a great price, i don't get the negative reviews. The owner was very nice and talked to us when we started. We'll be back to try the other courses! read more

Compared to Haunted Golf, this place is lacking. The decoration is basic and the holes are uninspired. They are all straight shots with very little obstacles or gimmicks. I would say only 1/3 of the supposedly best course, Jungle Queen, was good. read more

The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because of the wonderful decor and the great memories I had here growing up. I came here last week with my sister and our boyfriends. I haven't been in OCNJ for 5 years, so I was very excited to be back here and play the same course I used to play with my dad when I was younger. Unfortunately, it was not the same. We got there a tad late at night and asked the girl at the front if we were too late to golf and she told us we were fine (with a sassy attitude). We asked if she was sure, and she rolled her eyes and said yes, so we went ahead. Being as courteous as possible, we rushed through the course so they did not have to stay open late just for us. Once we reached the last hole, my sister did the unthinkable. She got it the ball up the narrow ramp and in the small hole to win a free game! We were all very excited as we went back to the front to put our clubs back. We asked the girl if she sees that a lot and she snarled "actually, that happens all the time"... what a buzzkill. The service was sassy and the holes were barely a challenge. I'll skip this place next time and go elsewhere. read more

As we walked from 9th street toward Congo Falls, we passed at least 3 other mini golf places with better prices. However, my son wanted to try the "gorilla" place, so I didn't balk at the 7.95/per person after 7pm. He pointed out the sign that said "voted best mini golf in South Jersey." Must be worth that extra money, I figured. Wrong! I don't mini golf often but when I do I expect some creativity on the holes. Not here. Some of the holes are a straight shot with no hazard at all. Like other reviewers said - very boring! Also, there are places where the music simply competes with each other and you can't make out either the Jimmy Buffett song or that song you always here at a wedding. As we were finishing, my son and I began to joke that this place was voted best mini golf in South Jersey after surveying 1 person - the owner! Skip this place that has the nerve to charge more than others for a sub par experience. read more

They have 3 courses, and all of them are fun (I prefer the air-conditioned one, The Lost City). The other two courses being Solomon's Mine and Congo Queen. There are beautiful decorations in the latter 2 with waterfalls and ponds being present throughout the courses. read more

Like nearby Golden Galleon, this place is frustrating - though for a totally different reason. It looks cool and interesting from the boardwalk, and the outdoor holes largely are really interesting. But many of the interior holes are just boring, and the decor for the indoor holes (aside from the Lost City course) is also just plain boring. Plus, they advertise that the Lost City course is "100% air conditioned", which is absolutely *not* true. I think there were 4-5 holes in the middle of the course that were modestly air-conditioned, and the rest were cooled with fans or not at all. read more

The owners spent all their money on the outside decorations rather than the course. The course itself is boring. And when you factor in the price of $9.00 a game it is a rip off. The only reason I am giving it two stars as opposed to one is the location. It is right in the middle of the boardwalk. read more

The guy at the front was rude and unfriendly. Started freaking out when I scribbled my name on the credit card receipt. Asked me who's card it was then told me he needed to see ID, which I gave to him. After seeing the ID he still was upset and told me that he had to be careful and couldn't lose money. Like I was going to contest a $15 credit card charge? The overreaction and accusing tone ruined the night. Should have just asked for a refund. The course was ok. The lighting in the indoor portion isn't very good, makes for some tricky shadows. Decoration was very good though. Oh and when we left the line to get in was about 25 people deep. Something tells me he would have been ok even if he lost the $15. read more

Congo falls was my favorite place to go mini golfing as a kid. It has a nice variety of courses one that is completely indoors and air conditioned. When I went it was not crowded but it can be very crowded at times and not very enjoyable. Nobody wants to stand in line for 20 minutes before each hole. Tickets were 7 dollars per player at 3pm which I found to be a bit pricey compared to other courses on the boardwalk. The course is a little outdated and could use a bit of work. I'm still a bigger fan of pirate golf. read more

Wow, the MOST boring miniature golf course I have EVER played. Barely any obstacles, nothing visually interesting. Go play Franklin Square in Philadelphia and get back to me on the disparity. Every single hole has the same handicapped rating - which is even more absurd that they have packed three different courses into one tiny location. Will try a different course the next time we are out hitting the boards. read more
