I've been on pizza bender recently and this was my last stop! They were at an event I went to and thought well I've had pizza the last few days but I'll never turn down pizza! Lol! I knew they do the old style French bread pizzas my brother in law asked like from the school cafeteria!?! I said yes! But fancier, more adult-y! We got meatballs, and 2 pizzas... let me tell you there was no complaints! Everything tasted great! I was so happy the pizzas bread was light and crispy, the cheese was plentiful, toppings great! We sat in the shade and enjoyed very much! I ate half and thought i was done but ended up eating the rest later, it was so good! Would definitely eat again next time i see them! read more

My neighborhood has been blessed with many wonderful Jacksonville food trucks over the past five weeks. Pizza Brigade came through recently and well who doesn't love pizza? Me, me, me, I love it! The pizza style is different than most. They use French bread as the crust. At first I wasn't sure if I would like it as some French bread can be a little too crunchy for my taste. But then I got home and ate. WOW! I was impressed. The bread was soft and the toppings were plentiful. I ordered the Hippie Chick, minus green peppers and black olives and I added sausage. Yes, I added meat to a veggie pizza lol. I thought a protein would be a nice addition. The toppings were fresh and the pizza was gone in no time! I also ordered the spiral pepperoni rolls. Their version of a pepperoni roll is unlike any I have ever seen or tasted. Each bite melted in my mouth. The cheese sauce on top and the marinara sauce for dipping pulled this side dish together nicely. If you see this truck do not miss your opportunity for a great meal! And you MUST order the pepperoni rolls. I promise you will thank me:) read more

I agree 100 percent with my fellow helper Michelle D. Here are my personal additions. I found them at the Urban Food Court downtown. I liked the pepperoni bombs. I think the alfredo has a wonderful hint of nutmeg, perhaps. Def a shareable item. I asked for a meatball pizza and I really enjoyed it. For the good number of food trucks I have visited in recent years, this one is among the best! Mark this food truck! If you see it!! Order from it!! Yes, I am very enthusiastic about Pizza Brigade and this is even more amazing in that French bread pizza to this day is not my favorite type of pizza. But I was wowed - as were many of my friends! It got so bad (well good for this food truck) that they quickly ran out of food and had to leave early. I like the simplicity of this food truck. It does carry some sides and I ordered the meatballs. It comes with three large meatballs with a good-tasting sauce on top. They are very tender and near-perfect, except for the high salt-content. Bring that down a little and they go from good to great in my book! As for the French bread pizza I ordered, I got the deluxe. This is the classic pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onion style pizza. Yes, I wanted to be a little conservative trying a new pizza place. I can be critical having been a manager at Domino's in years past. But I will say that this was the best French bread pizza I've ever had. My friends raved about it too. Well, when the day comes that I get a second crack at this food truck, I'll change my score to five stars if I'm as happy as I was after the first try! I was super excited to see Pizza Brigade signed up to service my office during lunch one fine Thursday. French bread pizza is honestly a staple in my diet and I felt quite satisfied with Pizza Brigade's rendition of it. I can't remember the official name of the pizza I ordered but it was a BBQ sauce base with chicken. The portion size was generous and packed full of yummy toppings. Their other selections all sounded pretty tasty too. I can't wait to try again! They weren't the quickest food truck I've ever visited but they say you can't rush perfection, and I believe that. The prices were OK, but could have been a bit lower. Still a pretty decent value. I'll definitely catch them next time I see them around town or at my work! read more

I will have to say the concept is excellent. I mean who don't like French bread pizza. It was a staple is my mom's house. So that being said the also have a skateboarding theme. The have tons of stickers from days gone by that used to have on my boards. Ok pizza they have this wow super sonic blaster round turbo over/ pizza oven. This thing will make a pizza in about 1.3 minutes. I went for the deluxe ( my norm) and I will say it sure brought back memories of my childhood. It was good crispy on the edges and bottom but soft n chewy center. The guys in the were happy I noticed their shake boarding decor. It in all was a good experience and will return. read more

Oh.my.gosh. SO GOOD!! My building gets a food truck once a week. Sometimes they are hit or miss, but this one came by for the first time this week and I'm in love. I had The Islander and my husband had the Deluxe. I spent a long time trying to decide between the Queenie, The Southern Man and the Islander. I need them to come back soon because not only do I want to try the Queenie or Southern Man next time but I NEED another Islander. So freaking good. Do you like Stouffer's French bread pizza? If the answer is not really, then great! If your answer is yes, then even better cause this food truck has French bread pizza that will blow your mind! This is French bread pizza at its finest! With so many different pizzas topped with what I would consider the freshest ingredients you're bound to find a pizza you'll love! But wait, there is more! They also have wings! Their wings are smoked for 3 hours and are delicious. I don't know what specific flavor I had as it was a sample that was given, but they were on point! I assume mild because that is the safest free gift to give to a customer. Now at this point you might be convinced to talk your co-workers or neighbors into joining the brigade because of their unbelievably delicious french bread pizza. Or maybe their delicious, labor intensive wings (3hrs!) are the hook that brings your crew in to join the brigade but wait, there is more!! Okay, so these are the anchor, the hook, the 900 (skating move that goes with their Powell Perelta sticker on the shaker and other skate references), the pepperoni bombs are just that, the bomb! It's like dropping into the perfect double overhead bombing wave! Pulling off the impossible 900 or any other holy grail that you can think of, they are so good they will blow your mind! They also have garlic cheese bombs that I haven't tried but can't wait to dive into them in the future! Bottom line, you gotta try this food truck that decided to take a childhood classic of French bread pizza and put some grown up flavors on it. This pizza food truck came to a pool party today & my moms friend had decided to go up & buy some pizzas & she also got some pepperoni bombs. We had expected it to be two small sharable pizzas but when we opend the box all it was a publix sub bread split in half with can tomato sauce & cheese. The pepperoni bombs weren't even fully cooked! When we bite into it all the dough wasn't cooked. What a waste of 25$. read more
