My husband has been on a pizza kick lately, and I noticed this place was nearby and had good reviews. I phoned in an order for a small pizzolli (white pizza - turkey breast, bacon, and spinach) and a medium pizzolli (meaty) and was told it would be 15-20 minutes. This was on a Saturday around lunchtime, and I arrived within eight minutes so I went in to wait for my order. This place is located in the same strip as the Lowe's, behind Cracker Barrel. The restaurant seems quiet and clean, and they have beer and wine but not a full bar. There seemed to be seating for small groups, and they likely pull tables together for larger groups. There was also bar seating for individual diners. There are pasta, salads, and sandwiches, but I'm not gonna be the person who comes to a place named Pizza Central and orders a salad...soooo I have no opinion on that. We wanted the pizzolli because it sounded fun - it's basically a folded pizza. The crust on these two was SO GOOD. Zero complaints about the two items we got. Watch the price when you're adding ingredients/toppings. We will definitely be back. read more

I was looking forward to this place, but did not have a good first experience. We showed up around 12pm on a Tuesday and the place was packed, good sign! The staff was so kind while and made suggestions while we waited for our booth. I ordered a cider at the bar (it was not cold, but the glass was) and we sat down 15 minutes later. The server was so incredibly sweet and we had heard about the $7.99 large 2 topping special so we ordered that and 25 minutes later were presented with a good looking pie! I bit into it and immediately noticed how soggy the bottom was. We waited about 10 minutes for the server/manager and I told them about the issue. The manager offered to remake it and mentioned that due to the busyness "it was common"...I didnt feel like waiting an additional 25 minutes but she said it would take 10. 10 minutes later (hour visit later) we get our pizza and left. They did take the pizza off the bill, but I dont think I can ever go back to a place with soggy doughy pizza:( read more

If I could rate it a 2.5 I would. Been there a couple times and it usually is great but went tonight and it kinda blew. The jalapeño poppers absolutely suck don't order those. The cheese in them tastes like something ratatouille would regurgitate. The pizza was okay but the toppings were nasty.. no one likes raw onion and peppers on their pizza cmon get ya head in the game pizza central! Great brews and pizza My boss suggested this place for dinner and I was not disappointed. Great atmosphere with seating and the bar situation. The food items are diverse enough without being overwhelming. The place is clean and has good parking. I decided to order the chicken Philly pizza which was well baked and very tasty. The crust was crispy and not overly chewy. I would love to have this place in Birmingham where I'm from. The bartender was very attentive and certainly knew her beers. We ordered a 16" New York thin crust with anchovies and black olives... verdict is very good. If the crust was crispy and if it had a puffier crust - we would be talking great. The pie was unusually flat without a pronounced - the crust seemed machine pressed. read more

This is by far a hidden gem in Evans! Visited on a random Thursday as this place has been on my radar for a while. We were seated very quickly (moderate crowd) and didn't have to wait on drinks. I ordered the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer and wasn't to thrilled about the amount of cheese to jalapeño ratio, although they were hot as if the waitress pulled them out the fryer and rush to my table. (Very nice). My daughter ordered a kid's pizza with cheese and ground beef, along with a side of goldfish! I was real surprised that Miss. Picky loved the pizza and was so stuffed she couldn't eat even one of her goldfish. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizzollis and it was fresh out the oven and taste incredible good. read more

The first time we ever came here I would've gave it five stars we had a great waitress checked on us frequently got our order correct the bathrooms were clean and fully stocked and everything was great the atmosphere the dining room was socially distance and everything tonight however was a different story. Try our cheesy pie didn't make it out of the kitchen because she forgot to order even though we joked about it at the table that the pizza was ready before the cheesy pie ever came out. Then I went to the restroom at the end of our dinner and lo and behold neither one of the bathroom stalls have any tissue paper in them. Calzones -Great ! Have had one bad one in all my numerous visits. Lasagna- Worst ever! Very sweet and cheese was burned . Mushy! Ricotta cheese was very bland . The lasagna is why I rated this restaurant with a 4 . Salads- Great! Service- Some times great and sometimes bad-(like tonight)- Server never refilled our drinks and almost forgot our salad until we gave her a reminder. Nice girl but too focused on cleaning not serving us. Alfredo with chicken -Great when served with adequate amount of sauce. Usually the takeout is great. Ask for extra sauce if getting the alfredo as it thickens quickly and pasta absorbs it . The staff is nice overall and we are usually greeted promptly. Prices are very reasonable. Terrible. Mind you, I have eaten at the restaurant many times and enjoyed the food, but tonight we had been working all day and had more to do, so I called in an order for a pizza, wings, and dessert for pickup. Retrieved the order and took it home. The pizza was raw, wrapped in cellophane, with "bake and serve" instructions to put the pizza and pan in an oven for 18 minutes. Called the store back, was told "sorry, all we can do is exchange it for you if you bring it back". We were hungry, so I decided to cook it. Impossible. The pizza was stuck onto a large paper plate (the "pan?"). I tried to remove it to place it on a stone, using a spatula, a pizza peel, a shaking method, or even peeling back the plate like a band aid wrapper. No dice - the pizza dough was glued to this plate. Called back again for further instructions- was I supposed to cook the pizza on the plate? No, it had to be removed. Since that was impossible, I returned to the store to exchange my dough plate foe an actual pizza. I challenged the kitchen manager to come out and show me how to remove the dough from the plate, but no one wanted to talk to me. I was handed a "cooked" pizza in exchange and sent on my way. Got home and it was terrible. Nothing like the good pizza we have had at the store, it was a thick, hastily undercooked pizza. While I have enjoyed the dine in food, I cannot recommend ANY take out food from here. read more

So we ordered their baked spaghetti to go, the young lady that answered the phone was very polite and friendly, the spaghetti however is a different story it had WAYYYYY to much thick tomato sauce and was very salty, I didn't taste any herb seasoning in the sauce, the meatballs that we paid extra for where ok...maybe this isn't their speciality I don't know...I am a scratch made mom, and I never order spaghetti sauce out... They had told me about this amazing pizza with thick, Ooey cheese deliciousness... We ordered it, and out comes a super-thin cheese pizza with tough, thin, greasy cheese. My friends complained right away, but the waitress said that was how it usually looks. She did check with the kitchen for us, but returned saying something about the temperature in the kitchen varies and sometimes it's thicker than other times. So... I'm still not a fan. Best pizza I've had in town. Bartender was funny and very helpful. Even made sure to keep the bar area adults-only when three children tried to sit while waiting for tables - not rudely handled at all (but, thankfully, handled - kids, you'll understand one day). Wait took a while, but not because of slow service: tables are well-spaced and they were all occupied with many folks waiting. This is a Thursday night - wow to a full restaurant in Evans on a Thursday! When we were finally seated, our waitress introduced herself and took our drink orders. We looked over the menu and both decided on personal pizzas. I got "The Destroyer" and she chose "Mediterranean." Wait time for food was not long at all. Delicious! Great crust, sauce, and toppings. Our server refilled water and checked with my wife to see if she wanted another drink - very attentive. Seemed like all the staff were very cheerful and active. Super vibe and overall a great experience. This is our third time here and the have not disappointed us once. We've had pizza twice but I really wanted a sub today. I ordered an Italian, my husband had a calzone and our toddler had nuggets with goldfish. The calzone was just as good as their pizza. The Italian was toasted, which I didn't expect but was quite good and fulfilled my craving. The nuggets were a little bland but good for a 15 month old. Ok so, we visited this place when we first moved to Augusta a couple of years ago. It was not amazing and my husband and I were new and I felt morally wrong sharing my opinion when we were just as green as this place seemed to be. Well I rediscovered this place on account of their amazing lunch deal (I work right around the corner). So great to get a meal for $5.00 and feel like you are in a food coma on the way back to work... That was yesterday.......................and this is today...........oh boy! Well I was excited that I found such a good deal and was excited to share this with my husband. Man! So we came in and got our drinks and our waitress forgot about us and our $5.00 pizzas came out cold and heat lamp warm. I ordered Pepperoni and the hubby had to have Steak (he doesn't deal with pork). This sent my husband into a small tailspin (a nice one, he acted like a gentleman). He called the manager over and explained that we had been here for close to an hour, our pizza's came out luke warm (which is an abomination...) and that he was very unhappy. The manager came over and ended up taking the luke warm steak pizza. I was scarfing my down because I was on a timer....I had to be back to work in T minus 2 minutes. The manger continued to beg my husband to let him re-make it for him, or send him home with a hot sandwich or third option - salad. He continued to say no until he caved and had him remake the pizza. After a friend of mine suggested that we try the pizza from here--touting that it was delicious and that the service was homey and amazing...and the desserts... and well, everything else that could be wonderful about a restaurant, we decided to go and try it out. And it was delicious and the staff were so friendly. I had the Greek pizza and it was so good! The personal sized pizza was enough for dinner last night and lunch today (yum!). The same friend that brought us there also ordered a slice of each of the cheesecakes (White Chocolate & Rasberry, Reese, and Turtle) so that we could really see how good their desserts were. And they really were that good. As a table of 6 we devoured those slices and while we were joking with the waitress about needing three more slices she mentioned that they were homemade by a friend of the owner. And that because of that they always have new flavors. Count me as won over. I have to go back now. read more

This was hands down the best pizza I've had here in the CSRA. We tried a loaded, 16", thin crust pizza, and the entire family was blown away by how tasty it was. We also tried out the garlic bread as an appetizer, and it was amazing - not healthy in any way, but loaded with butter and garlic and the perfect point of crispy. My wife tested out the salads, and they're also top notch. Be aware that their small salads aren't exactly small - the small greek salad could have fed a small family, in my opinion. This was the worst pizza we've had in the area. It might have been a bad batch or a new pizza cook but the dough was overcooked but the veggies and cheese was cold. How does that happen? I don't know if it had something to do with the 35 minutes I sat waiting at the bar while the manager cashed out his servers and the bartender tended to tables. Pizza Central has the best pizza in the CSRA. It is always amazing pizza. They have Calzones, salads and wings as well but the pizza is why people come here. If I could give a zero to this business I would. Me and my family were visiting from out of state. When we come into town we love to visit pizza central for wings and salad. In previous visits, they let me order all flappers when ordering wings. During our last visit they would not allow me to order all flappers. The manager and waitress were both rude. They were also laughing and talking about me while I watched. So no I didn't tip the waitress. She didn't deserve a tip! Now I hear that me and my family have been banned from patronizing this restaurant. How is it the customer's fault that the waitress and manager are rude! How do you ban a customer from your business because they didn't tip your rude waitress! I guess that is what happens when the waitress is the owner's daughter! Well you don't have to worry about me patronizing your restaurant. If this is how your treat customers, you don't deserve my business. There are plenty of places to get wings and pizza besides your business! If you continue to banner customers versus addressing your rude waitress, customers will ban themselves. read more

After 40 minutes of no food, no refill on our drinks. I saw the couple that got seated the same time we did leaving with your to-go plate.. there are too many places in Evans to set up for this kind of treatment. Had to go to the bar for a beer refill. I went here for lunch. The place was quiet, and I received very good service. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza with a Cesar Salad. Both were made very well. The small Cesar salad was about twice the size I expected, and could of been a meal by its self. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap. read more

To start off when we got there the service was ok. We placed our order and received our drinks. After about 20 mins the waitress comes to the table and tells us they messed up bc they made two of the same pizza so they are making the other one and then both pizzas will be out. One was all meat the other was deluxe. So the pizzas come out they look very different. We are the best looking one first which was all meat. It had light colored cooked dough with a slight thickness to it. It was good. Then to the other one which was deluxe. It was thinner crust and darker crust. My husband took a bite and thought it tasted way different then the all meat pizza. He looked at it and realized it was not cooked and full of grease. So him and my mom put their slices back on the pan. I asked for a waitress from another table to get our waitress. She was nice and professional. Our waitress comes to the table and I explain it is not done. She says ok can u take the pieces off u had bc I can't put this back in the oven like that. I told her we prefer a new pizza to be cooked. She said she had to ask her manager. So she took the pizza and asked her manager. She came back and said it's being cooked. I asked could it be to go bc at this point we were done eating. So the pizza comes in a box to the table. I had my husband open it. To my surprise the pizza was slightly under cooked again and it was thin as a sheet of paper. It was so thin it was stuck to the paper on the bottom and some of the ingredients fell through. So once again I asked the nice waitress from another table to get the manager. She said she was very busy but maybe she could help. So I explained how inconsistent their pizzas were cooked and I didn't feel comfortable paying for a pizza that was thin and still slightly under cooked. She said so u would like it removed from your ticket in a nice professional way. As I said yes our waitress comes up and asks what the problem is. So I explained it and so did the other waitress. Our waitress from then on had an attitude. She snatched the pizza off the table and the other waitress said they would like it removed from their ticket. Our waitress then leaves the table with attitude. She comes back gives my husband the ticket while she huffs and puffs and says is everything correct on the ticket with a nasty attitude. We agree it is and pay. At this point my husband and mom are surprised at her attitude and my husband who usually loves giving tips says she doesn't deserve a tip. 1 we had to wait til after the pizza came to get plates and napkins. 2 she took the issue we had with the pizza to heart. Well I decided you know what I'm still going to give her a tip bc two wrongs don't make me any better. I hope she sees this and she is trained again about her attitude with customers. Her attitude and attentive service is what gets her a tip. She very well could have gotten more of a tip had she taken some responsibility instead of having such a nasty attitude towards us. I'm sure her or anyone else would have been unsatisfied with the low level of uncooked thin pizza she thought we should be happy to walk out of the store with. We will NOT be back. Overall great place and a friendly environment. My friend and I go here after the gym all the time and get the buffalo chicken pizza. It's is to die for. Make sure you get a side of ranch to dip it in. They also have the best coke. After a while we became regulars and then they stopped charging us for the sides of ranch so they definitely take care of their customers. Pizza is always done in a timely manner.
