Do not waste your money. Service at the table was the only thing not subpar. I went to the bathroom at first, and there was no soap or paper towels. I informed them because it happens. After our greasy excuse for a pizza I went to wash my hands. Still no paper towels or SOAP. My mother-in-law said the women's were the same and informed the staff also. During this time EMPLOYEES WENT TO THE BATHROOM, so now what am I to think? I know they couldn't wash their hands. What seems to be the manager just hangs out at the bar drinking out of a non covered cup and sitting it in food/drink areas. The pizza is literally a broth of grease. It seems no one cares what's going on here. I could go a lot deeper, but I won't waste your time like they did mine. Just don't go. I've walked past this place several times while visiting a near by store. While visiting the store with a friend, we decided to grab food at Pizza Central. We dropped by about 3pm on a Friday. The lunch group had probably just cleared. There were plenty of tables and booths. Our waitress was nice and knowledgeable. I liked the atmosphere too. We ordered 9inch pizzas since we'd just missed the lunch special, which was a great price. It included a 9 inch pizza with one topping and a soft drink for $4.99. I chose a pizza with spinach and mushroom. It came out quickly and it was tasty. We stayed long enough to eat and then leave. But the staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. Pizza Central has no outdoor seating, but it could be a good addition even though it is located in a plaza. The plaza location affords plenty of parking, which is great. Because they were so quick with my pizza, I'll have to give them a try with pasta or other menu items. read more

Very unfortunate experience here. Waited 30 minutes for a table for 2 after being told it would be a 5 minute wait. They told us that we had to wait longer because they forgot to seat the group ahead of us? Upon seating, we were not greeted for at least 10 minutes. After ordering, we noticed several issues such as employees touching food items without gloves, wrapping silverware without gloves as she used her phone and removed her mask several times to interact with other employees at the same time, etc. Waited an additional 30 minutes for one appetizer followed by another 20 minutes for one pizza. Pizza was absolutley stale and distasteful. Waiters were very inattentive. We watched an employee pick at someones cake slice without gloves and with a drinking straw before delivering it to the table. Also, sink was broken in women's restroom prohibiting hand washing. All in all, very disappointed in the lack of sanitation and safety measures along with basic customer service. Will not return. read more

Attempted to eat at this establishment at 2:15 on Wednesday, March 14th. The sign at the entrance said "Please wait to be seated". I was never greeted, much less seated although a very talkative young lady was busy gossiping with a customer at the bar. I found this place a couple of years ago and its a nice little Evans secret. I gave them a 4 and I'll explain why. The only thing keeping them from a 5 is that every time I order take out its wrong. The pizza is ok but they should call themselves Calzones and Salad Central. This place has the best calzones period. Many people didn't believe me at first but now they're true believers. The wife and I were in for something light so we have been trying their salads and they are spot on. I'm not sure how they pack so much flavor in a salad but man they're good. My mom, son, and I decided to try this place out for dinner. My son can't eat gluten so we have been limited on place we can eat, I heard that Pizza Central had great gluten free pizza. We got to the restaurant about 7pm and we waited 30 mins for a table (even though there were a number of tables open but they hadn't been busied yet.) While we waited, I observed a number of things that were quite disturbing. (1) was the hostesses wrap silverware (while wrapping one girl scratched her nose, played with her hair, and touched other items around her while the other girl wiped down tables neither of them cleaned their hands) (2) I watched the bartender serve customers (she chewing gum the entire time like it was cud.) (3) waitresses all wore towels on their aprons, they kept touching their hair and face before handing customers their dishes (4) only one of the girls working at the restaurant had her hair properly restrained the rest had long hair (one girls hair was so long that her ponytails which touched the towel in her apron If we get sick at least we know why!!! read more

The service is horrible! We didn't wait long to get a table, but after we sat down, not one server came to our table. We waited 25 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence. Three servers walked past us, not once did any of them take our drink order, or say "I'll be with you in a minute." My wife and I decided to stop by for lunch today. This place was packed to the walls. That is always a good sign. We ordered a Greek Pizza. It was probably one of the best pizzas in town. The service was a little slow but the waitress was pleasant and friendly. They offer Italian sandwiches and salads. A little something for everyone. I would recommend this place. read more

I've been here three or four times now and always thought the food was mediocre, and none of the employees ever seem to be in a hurry. Today I waited almost 40 minutes for a cheese pizza. Because it took so long they voided my credit card payment, but when I got it home the kids said it was gross. It was very bland and had very little sauce. Cheese was awfully dark. The best pizza in augusta. This place is absolutely delicious. I love the build your own pizza. The thin crust is so good. Lots of flavor, not overly sauced like so many places. I haven't tried the pasta dishes yet. The wings are great when they are cooked right. They are big wings with a lot of meat on them, and sometimes they are a bit undercooked. I like them crispy...I've had them 3 times cooked right and 2 times no crispy enough for my liking. Get a side of the garlic butter too! Its really good :) I usually do togo orders and pizza is always hot and ready when I pick it up! read more

First and foremost let me say that I am not writing this review based on one visit. I have been there on several occasions and continue to go there, however, my wife and I stopped dining in there because when it gets busy the customer service is not consistent. On certain nights it is ok, then other nights was not very good. I think this is the biggest reason that we chose not to dine in anymore. It takes way too long to get the food, and if there is a mistake they have a difficult time owning up to it. We ordered a pizza there with the gluten free crust. By the time we got the pizza, it was cold. When we asked why it was cold they said that gluten free crust cools faster than regular. I am not a chef, or even know if that is true, but when I asked to pay for the difference of the pizza they charged me for an entire pizza. Although I gave the pizza back they said I could take it with me. Why would I eat, or subject my family to eat, cold pizza? I paid for the new pizza, and went on my way. At times I am torn about going to Pizza Central. Their food is excellent, but I am not so sure they care about customer service. This is going to sound weird, but I never gave this place much of a chance for pizza until tonight probably because I like their subs a lot, especially the club. Ordered a carryout Deluxe with their NY style crust and loved it. I was thinking, this is tasting like something from my past.. and I figured it out. Reminded me of Pizza Hut when I was a kid.. At some point Pizza Hut changed for me, it is still ok, but for some reason Pizza Central kinda took me back to that flavor in the 80's when Renegade by Styx was still a selection on the jukebox at Pizza Hut.. I think really good pizza is hard to find, and this ain't it. I ordered mine with basil, when I asked where the basil was the guy said "you see the specs on the pizza, that's the basil". My new local favorite. While waiting for seating in the dining area we were entertained at the bar by very personable staff and amazingly low alcohol prices. Once we sat, the great service continued with friendly, helpful wait staff that made sure we were up to date with specials. We were promptly served with great food. The pizza was amazing, the prices on par with a local joint but quite a bargain given the quality. Overall, a friendly environment and tasty food at a great price. We will be back. read more

Ate here with my girlfriend and a friend. The food was delicious, but two of us got food poisoning. We had 20 wings and the destroyer pizza, both dishes were very good. Not a one-time review; I've been here many times for lunch with co-workers. This place has consistently the worst service of any restaurant in the CSRA. They are incredibly slow and have difficulty getting even simple orders correct. Not a good place to have lunch unless you have more than an hour to burn. Don't expect all your entrees to arrive at the same time either. The price is too high for food that's not even worth that much. I got the cheese lasagna and it was $8.99 and I thought it would have been at least as big as those lasagnas you pop in the oven but it was soooooo small!!!!!! It was about the size of my hand(and I have a small hand). The lasagna was so dry and hard to break into pieces. The pizza was mostly cheese. I ordered a chicken fajita 16" and it only had a couple chicken and some bell peppers on it. It looked so ridiculous. But the taste wasn't bad but I just wished there were more toppings. The wings are okay. I got the hot wings but they didn't even look red(like they barely had that hot sauce seasoning? Sauce? On the wing) and it tasted like iron sorta. It smelled good though. The service was really good!!!! Very nice! They kept me updated on how long the food is going to take to be ready. Very polite. A++++++ for service. My recent order of a cheese pizza had brown cheese (burnt in term of cooking cheese) on top and an under cooked crusted on the bottom (white, not any kind of "bread brown"). Understaffed on a Saturday night. 2 waitresses running around with minimal help. 3 bus boys stood behind our booth chatting and watching the football game on the TVs all night, very uncomfortable and super annoying. The manager was chewing gum and serving food, health code violation. We ordered a calzone and got a pizza. The manager set down the pizza, we told him we had ordered a calzone instead. He said "Oh sorry" and walked off. Couldn't believe it. Our poor waitress was flustered and apologetic, and told us right away she'd get the calzone in a togo box free of charge. Waitress was wonderful in a hectic environment tonight but management needs some help. Would be a hands down one star review, but our waitress saved an otherwise awful dining experience. There's an old saying, pizza is like sex, even bad pizza is still pretty good. And I think that holds true in this situation. Their pizza is average but enjoyable. Not worth the money you'd expect to pay for a speciality pizza restaurant. There are two much better options within one mile of this place. The do have a nice draft beer selection and a great happy hour. I wouldn't be excited to go back for dinner but you wouldn't have to drag me kicking and screaming. My review is based on their pizza, not their other foods. First time that we tried their pizza it was takeout, it was not good. Tried it again but dined-in hoping that this would give me a better experience and help me write a more honest review. The pizza still wasn't good. The crust left something to be desired...it was flaky/rhin. I understand that some people prefer thin and flaky crusts (so do I when I request that). But this was not their thin and crusty, it was their original crust...tastes like communion crackers. We waited about 40 minutes to get a 9" pizza and a calzone (saw three other families come in and received their food before us); once the food was received it was cold! I have a few bites and sent it back. They reheated my husband's calzone which by the way he said was very good just wasn't hot when they brung it out. How we I did not want the pizza back. The ham was just packaged diced ham that you find in the deli section of a grocery store and I wasn't impressed. I was hoping for fresher ingredients and a better tasting crust. Again, my husband loves his calzone. He said it was amazing. I've heard that their calzones are good from other people too. The waitress was very nice and friendly just didn't get the food out to us in time. I think it was sitting for a while before she brung it out and that's why it was cold.
