I visited Blueprint Cafe on a Wednesday morning. There were already a few people lined up when we arrived, and it continued to get busier as we sat down and waited for our food. I loved the selection of pastries they offered--the pandan pastry was definitely my favorite. My husband ordered the drip coffee over ice, and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both coffees were excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste, and it was served in a very small glass. I think it would have been even better with a little more coffee to balance the sweetness. For lunch, we ordered the kimbap and the egg bowl, and both dishes were outstanding. The only downside was that it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the cafe was extremely busy and clearly backed up, so we didn't mind the wait too much--especially since the food was so delicious. The indoor space is quite small, but they do offer outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Asian-inspired pastries and dishes. The egg bread felt like a warm hug on a cold winter day. It had a sweet corn bread taste and texture and when you open it there's egg and ham inside! The play on sweet and savory is just so comforting. I also had the apple cinnamon butter muffin and the muffin top was insanely delicious. The crumble on top of the apple butter was gluttony. I beleive they rotate their muffins regularly which I appreciate. I've had their raspberry matcha in the summer which I remember tasted so fresh on a hot day. And I recently had their 5 spice latte which was a great balance of spice and sweet. Overall, I honestly would consider moving to the area just to live next to this cafe not being dramatic at all. read more

I was really excited about this place! I love that they feature Asian flavors in their drinks and pastries. This store is located near Hopkins campus. It's a very small store and feels a bit cramped. I did see people doing work there, but personally I found it slightly too dark inside. As for the coffee, I was a little disappointed in my black sesame latte. I'm sure their regular drinks taste just fine! But my latte had very gritty black sesame. I grew up eating a lot of this ingredient, and in theory it sounds great in coffee. But the texture was really uncomfortable in a drink format. But I'd like to come back and try other drinks! The staff are friendly! read more

I was traumatized from a different coffee shop because they gave a light colored latte that they called a Vietnamese iced coffee. When i came to Blueprint, I asked the worker Amos if he could make me a proper one and he DELIVERED. This was so good and the color was wonderful. I stumbled upon this cafe by chance. I had never noticed it before because it's a bit tucked away. I am so glad I decided to pop in! The space is small but cozy and filled with great vibes. The person who took my order was very kind and held pleasant conversation with me while I waited for my food and drink to be prepared. I was very moved by the idea behind the opening of the cafe-to give back to the community and create a warm, inviting place for people from all walks of life to come together. We need more places like this, especially during these troubling times. The coffee and food were delicious and every employee I came into contact with-from the barista, to the person who made and delivered my food- were all genuinely friendly and warm. I was looking for a local not chained coffee shop and stumbled across Blue print Cafe. What an amazing and gem that I happened to choose. It can be missed as the entrance is tucked away off of St. Paul St down a couple of stairs with little business posting. Its not a lot of seats and I happened to come when there were a couple people inside. I ordered the raspberry Matcha with Oatmilk and a yogurt bowl. Both of these were very tasty. I love fresh fruit and the bowl had an oatmilk chia pudding with house made granola. This is a unique and pleasant asian cafe with daily fresh baked asian pastries daily. Blueprint Cafe is a little hidden gem that is sure to be the neighborhood go to. Located in what used to be the Carma's Cafe now sits a quaint little cafe called Blueprint. Which you might be sure to walk past and never even know it's there. Blueprint gives a laid-back, no frills, casual cafe which is a nice deviation from all the hustle and bustle happening outside. Whether you're looking to set up shop to get some work done or grab a latte with a tasty Asian pastry, Blueprint is a nice spot to do so. There isn't a ton of seating inside, but they do offer outside seating as well. I tried the Iced Raspberry Matcha and a few pastries and took a seat to finish clocking my 9-5. The matcha was delicious and the pastries were quite tasty. The staff was really nice and helpful, and you could tell they take pride in the products they sell and drinks they make. Whether I'm in the need for a workspace for the day or just looking for some yummy food and a coffee, I'll definitely be back for a visit at Blueprint Cafe soon. read more

I got to catch up with friends three times over the course of two days at this cafe. Service is kind and personal. Not many cafes I've been to play classical music, and as a classical musician this has been one of my greatest delights to discover that this plays classical music!! A friend joked it makes her sleepy hahaha. I've been recommended the following as a must-have: *the pandan pastry *the matcha and black sesame pandesals I tried two of their sandwiches (sun dried tomatoes and another of which I forgot) and their curry as well. I had so many good reviews about their asian inspired pastries that I was dying to try it. I hate to say but the Pandan cake and Matcha Pan de Sal were a little disappointing. The Pandan cake was very dry and so was the bread on the Matcha Pan de Sal. My black sesame latte was very mild and came unsweetened but husband's Vietnamese iced coffee was pretty good. What an adorable little coffee nook with DELICOUSSS Asian pastries! This spot was recommended to me by my roommate, while we were looking for somewhere to sit down and work on midterms. This spot is tight with limited seating, and you might miss it when you walk by, so look for the blue cafe sign! Now that it's warming up outside, the outdoor seating will be preferable. I ordered an oatmilk cappuccino, but found myself envying the ladies next to me who had ordered iced matcha latte with raspberry syrup. The coffee here is dark roast. The Vietnamese Pandan was so good I had to order an extra to go! The baristas are very kind and happily make small talk. Also, this cafe is owned by an architect professor at MSU! Cute and cozy coffee shop with Asian pastries. We tried the Spice Knot and it was amazing! It was like the best cinnamon roll that you've ever had. I also had the Luna (Ri)piena and I loved it because it was stuffed with Nutella (though my fiancé did not because of the same reason). Service was excellent! When we first arrived, there weren't any labels on the pastries so the person at the front took his time explaining each and every pastry. Highly recommend! read more

Went to blueprint two days in a row, spent around $15 per trip just got a pastry and matcha, the lunch sandwich, then pastry/matcha next day. Great place! The people there are nice and the pastries are super creative/asian inspired and delicious, would love to come back and try the pandan bundt cake. read more

A very small coffee shop with a few sandwiches and dishes on the menu. (Menu was even more limited because the cafe will be on holiday starting December 23.) It is a student handout with about a dozen seats in Charles Village. This solo senior was treated well and enjoyed the quiet conversations. I stopped by for a lunch of a cortado and crab congee (rice porridge). It proved to be exactly the meal on a raw, windy day. The crab was generous; the porridge, bland and filling; and the homemade chili crisp added heat. I'll be back to sample some of their more 'exotic' menu items. read more

Nice little cafe in Charles Village. Service is okay but it gets busy. The lattes are crafted well but the cafe is limited with syrup options. I came for coffee and pastries but the pastries didn't look fresh and the area was too open and not enclosed enough for my comfort level. So I got the classic turkey sandwich and it was excellent. Focaccia, pickled onions and cucumber with a hummus spread. It was delicious. I'll be back and maybe one day I'll try a pastry. read more

Blueprint Cafe might be tiny, but it's also kind of a gem. A bit hidden down some stairs on 32nd (just off St. Paul), Blueprint is tiny - a few tables inside with a few more outside. It definitely feels like you're in a tiny basement cafe. Despite its size, it offers quite a lot: a long list of beverages and a ton of gorgeous pastries. I stopped by on the walk home to Hampden from the farmers market. It was this month (October), but still warm on that walk home, so I got their strawberry lemonade. Delicious - fresh, tart, made from real fruit. It was a great drink for a warm day. Our friends got a couple of coffees and a pastry. I wasn't hungry, so I just drooled over what they had in the pastry counter. Wow - really gorgeous pastries. Definitely coming back for one of those. The service was great as well. Given its size, I probably wouldn't choose Blueprint for a place to study/work/read, but it was really a surprise to me - tiny, charming, with pastries as beautiful as some of those flashier bakeries in town! Blueprint is tucked in Charles Village and if ya blink, you may just miss it. We stumbled upon it in August one day running errands and do not regret our find. Since then, I've been back and tried some additional goodies. On all of my trips, just had plain coffee- iced or hot. So, not feedback on any speciality drinks that are popular but their coffee is solid. My favorite part is their baked items. We had the pandan adorable mini bundt and both loved the texture and the unique flavors. Recently, went back to do so some personal work there and enjoyed the Black Sesame Pan de Sal. It was heavenly. I've heard their soups are really good (while I was working people were even discussing with other guests how good their soups are- on my list!) but I can say they do baked goods very well. If you want a large space to spread out to study, this isn't a good place for that, but if you want to just sit an enjoy some coffee with a friend or drink and read a book- this is a great cozy spot for that. read more

blueprint is located in a little spot off st. paul and down some stairs. it can be easy to miss, so look out for the sign for the cafe. i've been here several times, and it has become one of my favorite cafes in the area. it is quite small, so be aware that you may not find seating. the first time i came i got a blueberry thyme pastry, which was really delicious and not too sweet. the meringue was a little much, but overall i would definitely get it again. i also got the vietnamese curry stew, which was AMAZING. the spices were perfectly balanced and the bread it was served with was next-level. the other times i have gone i've gotten the raspberry pie muffin. which is really tasty! it has a crumble topping and tart raspberries for a perfect balance of sweet and tart. i like this one so much that my roommate started picking one up for me when she goes here. the food here is great, but the service is even better. i didn't catch her name, but there is a woman who works here that is so kind, personable, and provides top-notch friendly service. i don't usually expect great service at counter service places, but the staff here is excellent. i have and will continue to come here regularly. read more

This is their one month + soft opening. Not a big space. The deco and atmosphere is great and has a cool hipster vibe. All the pastries are made in house, and most flavors are asian inspired. I ordered the pistachio milk bread and Matcha pan de sal. Both pastries are really good, good texture, and its buttery. This coffee shop offers espresso style and Vietnamese coffee. I ordered the latte, I think it's just okay. Since they just opened I would give them a pass for now. I would try other drinks next time. So far the service is great, I hope they keep running this shop. it's great to see another alternative coffee place near Homewood area.
