We went for lunch and had the pizza. We thought it was just pizza we were going to eat, but came out transformed with their pizza. It was absolutely delightful !! We savored every bite. The waitress was very helpful . The prices were very good. Not expensive as we thought it was going to be. The following evening came back for dinner. Dinner was very nice. We ended the evening with limoncellos. Very good. For lunch they did not ask for tip, but for dinner it was like they insisted . My husband and I went another night to dinner somewhere else and they did not ask for a tip.

Everything was really good. Delicious food, friendly staff and the best aperol spritz.

Marinara Pizza, Mozarella Carosa, and Pasta with Tomato Sauce.

This was by far the most amazing meal I had in Rome, and probably one of the best meals I've ever had. The menu had so many options that we just couldn't pick one so my friend and I decided to share a Marinara Pizza, an order of mozzarella carosa, and handmade pasta with tomato sauce. Everything exceeded my expectations! The pizza was thin with just the right amount of sauce, and the mozzarella carosa was cooked to perfection. It was crunchy, and filled with cheese that pulled with every bite. But my favorite was probably the pasta. For an extra €2 you get the daily handmade fresh pasta, and boy was it worth the extra money. The sauce had a slight kick which added to the flavor, and the tomatoes were delicious. I probably could've eaten an entire second plate of the pasta! On top of the food being incredible, the staff was friendly and welcoming, even with my limited understanding of Italian. I would make sure to go back and eat 2 helpings of that pasta if I ever have the chance to go back to Rome!

Amazing food and a very friendly staff! Loved this place we found for lunch wandering the streets near the Spanish steps. A real hidden gem!

Stopped in to get some air conditioning and some pizza. We were sat in the front with most of the tourists. Didn't know there was a back until we used restrooms after lunch. Much colder back there. Anyways on to the pizza. We had Quattro Formaggio, white pizza, ham Bianco and a Calzone. Pizza was just ok. Bianco pizza was a little runny. Service was ok, took a while for water and refills. Waiter automatically add 10% service fee on.

Amazing!!!! Just arrived from Lisbon and finally checked into our apt in this neighborhood after a long day of travel, we decided to walked down to see if anything was still open, thankfully this place gave us an experience to remember ROME by! Our server was full of personality, we asked for his recommendations and he served it! The service was just as spectacular as the food, every bite just got better from the bruschetta with fresh toppings to our pasta's & pizza we'd been craving since Portugal. The wine was exceptional and the prices were very reasonable, this is a MUST try destination!

Restaurant near piazza navona (off one of the smaller streets). Food was good, prices same as everywhere (10-14 for pasta dishes), sodas pricey (like everywhere in Rome). Alcohol they had happy hour specials (€5 for the Apperol spritz drink, tasted good!). We also had some wine, and the waiter was very helpful in giving suggestions. Pasta dish and lasagna were tasty. Good portions.

Of all of the pizza in Rome, this was our favorite! The crust is crunchy with that delicious slightly burnt taste from a wood fired oven, while yet firm and chewy to hold the gorgeous buffalo mozzarella! Do not pass this gem up! $10 a pie! Great price, even greater taste.

My first pizza since I came to Italy. The ingredients was of good quality and the spicy salami was incredible! We landed late, but our hotel Inn Spagna called and asked the guys at Ciro if they could let us at eat and it was apparently no problems. The service was also really good and even if I do not know average prices in Rome this felt affordable. With pizzas around 10€.

Linguine alla Cero (misto mare) -- mixed seafood linguini. VERY tasty!!

Great food, environment, and service. I was walking back to my hotel with my family and we decided to stop here for dinner. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating. We were originally seated near where they bring out food from the kitchen, but a table cleared up so we asked to move. This was after plates and utensils had been brought out for us already, but the waiter still readily helped us relocate. We ordered the following: Capricciosa pizza- Definitely recommend!! Lasagna- pretty standard Tutto pranza cappricciosa (large mixed salad) - Comes with tuna. Also pretty standard Linguine al cartoccio (mixed seafood linguini)- GREAT! Linguine all'astice (lobster linguini)- good! Desserts: tiramisu Needless to say, this was the best meal we had in our vacation to Italy. Reasonable price for a great meal in a friendly environment. :-)

This was undoubtedly the best pizza I have ever tasted a sentiment shared by all the family members with me. And to think we almost didn't go here because if some less than positive reviews. Afterall we were in Rome for only one night and wanted very good. Service was excellent and very fun. The white pizza was my favorite. We ordered four different kinds. All were very good.

    Excellent pizza!

November 2012: On my last night in Rome prior to going on a cruise with friends, we were in my hotel room having drinks. We had dined earlier in the evening at a bar enjoying the evening Apertivo. Around 11:30pm, one friend said to me, "I'm not leaving Rome without having a pizza." So off we went. I asked at the front desk (Hotel Parlamento) for a good pizza place that was still open. Pizza Ciro (http://www.pizzaciro.it/) is located just down the street from the hotel. The place was mostly empty except for about five or six tables. The walls are decorated with murals of old Rome photographs, with pretty tile work on the lower portion of the walls. The menu had a long list of pizzas at various prices. The pizzas listed for two or three people were pretty expensive (16 euros and 23 euros respectively, if I remember correctly). I couldn't see the reason to select one of those, so I suggested since we weren't too hungry to just share the Margherita pizza (9 euros). We ordered some wine too. I have to say this was some of the best pizza I've ever had! The dough was crusty and thin, the sauce the right consistency (not watery or overly thick), and just the right amount of mozzarella. We loved it so much that we ordered a second one! We really enjoyed it. Service was fine and our pizzas were brought out quickly. A wood burning stove cooks pizza in just a few minutes. There were other items on the menu, but being a pizza place, I'd stick to just the pizza.

Delicious pasta. Homemade and fresh seafood. The linguini with seafood is the best. The service was very good. Definitely recommend.

They have a small pizza and a bigger size which I would say is about 10 inches. The small size was sold out on my first visit and found out better to arrive earlier (before 6) for these. The Mini pies are good if you want to try a few varieties-so many so little time. Ordered the big Amatriciana (the unloved pasta dish of the big Roman four as a pizza) which was recommended-Pecorino, mozzarella with the Pork cheeks taking it over the top-one of their most popular and rightfully so! On the second visit , they had the small size pies-Friarielli & Salsiccia-Broccoli Rave and sausage-tasty, Fegato & Cipolla-pork liver sausage with onions and peppers made for a "not everyday" and delicious pie. Both visits service was excellent and engaged. This place screams independent and one of a kind but it turns out they are a regional chain with a handful of locations. Amazing pizza with so many options!

Plus, the space is very hot inside, but better to sit near the window or do takeaway. I wasn't very hungry, but wanted one last pizza in Italy. When I saw that this spot does mini pizzas, which means I was able to choose a variety of flavors; I was so excited! Unfortunately, they ran out of the mini pizza dough and only had the large. It really is a shame, because I didn't think the bigger version is worth €15 each. Nonetheless, I ordered the Burrata & Anchovies while the husband got Pepperoni. I really did enjoy the flavor and chewiness of the dough. The burrata also gave it such a nice creaminess to balance the pizza that worked perfectly. Sadly, I had to waste a slice because I couldn't finish the larger pizza, so still a bit upset that I couldn't order the mini. With that said, it's a delicious pizza spot.
