I just called today to inquire about a cake for July. I didn't get far with the conversation when the guy on the phone was rude. My parents have raved about this local bakery for years, and after stopping in today, I now fully understand why. I purchased a half dozen donuts for my Dad's Birthday, and couldn't resist last minute adding in two small cakes dipped in chocolate. They were fully stocked with cakes, pies, and lots of other wonderfully priced desserts that all looked amazing. The employee working was very friendly and engaged in conversation with me (both wearing masks). She told me everything is made in-house that morning, which really impressed me and judging by the delicious smell when I walked in, I absolutely believe her! The donuts were HEAVENLY. I am still dreaming about them, hours later and am tempted to go back in for more. Highly recommend the chocolate topped custard cream-filled donut. First off- CASH ONLY. Don't make the same mistake I did :) I thankfully had 20 bucks on me, when I rarely ever have any cash on hand. Easy location to find and lots of street parking around. I was looking to pick up a treat for a bbq I was heading to and thought this place might have what I was looking for. I went late on Sunday and was happy to know they were open til 6pm. After taking a scan around, I settled on these palm sized pound cakes covered in chocolate and a small cheesecake. BOTH WERE AMAZING. Seriously, couldn't have been happier with this new discovery. The flavor on the pound cakes was perfect as well as the texture, I can't describe it any further. I put them on the table, quartered and they were cleaned out even before the pies on the table were touched. These will be my new go-to dessert to bring to cookouts. The cheesecake, oh man, the cheesecake was just right in every way possible. Thick and creamy, with a slightly firm 'crust'. Very happy about Pisker's Bakery and even happier to have tasted those pound cakes. I will certainly be heading back here. read more

It had the perfect crunchy exterior to moist fluffy interior and just the right amount of glaze. The danishes are also wonderfully soft and tasty. This is now my go to spot for donuts. They have a great variety of donuts, and each one has great texture, flavor, filling-ness (if that's a word) and is not too sweet or too airy. Their twist donuts are the best for dunking in coffee! If there's one issue, it's that the donuts run out fast, but that's only because they're so darn good. Prices are reasonable too, given the quality you get compared to something like Dunkin Donuts. Plus, at least you're supporting a local family business instead of a chain. When I was a 70's kid, we're talking pre internet, I worked for Mort delivering papers, on fridays and saturdays when it was collections time. I would walk all over town making the collections right after school into the night bout 8pm? I had on my belt a coin gadget for making change and a fistful dollars, Yea kids could do that back then and be safe. Some folks would tip me. With my tips when I was finished for the night, I would stop by Piskers, buy a donut or two, always the chocolate n white cream and would sit on the pond side curb and enjoy. Years later I come back for a visit and Piskers is still there, same delicious donuts, same shop, same address, I pick up a few donuts and repeat, except I didn't sit on the curb across the street, that would just look funny for some old man doing that I've eaten donuts all over the world and I'm telling you there is nothing better than a Piskers donut. read more

very very disappointing! this place used to be a lovely bakery, recently we ordered a cake, when we brought it home it was no where near what we asked for.. the icing they are making now is fake and very unpleasant to eat.. their cake is delicious, and we wanted to order just the cake layers, if they didn't do this we would have happily walked away but were told we were able to buy the layers about a month ago. We called again to place our order and wanted no icing (like we spoke about befor with the bakery) speaking with the owner was horrible, very unprofessional, seeming they were annoyed that we only wanted the layers, when we said we love the cake and just wanted to decorate it with our own home icing, we were told they couldn't work with us.. sadly we will have to replan after heart set on this cake. read more

Which would have been my first cake here to memory (apparently I've had a cake years ago!) , but I will GLADLY report that EVERYONE must try the Lemon Meringue Pie. I really like the cakes pies and rolls that come out of this bakery. It's right around the corner from my house and usually my go to for cakes. The decorations are really nice and all done in buttercream, I don't really care for fondant. It is an old school bakery and could use some updating but all the products are tasty.
