I must say this place is NOT for everyone, it is right on the street and has lots of pedestrian traffic and car noise, it often gets super crowded (best to go at off times or US eating times, as Mexican Culture tend to eat later), and all the staff seem to be tatted head to toe (I'm pretty tatted myself so I found it cool)... NOW with all that said the Pizza is Simply Excellent!!! I'm from CT and our state wins best Pizza in the USA almost every year. Some people say NYC but trust me NYC pizza is trash compared to CT. Its NOT CLOSE, Especially Bridgeport and New Haven CT. Sorry for my digression but I wanted to make the point that I am a pizza guy and that I have eaten it all over the world. When it comes to pizza I like all different types from funky pies in South Beach Miami, to avocado toppings in Cali, Big Thick Slices in Chicago to the Thin Crust Apizza Kings in New Haven CT, I love it all. Hot, Warm, Cold the Next Day. If it's good pizza I'm eating it. This place was actually my Thanksgiving Meal pic since we were outside the US celebrating this year and I wanted something that wasn't a Mexican restaurant and was a Big Hearty Meal. I looked around at reviews before I decided and this seemed to be the online favorite for a good pie in the area. Full disclosure I cheated and got a slice the night before to sample the place just to make sure I was going to enjoy my Thanksgiving Dinner. Ok so we got split a medium pie (they don't do large pies) and we went half Mashed Potato and Pepperoni (my pick) and half Caritas (Wifey's pick). Carintas is a meat type taco topping and boy was it tasty. They even gave us limes to squeeze on top so to get the full experience. As for the mashed potatoes that is my favorite pizza topping to date. Though it sounds highly weird and not something you would want to try trust me once you do it you will never go back. And every friend I have let try a slice is in 100% aggreance with me. As for the Pepperoni that really was the star of the show. One of the 2 best Pepperonis I have EVER had in my life. The other being Salernos in Stratford, CT. Shoutout to them. This Pepperoni was Amazing. I loved it so much that I could fill up a bathtub and bathe in it. Yeah it was THAT GOOD. We loved both of our pizza flavor choices and decided we both would have 2 slices of each flavor as the medium pizza comes in 8 slices. The pizza was of medium thickness but with all the toppings is was plenty and I would say it was almost as filling as a typical large pie. My wife actually could only eat 3/4 slices and said the last mashed potato and pepperoni was all mine which I happily accepted and took home for breakfast pizza the next day. I love cold pizza and this one was a great cold choice (again don't knock the mashed potato pizza till you try it, its life changing). Final thoughts: If your looking for an EPIC weird and wacky pizza in Mexico City and like casual dining this is Definitely The Place. Found this place through Yelp, the food was sooo yummy and the vibes were awesome! Got the Mac n cheese as well as the Buffalo pizza. A medium size feeds 2 people ( I believe it was 6 slices) Their fruit drink was amazingggg, I tried the pineapple ginger as well as the guava one. Yummy, super refreshing and fresh! Our waiter was very sweet and attentive, I forgot his name but a big shout out to him for accommodating us and explaining everything on the menu. I may be the only one posting a bad review of this place, but I was very disappointed. I'm not trying to compare this to American style pizza, but I was expecting for this pizza to have some sort of unique taste/flavor. Our appetizer, Pinchitos de Queso we're out on time and we're very delicious. After we placed our order for pizza, it took close to 45 mins. for it to come out. The place was definitely not crowded for it to take that long. We asked for dinnerware, another 15 mins. We asked for refills on our waters, 20 mins. We asked for a cocktail (juice), 15 mins. An order of the cauliflower wings, which were just bland fried florets....35 minutes. Our check, right away. Our change for what we paid for never came. After failing to find the taco shop we were on our way to, we backtracked and ended up at Pizza del Perro Negro for Sunday night dinner. After conferring on the menu and speaking to the waiter, we discovered that any of Perro Negro's pizza toppings can also be added to a gigantic baked potato. Spud lover that I am, I could not resist the opportunity to have a tater with chilaquiles. When the massive potato was delivered to the table I was pretty excited. As I attempted to plow through it I was less impressed. The potato itself was good but I didn't get the crunch or spice I was expecting out of chilaquiles. All in, I'd say Pizza del Perro Negro is a good novelty stop in this part of Condesa but I suspect if you do your research you can find a number of better options. read more

We ordered a medium 1/2 gastelum and 1/2 chilaquiles; the pizza was a bit soggy and mostly cheese, and the service was indifferent at best (including basic things like not having enough silverware at the table). Awesome pizza! I really enjoyed our meal here, the vegetarian pie was excellent. We have been eating so much Mexican food (I know what did I expect) and it was nice to mix it up with this meal :). The menu was designed really well and there are tons of pies to choose from (both creative and standard).
