Yesterday I decided it was time to get my nose pierced. After calling around to multiple shops, Pisst Fish was the only one who had availability. They are taking proper precautions (taking temperatures, wearing masks & gloves) during this weird time - but note they are only allowing their person getting pierced/ tattooed in the shop (no guests - other than parents obvy). I spoke with Kevin O. And he gave me all the info I needed, pierced my nose, and I was on my way all in about 15min. Everything seemed clean and I am happy with my piercing! My experiences with Pisst Fish have always been nothing short of incredible. I got my first tattoo done here in 2008, and the guy who did it (not sure of his name) was excellent. He worked quickly, and the pain was very minimal. I'm still happy with the way it looks to this day. I have had over 30 piercings done here. All of them, with the exception of my most recent one, were done by Jenn. On top of having excellent bedside manner, she was clean, quick, and precise. My roommate and I stopped by for piercings last week, and I noticed that there was a new piercer (Becky). I was hesitant to try someone new, but her work looked good and her room was EXTREMELY clean, which is really important to me. Once again, I left happy. She was very quick, and really great to my friend and I. I had lost one of the balls from my industrial, and she happily replaced it at no additional charge. Would give 0 stars if possible. They have no customer service skills. Told me I can reschedule twice before forfeiting the deposit and after my first reschedule told me I can't change again and that I was forfeiting my deposit. Also won't work with you AT ALL to get a design made before hand. Manager is an asshole and not the artist, yet insists on speaking on behalf of the artist meaning you do not have any actual interaction with the artist until the day of. I feel bad for the artist because I'm sure he does great work but the manager ruins it for everyone. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. read more

I called this shop just as it opened and spoke with Kevin. I wanted my ears pierced and was told to come to the shop and he would pierce them for me. I arrived at the shop and Kevin had me sign the usual paperwork and then we went to the piercing room. The shop was clean, Kevin was super nice, the piercing went quick and with minimal discomfort. I went to pisst fish to get my belly button pierced based on the reviews i read on yelp as well as pictures i've seen on their instagram page and my experience was amazing the piercer becky is super nice and friendly she even helped me figure out what size nose ring i need to buy bc they didn't have it available there and wrote it down for me which was awesome of her because my memory sucks. She was super quick doing the piercing and made me feel comfortable. While i was there i also put down a deposit to come get my first tattoo done by chad. I was really scared not knowing what to expect and he asked me if it was my first and made me feel at ease by telling me we could stop at anytime to take a break if I needed. He made great conversation with my boyfriend and I which helped me relax even more. I was amazed with the finished product when he combined the two ideas of the pictures I had emailed him into a beautiful tattoo it was exactly what I had envisioned. I went here to get a tattoo and was given an amateur tattoo... so many mistakes. Lines missing, Font outside of the lines requiring more work I ended up getting charged extra for, coloring outside the lines. Went back to get it fixed, they said they fired the artist that did it and if I wanted it fixed, I had to pay for it because it wasn't their problem. Then I got attacked by the staff when I told them that wasn't fair! I had to subdue the artist that was there when he tried taking me out with a stool, and restrain him until the police arrived!! All the while the receptionist was jumping on my back and ripped my shirt and $300 necklace! Only go to Pisst Fish if you want the worst tattoo possible and are ready to defend yourself. This place is dangerous! The artist told me himself that he was not licensed! I hope everyone reads this and is aware of the dangers the face if they attempt to do business here. They are making me give this place a 1 STAR rating to post this when in reality they have earned about -1 STAR read more

I live in Western MA and went there after seeing one of the artists work on another lady. Great art, clean lines, great color saturation. I was stoked! UNTIL I got there and the artist wouldnt even talk to me unless I put down $100 deposit first. I mean, come on! How do I choose which artist would be the best fit for me if he wont even speak to me without cash upfront? I am looking to get a large, highly specific original tat done that not all artists can do cuz it is a soft commemorative portrait style. Not all artists can do potraits well. Needless to say Pisst Fish is just another bunch of douches who treat you like it should be YOUR honor that they are willing to tattoo you, not THEIR privilege that you chose to display forever on your body their artwork. I called back and asked to speak with a manager and believe it or not the lady who was extremely rude was in fact the manager I asked to speak to her higher up and was told she didn't have one and hung up on again ! I have gone to pisst fish a few times before.. I got my bellybutton done and it healed beautifully. My friend got an amazing tattoo done there too ! So when I walked out of there with a huge, fucked up, crooked septum piercing that was pierced THROUGH MY CARTILAGE AND NOT MY SEPTUM, I was very disappointed. When trying to interact with the piercer on jewelry, he gave me no option and was frustrated when I asked for a smaller gauge. He ended up piercing me with a 14 saying it was "as small as he could go" but from doing research beforehand I knew that wasn't true. I ended up going to Lucky's in noho to get an evaluation, and found out he had pierced my septum completely wrong, crookedly and with lower quality jewelry, so it had to be pulled and be repierced correctly in a week or so. Will not be going back in the future. Please for the love of god don't get your septum done at this place. Go to Lucky's in noho where the piercers actually know what they're doing when it comes to septum piercings. read more

It's been a few years since I've been here. I had two tattoos done here, both done at the same time (fairly small and all black). They got 2 stars only because the QUALITY of the TATTOO. They would have gotten one otherwise. I am very happy with the tattoos themselves. BUT their business practices and professionalism are SERIOUSLY lacking. I have had several more tattoos since and will never go back there because they are a very shady business. I was WAY overcharged for what I got. I was told it would be basically 2 hours start to finish. I thought it was a little much for what I was getting, but OK, if that's their rate... So I paid like $300 for 2 black bear paws (size of quarters) and 1 black butterfly (a few inches). Literally drawn up in 20 minutes and 30 minutes of tattooing. AFTER waiting 45 minutes because the artist was tattooing his "friend" - during MY appointment time. Just really unprofessional. After hearing several more stories from friends, I felt I should post mine. read more
