I've been using Pirate roofing for about four years. I live in California but I have two rentals out in Wylie and Plano. Every time I've used Pirate Roofing, I've been so happy with their work. I get a roof tuneup every couple of years and it's very affordable. This time we had vents and holes in the roof that had to be closed up because we had rodents getting in the house. He took care of everything, including a gap on the side of the house and an access point by the air conditioner. It was so nice not to have to call somebody else out to do the work. I heard about John from someone referred to me by someone else that I knew well enough to trust. John was GREAT. I had had a new roof put on in November BY SOMEONE ELSE which almost immediately leaked, and eventually I had a ceiling fall in. Pirate Roofing to the rescue!! John took care of all my skylights (discovered NONE of them had been sealed/reinforced although the OTHER company had charged big bucks for that). John fixed everything, not a drop of a leak since then, enabling me to get the bathroom ceiling fixed once things had dried out. Did not like the fact John used my insurance limits to build the quote for the roof replacement, rather than independently generating a quote. "Oh your insurance will cover $8,971?? That's exactly what the roof will cost!!" When the vents started grinding four months later, it was like pulling teeth to get them out to replace them. The roof replacement was good and has lasted, but didn't like the practices. read more

Our house's roof, gutters and windows were damaged by the hail storm in late March 2017. We vetted several roofing companies, and selected Pirate Roofing. We had a much better experience with Pirate than the last time our roof was replaced. We worked with Brent who delivered everything that he promised, which we appreciated. This is very important to read and understand, I have known the owner for a while, he is full of integrity and honesty, this man is Texas old school hand shake i will do what i say kind of guy period... I had 3 different roofing companies come out and tell me after inspection that my roof wasn't leaking and it's my AC inside the attic, how is this possible as I only get leaks from my roof when it rains really hard? Every single time hard rain and water coming in from ceiling.... so frustrating... So anyway I call an AC company (licensed) and they tell me the AC isn't leaking but it's not running efficiently with the ducts so I have them all replaced $2200 Pirate roofing comes out, finds a roof vent, takes it out looks inside and sees where it was leaking, repairs and fixes and guess what? We had a severe hail storm a week ago. I contacted them less than an hour after the storm to please come tarp my roof. They called a week later wanting to send out a 'sales person.' What? It took a week to contact me then you want to send out a sales person? Seriously? The lady on the phone said they have been busy. These guys are awesome. They're honest, they're on time, their crews are quick, clean, and efficient. After big storms tore up the roof, they even had a crew out here on Christmas eve, to make sure that Christmas wasn't ruined by an internal snowstorm. I had being harassed by the Storm Chasers (Contractors) in my neighborhood about my roof having hail damage. At their direction, I filed a claim and then decided to use a separate roofing company for a more objective opinion in conjunction with my Insurance Company. I chose Pirate Roofing (John)....he agreed to meet with my insurance adjuster without a contract or craziness. Very honest and professional. Another company wanted to replace the entire roof but I knew that was not the case because it was just a few shingles blown off by the wind. After discovering that it was raining both outside of my home and in my kitchen, I needed to find a roofer to come tarp my roof until my insurance could send their adjuster out to assess the damages. My first contractor refused to put a tarp up and left, leaving me in the lurch. On a glowing recommendation from a coworker, I called Pirate Roofing and explained the situation.
