We worked with Parker who came out quickly and looked at our roof after a storm, helped us understand our insurance claim process and then replaced our roof. The crew was professional and took care of our property including cleaning up the yard which was huge for our dogs and kid. We have had a long-time issue with rodents chewing at our eaves and soffit, so much so that they had been using it as a freeway in and out of our attic. We called Ben Wortham before the weekend and on Tuesday their man was here to assess and measure. First thing this morning, Wednesday, they were on the job. They recommended Hardie Board since rodents don't like it. They had it installed and painted. Finished! We had the house redone with Hardie Board 2 years ago...not certain why those guys didn't do this, but for a small price, the right folks fixed it. If you have needs, these are your guys. It is hard to find words to capture the hardship and torment caused by Wortham Brothers! WB are the ones that installed the roof on my house in austin area. Less than 6 months later, the roof started to come apart. On june18, I talked to Annette at the main office to schedule people to arrive on june21. I waited all day on June21 and NO-ONE showed up. Not even one call or text to tell customer no one will show up. They just let customers waste their time waiting for scheduled appointment! As matter of fact, I had to call the following week to reach out as no one at Wortham brothers called. I was given a series of excuses by Annette blaming the production manager for ignoring her request. Then I spoke to her supervisor Violeta that yet contradicted Annette's words and stated she is just a office supervisor with no control over fields. The blame was cast on anyone else except themselves! Furthermore, Violeta stated that it is normal for roofers to not show up at scheduled appointment if they are over worked. And then Violeta proceeded to tell me to complain to my builder and don't bother her or Wortham Brothers anymore. The fields people did come and did some work but would not share any proof of pictures that they corrected the mistakes. The field blamed the office and said the pictures will be given to office but of course office already told me to get lost. This is the Wortham brothers experience! I have attached many pictures from the independent roof inspectors to show the viewers of the absolutely poor and careless workmanship of Wortham Brothers and hopefully you can make an informed decision. Note how the inspection flagged possibly DEFECTIVE shingles were used for the new roof! My family & I moved from So Cal & bought an 8-yrs old home in Fairview in Summer/22, which, on the surface, looked great, but was extremely poorly maintained, requiring an almost endless little repairs/corrections. My home builder used this company for the roof. We had issues from before the home was even finished with having severe leaks in the roof that luckily were caught due to heavy rain and repaired before we closed. 2 years after the closing on the home we finally got more rain after a long term drought. The roof began to leak again- this time around the fireplace. Further investigation showed that there was no flashing present around large amounts of the exterior of the chimney where only shingles were present at the roof/chimney joint. After an inspection we also found that the shingles were overall placed in a lazy and improper manner. Stay far away from this company! read more

Called them back a week later they said they would look into it and I would hear back from someone. 10 days later and still haven't heard back. After the hailstorm in April we were left with lots of damage. Luckily no interior water damage, but we needed a roof, gutters, screens, and siding. We have a good sized house, 2800 sqft, and they got the roof done in 2 days! It looks great, we chose Peppermill Gray for the color and love it. My wife and I recently had to replace the roof in our home and this is why we chose Wortham Bros, Inc. Wortham Bros, Inc IS A MEMBER OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS: 1. GOOD CONTRACTORS LIST. If you are not familiar with this organization, take the time to research it. It does not cost the homeowner ANYTHING, and it is an insurance policy that if there is a dispute between you and the contractor, they will get in the middle and attempt to resolve any issues. We were able to see their reviews! 2. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and we were able to see their reviews! Our main contact was Curt Johnson and on our first meeting, we quickly established a report and trust. That trust was tested when our insurance company was not ready to pay for two cooper dormers that we had on our roof. Curt was able to interact with our insurance adjustor and eventually the insurance company amended the claim to include two new custom built copper dormers. The overall replacement cost of the roof was over $48,000.00. The crew was professional and everything was completed per the claim. Curt was also involved with the mortgage company so that they understood the amendments to the claim and expedite the release of the funds. I can not give Curt enough praise for his perseverance in dealing with the insurance company and mortgage company and looking after our best interest. Don't have any experience with this company per se but just have to comment on their radio commercials which are absolutely horrendous to have to listen to. Every day at work--dozens of times a day--we all cringe every time their commercials plays cuz the guy singing the tune sounds like he's constipated and pushing real hard to get the load out. Wortham bros installed the roof on my Brohn home. From original build, I have had leak after leak with no permanent resolution ever provided. From a procedural perspective, I submit tickets through Brohn, Wortham Bros reps come out and walk the roof, and some time later they either come back out for a repair or try to explain why the issue is not covered. Well, knowing that malfeasance was afoot, I had the home inspected prior to the one year builder warranty expiring. Property Doctors conducted that inspection and they were great - in the report they cited multiple issues with the roof so I provided the report to Brohn and out came WB. Some hammering and stapling later and they depart. Well, fast forward a year and new leaks have developed except now I am having to hassle with the "out of warranty" pitch-and-putt from both WB and the builder. I provide evidence and seek third party opinions from other local professionals to corroborate my claims and again they are made to come out and do some more stapling and hammering as it will. Finally we arrive at this month, 2020, and new leak. Only this time I have had solar installed on the roof so obviously the solar install botched the roof and there is no conversation to be had about this. Another local roofer comes out and finds corroded decking staples as the root issue behind this most recent leak. Basically, in summary, these guys did a poor job to put it nicely, have zero accountability, and try to slide out of any repair necessary. Would never consider doing business with them again. read more

If we could put zero stars we would. Do NOT use this company. They are dishonest. They are overpriced. They will cheat on work, materials and labor. If you have a problem with their job they will refuse to fix it OR they will CHARGE you to fix it! What a ripoff this company is. We paid them $17,000+ to replace the roof on a 2,000 s.f. home. That's ridiculous. Then, instead of doing the flashing properly, they turned it up instead of under just b/c it was easier. So we had the flashing covering our siding. it looked awful, then he decided to "fix" it and put long boards over that flashing..... might have been okay, but he used PARTICLE BOARD! Of course this broke down and rotted within a few years and now it looks horrid and is nothing but nesting material for the roof rats. THESE GUYS are roof rats! Dishonest, liars and cheaters, not to mention greedy. They were disagreeable and arrogant and quite unpleasant to work with. Do not recommend them to anyone, EVER. read more

I first contacted this company in mid-April. We finally signed a contract on May 2nd. After several months of texting and emailing, they finally started the job in mid-August, which did NOT include my hole-riddled patio cover!. They did the roof only, as well as filled in the front open area over the porch. That covering has a huge lump in it and they STILL have not fixed it. I added some under boards to my back patio cover, which they told me they would start the work on that Tuesday. I had a fit with home depot because I purchased the heavy boards (7/30/16) only to be told they weren't in stock when the contractor went to pick them up! So they were delivered that same day (Saturday prior to start date) from another store. I got the boards waterproofed like I was told, only for them to sit, in the rain, for several weeks, getting dirty, even with a tarp I put on them. They finally came on a Saturday, at zero dark thirty to do the patio. As of today, mid-October, the old patio roofing materials still sit in my backyard, I still don't have new gutters or gutter guards, the patio cover underneath looks like crap (like they walked on it) AND the front porch roof hasn't been re-done. I understand we had a lot of hail this past spring, but to sign a contract and five months later the job still is not done??? I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Their advertising is false (they are always there, yadda yadda). Stay away from this company. They are incompetent and always tell me they are "trying to find somebody" to do a job. read more
