Went here after church wanting some Italian. This was our second choice after another restaurant wanted to make us wait over an hour. We walked into this quaint restaurant. It's a laid back type of restaurant, with tables and bar tables to dine in. Seems like most of their business is takeout. They had an assortment of all the typical Italian dishes, pizzas, and desserts. Food was pretty good, I even liked the meatballs and being Italian I tend to not like meatballs from restaurants. I had the chicken parm, it came Al forno with the cheese melted on the top, which I like also. Wife had the meatballs and spaghetti and she enjoyed hers also. We also got a pepperoni pizza to try, they have the small cup pepperoni which we prefer too. Was quickly served in the aluminum dish/pan they cooked it in. Nothing fancy just decent Italian food served quick.

We have ordered food from Aroma's on multiple occasions. Fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parm, lasagna, pizza have all been very good. But tonight was a disappointment, 3 out of 4 dinners tonight were burnt along with the bread sticks

I would give the food here 5 stars but there were a few things that made me rate it 4 . I had been reading/hearing good things about Aroma's for some time so when my daughter wanted to take me to lunch, I proposed we try Aroma's. I rarely go to Italian restaurants because I can prepare a lot of those dishes at home but I like supporting family run restaurants. The building has gone through many transformations. The last time I was there it was a soul food place. The atmosphere is no frills casual and clean. It was toasty in the restaurant and I remember thinking the same when it was a soul food place. The service was fine. You put in your order at the counter but they brought our food to the table. My daughter ordered the lobster ravioli in alfredo topped with prosciutto and I got the baked ziti. Both were served with a side salad and a bread stick. Both dishes were truly delicious. We also got the mozzarella "logs" which had great cheese pull and was served with a yummy marinara sauce. Where Aroma's lost points was in presentation. First there are only bottled drinks. I exclusively drink water with my meals and was given a bottle of "Smart" water for $2. I much prefer fountain drinks and complimentary water. Secondly all the food is served in to go containers which I found off putting. I think I will order to go next time and I would like to try their pizza . So in short the food is outstanding but they come up short on ambience and food presentation.

Nikki and Tiffany are awesome!! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Easy to get in and out of.. They get their sauce from Italy so it's not acidic. We had the Ravioli, Lasagna and the Meatballs.. They were all great.

I ordered a Stromboli and got a calzone. While there was plenty of meat/mushrooms inside, I felt it could've used more cheese and sauce. The outside seemed cooked but the inside wasn't super hot. I ended up taking it home and putting it in my air fryer. Be sure to go to their website and not order on this app as Grubhub charges more. I grabbed a menu and saw their REAL prices. They're better. I'd try something else next time.

Recently got takeout from Aroma's. It was easy to order online. The Stromboli was huge and packed with pepperoni and sausage. I also tried the lobster bisque which was pretty good but probably too cheesy for me. They included what I think was croutons on top so they were soggy so that was a bit odd. Staff was nice when we went by to pick up.

They have a number of stuffed and warm cookies to choose from. I couldn't decide on just one flavor and so opted for two! This was a bit of a mistake as their cookies are really large and dense which I discovered when the worker placed the first box with one cookie on the counter before me and it made an audible kerplunk. My goodness! I got their chocolate peanut butter cookie as well as a sugar cookie. When I realized how ample the cookies were, I gave the sugar cookie to the hotel clerk at my hotel, so I can only speak to the chocolate peanut butter cookie. It was sweet and delicious. I will note that their cookies are very sweet. I don't eat sweets often so the rich sweetness of one cookie was a bit much for me. Were I to go again, I'd probably split one with a friend. That said, the cookie was warm and ooey-gooey. It's kind of an inside out peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cookie surrounding a fudge-y chocolate center. If you like a chocolate/pb combo--this cookie is for you! The workers were lovely. I walked in with no familiarity with the biz and the clerk immediately gave me the rundown of their cookies and how ordering works. They were all so nice in here! Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

So it wasn't a total surprise to find that they have decided to move to suburban Augusta. The new shopping center they've chosen was otherwise still under construction when I stopped in, but several groups of people had found this place and were shopping for ice cream. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. Premium local ice cream isn't cheap, but here I did get a heaping portion size as I watched more flavors being created in the back of the shop.

I visited this place while traveling on a hot, sunny weekend right when it opened, and it was an utter pleasure. Parking: there's plenty of street parking. I parked right in front of the dessert cafe. Free parking. Ambiance: it's a dark themed place with grey walls, a luxurious plush couch, and a dungeon-ish feel. It's more Halloween themed kind of style than luxurious. It's a cute mix of orange and black-grey themes. There's soft upbeat music in the background. Right when it opens is a great time to go! I nearly had the whole cafe to myself! Dessert: I ended up getting their pineapple cheesecake with cheesecake snow. It was light, fluffy, creamy. It's similar to Korean shaved ice or a lighter Italian shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and releases the sweetness. You can build your own and they have premade flavors such as turtle cheesecake, amaretto romance, cotton candy, vampy sour, orange dream, I love you Cheryl much, Mexican candy, pina colada. I ordered large, and I could definitely finish it all for myself! This is a chain that started in California. They start with a proprietary base, mix in the flavors, freeze it into a block, shave it, and then decorate it. In addition, the worker informed me that some of the cheesecake flavors have a homemade purée, with the strawberry cheesecake being the most popular.
