As a beginner, the staff member's didn't hold back and explained it to me very thoroughly; he also recommended a variety of beginner fish that I could look at. Amazing service and Mason (I believe that's his name) was super welcoming and friendly! Attentive but not overbearing and checked in regularly while we were browsing to make sure we were comfortable and had any questions he could help with. Also did a water test for us and gave us some tips and beginner advice since we hadn't had a tank for a couple years and were starting over. He also has an amazing selection and variety of all kinds of fish, plants, decorations. Shop is clean and well organized! You get what you pay for and the quality of fresh water and salt water plant life/actual fish are excellent. My experience with this location started in 2020. I think this store is decent for what it is now, but it was once a truly remarkable store with the previous owner. Before it was filled with large planted tanks, huge varieties of fish, the person working there could pull fish out with his hands, like the fish trusted him. My questions were answered by what truly felt like another fish tankin' hobbiest. As saddened as I am to walk away from this location as a customer, my last couple of experiences were nothing to brag about. In fact, its the reason I'm taking the time to write a review. I feel like with the new(-er,-ish) ownership the special touch this place once had has vanished. The tanks are bare, but the fish are nice, when they're available. No one ever seems genuinely happy to help. Employees trash talk the available options. My last experience here - As I was browsing, I heard an employee telling another how he had talked a kid out of buying a whole beta fish setup because "he wouldnt know what to do" instead of taking some time to educate the little dude about it. From what I could put together, you stomped out what truly could've flowered into a beautiful hobby for a young man. As much as I use to love this place, there is better around the area now. Nerite snails are way better then mystery snails - listen to the people who work the floor, theyre the ones with actual customer feedback - employees should educate and sell product, not turn people away. read more

I have to recommend this business. I went around looking at a lot of tropical fish stores in the area. Most of them have very rude and nasty owners. Not Pisces. Josh is great. He has lots of knowledge and has a lot of patience. Not only can he handle my 2 kids when we're in the store, he takes the time to answer all of my questions. And there's a lot of them. His fish are in great condition. All the tanks are well kept and clean. He has lots of corals and anemones and live rock. Great place. Please stop by and give Josh a try. You won't be disappointed. And all the people slamming Morgan, the "girl" that works there, she s just as amazing. She has lots of patience's. My daughter loves her. I loved this fish store! Everything about it was "personal". It's not a huge place, but had just what I was looking for...harlequins,neons and anubias. All the tanks were healthy and clean and the prices were perfect. I wouldn't expect to find exotic here...unless you are looking for coral...then you'll be set...what a collection! I have been going to this store since 2018. The owner Josh has always been hospitable and actually helped me with saving my fish by buying his freshwater. He has always been helpful and prices very reasonable. However his new hire was not as welcoming. On three different occasions as I have made my twice weekly trip for freshwater, each time I was curtly dismissed even though other customers gave permission for me to be helped. Yesterday I was told there was no freshwater so for the third time I was not accommodated and each time Josh was not available. I have now found another aquarium store owner who welcomed my business today with even cheaper freshwater. I still say Josh the owner is cool and if you have any concerns for your fish please see him. It's unfortunate that the hire was not accommodating to me and I will always appreciate this guy's help. read more

Even though she was alone and there were a lot of people in the shop, Morgan was insanely helpful and helped us get setup for our first fish, a nice blue and red betta named Pascal! She helped us get a suitable tank, plants, food, snails, and quick start. She even helped us by reaching out afterwards to see if everything was working okay, where she helped us over the phone to setup the whole tank. This isn't the worst place. I bought a tank around October 2021 and it was doing great until about two weeks ago when it randomly cracked and exploded all over my carpet. It was an awful experience. I'm sure it was just a random issue but it was enough to make me never want to go back or have anything to do with fish. read more

Update 2/15/2020 i went in to give them another try as they are under new management. Omg i totally recommend them!! The new owner is just amazing!! He's so knowledgeable and super friendly. One of my new go-to aquatic spots. I got a freshwater cray from Petco that died after three days. I called Pisces after that ordeal and they had electric blue crays in stock, so I went down to the shop and got one for cheaper than they sold at Petco. Also! The guys were super helpful and they even joked around with my kids who were enjoying looking at all of the different fish. Came in today to replenish my tank after a Dalmatian molly I purchased from Petco (along with 2 female guppies) became aggressive and killed the other fish in the tank. Charles was so helpful and calm with us. He helped us pick out some shrimp and a handful of guppies to put in our nano tank. The selection is incredible and the fish are very healthy. Amazing experience! I came in a few days ago hoping to get some easy to take care of live plants for my 5gal tank. I'm super new to this and wasn't sure what to expect, but Josh was super helpful and patient. I paced around the store like a little kid asking about coral, fish, plants, substrates, etc. and he answered everything knowledgeably! My husband and I went in yesterday because we wanted to add a fish to our collection of pets. We were looking at a betta but really went in blind and were hoping to get information. Morgan went above and way beyond our expectations. From the beginning she was answering all of our questions and didn't make us feel dumb for what we were asking. She was very busy because it was just her but she kept a great attitude the whole time and was super attentive to all the customers. We ended up leaving with our fish, aquarium, plants, and snails. She even checked on us afterwards and helped us set up the aquarium. She's honestly a lifesaver and because of her we will continue going here for all the needs of our new fishy!
