Yeah so this is another place that I frequent constantly. My office is literally a three minute walk. I come here for coffee, empanadas and sodas. The coffee is out of this world delicious and affordable!!! The empanadas are always fresh and full of flavor. I like to sit on the patio and eat when there are dogs outside playing in the pen. I can look over it and talk to them and watch them running around having fun. Certainly makes for a better work day.

Come in here for the opening of the cafe probably isn't the best in ways of reviews. I feel like opening days are little bit too hectic to get a real understanding of the food the staff and what's going on. But I can give you my honest opinion of that first day and hopefully the next time then I go back and maybe is a little smoother. Number one the food was great. The empanadas were made perfectly and the filling was just really good. The beef was spiced perfectly with I believe little bits of potatoes in it totally delicious with some of the chimichurri sauce. The chicken was kind of like a jerk roasted chicken that tasted great with the avocado sauce. And a ham and cheese just tasted good without anything on it, but we did add the Jalapeno cilantro sauce to it. The food was wonderful. We also got two desserts that I was a little less impressed with. Well they're really good I just expected them to be homemade and not store bought out of like a package. But I should have asked I just assumed that they would be homemade since everything else was. The rice pudding and the coconut flan we're really good but like I said just not homemade. It was slightly disappointing. We also got a cup of coffee and some iced tea that were also good because you really can't mess up either one of those. Well you can but this was a coffee shop so I really trusted them and it was well-placed. The only issue we had was that there was just way too many people and the staff seemed a little bit overwhelmed. Which is totally a first day opening type of thing. The only thing that kind of got me a little confused was that after I ordered the lady left and never took my money and so I was just standing there with my money in my hand waiting and they're like oh you can stand off to the side to wait for your food and I'm like yeah but I didn't pay yet. I'm sure the organization will come with time but I would have hated to see people walk away and not pay for what they got. This Cafe is down the street from my house so I expect to come here a lot. I look forward to them growing through the new Cafe days and really excelling and what they do. I wish them the best and I hope that things go smoother in the days to come.

Came here on opening day and it was packed! C'mon, it's a dog friendly cafe so that's expected! Okay, now down to the details. Space: There are several small tables on the patio. No seating in the ordering and pickup area, pups aren't allowed there either. There was also a tent with tables, but it might be am opening day thing. Food: The menu is a bit eclectic. Empanadas, sweet pastries, milkshake, and coffee. Not so much the Cuban theme as described. We had a spinach, beef, and chicken empanada to share with chimichurri and jalapeño and cilantro dipping sauces. Hubs had an ice tea and I did a mango milkshake. The drinks were fine and milkshake was overpriced--$5.50 for a small. The spinach empanada was okay, a bit undercooked dough wise. The beef and chicken empanadas didn't have enough cooking spray and they were hastily panned off, so the filing was falling out the bottom of them. Bummers. Sauces were tasty, not much heat in the jalapeño cilantro. Service: Friendly, but still working through the kinks. They didn't expect the opening day crowd, so there was a bit of a line. We were also waiting for more empanadas to cook as they weren't expecting the volume. They had spinach and ham and cheese handy, but a group of 5+ of us waited for them to be ready. They didn't know who was waiting for what and didn't go in order of who actually ordered. Bit messy. Atmosphere: It was laid back by in large. There was a band, but probably because of the opening day. There were a couple photographers there, who were a annoying. Not sure if they were part of the cafe or what, but they would take photos of dogs without owners' permissions (and get in owners' way) and there was no sign that they were photographing. This part was off putting. We'll be back as it's a fun space for pupster. Hope they get the kinks worked out.

    Happy after his shave.

I was so nervous to get my dog groomed. I have had him for about two months and I am still getting acquainted with his behavioral issues (and there seem to be several). He has shown some aggression and gets particularly weird about his coat (he is a husky/American Eskimo--lots of hair). I brought him to Nicola and talked to her about my concerns (mostly nerves about him getting aggressive with her). I was relieved when she told me he reminded me of her dog, and I felt comfortable leaving him with her! I asked her to shave him down. Not sure if I will keep it that short but I wanted a fresh cut for him so we can work on him getting used to a brush. She left a poofy tail and a cute cut around the face. I trust Nicola 100% and I will absolutely be back. The price is great, too!

Ask the Community - Dog Daze & Cafe

I have a husky/American Eskimo mix. He is very sweet with people he knows, but he hates grooming/being brushed (which is apparently common for Eskis). Does anyone else have a dog who is weird about grooming but has had a good experience here?

Our Rottie won't let anyone but us touch her feet but has been successfully groomed with nails clipped at Dog Daze twice. Nicola is the best!

They said absolutely if she had all her vaccinations which she does. We arrived and they were so nice to her and us. We were given a link to keep an eye on her throughout the day, she had so much fun but was a bit shy! They took her to eat with them making sure she had a bit extra care. When we arrived they brought her to us with a gift bag filled with toys and treats for her and us. We were told she had an amazing day and was welcome back any time. We asked about how to pay and they informed us her first day was free. We were absolutely speechless, it isn't very often that a business cares and truly appreciates our business. We were also impressed at how they loved each dog that walked I. As if they were their own. I will definitely be taking her there for many of the amenities and services they provide. A huge thank you for taking the time and loving what you all do.

I can't say enough amazing things about Joni and her whole team. I don't think I could trust my fur baby's daily care to anyone else. My dog was still only 5 years old when they first started taking him for daily walks while I worked and went to school. Since day one they have always sent pictures and a short report about their daily visit, which is always a great way to brighten my work day. They have been with us through so many changes, highs, lows, and milestones and to us they feel like family. My dog is 10 years old now and they recently noticed some changes in his demeanor and affect before I did and they alerted me right away so I was able to get him early care and treatment! They've been excellent with helping him get his stamina back up with his daily walks! There aren't enough words to express how truly amazing they are and how grateful we are to have them! As a side note, they are great with our kitty friends too. You can tell that they all genuinely love animals and caring for them!
