    DSP Nice to Meet You
    Carla C.

Bottom bad to get to considering you don't have to go through the busy main street of St Albert. Lots of parking in the strip-mall communal area. Couple dine-in chairs. Tons of super fun specially drinks that the website doesn't do justice. Website does not tell you you can order different sizes which was confusing. Also they have " tropical fury sauce" and "cherry bourbon habanero sauce" but no indication how hot this really is, called the place and they would not comment except to say both sauces are about the same level of hotness. We ordered pickup - quoted 25-30min. We went 45 min later so couldn't say when it was actually ready. Pickup was fast and cashier was nice and super nice to read me some of the fun drinks labels as she saw I was interested. DSP Nice to Meet You : 10/10. Everyone LOVED this one. Crust was fluffy like a focaccia but not too greasy. Felt like there was more toppings and sauce on this one compared to the other 2. NY 14" via 313: 8/10. classic crust which was fine. Loved the amount of pepperoni. BP 12" Hawaiian: 8.5/10. Crust is super thin but not flimsy. Ham was great and decent amount of pineapple. Everyone liked this one. With 4 adults eating we eat had 1 spice of each one and 1 more random spice and we still had a few leftovers. Overall love the different styles and highly recommend the Detroit style.

There's also an upstairs so I assume that more tables are up there. To start you queue up at the counter and pick your meat and put it bun. Ask the guy to recommend the rest because he's got lots of sauces. Then choose veggies and you're nearly there. We also added a coffee which was way too good for a deli. The sandwiches were delicious. The amount was just right. The bun is not huge so you won't be stuffed with bread. It can get messy because there's more fillings than bun but don't worry because there are three washrooms to wash your sticky fingers. Seriously I haven't enjoyed a new place in Edmonton this much in a long time. As for the location... Well eventually it might be okay. It's fine during the day. I highly recommend Patricia Street.

I would definitely recommend, it's a cozy space to bring some friends.

My neighbor had recommended this place to me the other day because I mentioned to her that I have been craving pepperoni during my entire pregnancy but can't have it because of the sodium nitrates! She told me to go give Grapevine a try! My husband and I immediately hopped in the car to go check it out! And lo and behold they had all kinds of goodness! They had farm fresh eggs, little red and yellow cherry grape tomatoes from a local farm pesticide free for $3.50 (awesome!) and all kinds of goodness. They had shelves stocked with local and organically made glueten free pancakes, muffin, and bread mixes. I could go on and on! I also noticed that about 6 people came in while I was there and every customer was greeted by their first name! They also serve sandwiches made fresh and soup to go! All their deli meats were reasonably priced... no specials of the week... but $2.99 for 100 grams was pretty typical of their prices which is great for soidum nitrate and filler free deli meat! I was able to get my beloved pepperoni in sodium nitrate free! They even had quite a variety - honey garlic, spicy, turkey, ham and & ??? can't remember... I left there quite impressed and looking forward to becoming a regular!

This stuff is smoked so much that you can almost eat it without cooking! It`s also only a few cents more expensive per 100g then the regular bacon which is only smoked once. I must say that it was quite busy in there and I felt a little ignored at the beginning. I guess they have their own system on how to manage their customers but it seemed a bit disorganized. Once I did get some service I realized how much they knew about their products. I think they also realized I knew what I was talking about as well. I was really happy when they let me try the smoked bison tenderloin because it was amazing. I immediately ordered 100g because it was so good and they actually gave me close to 200g for the price of 100. I will definitely be back here to get the triple smoked bacon and I will have to try some of their other offerings.

Press'd has a much similar concept to Subway. There are premade recipes to sandwiches a few hot...more cold. Not sure if you could freely add the toppings like Subway. You do get to pick your bread though and I was sold on the limited time offer of Siracha bread. I have to say, at first I was a little stunned with the prices. Definitely more expensive for smaller sandwiches. However, we were in line and committed. My husband went with the classic standby Ham and Swiss with Siracha bread, and I went with The Dilbert -roasted chicken, avocado, cream cheese, cucumber dill sauce, sprouts, spinach, and cucumber. After two bites we were convinced that this was a superior sandwich. Fresh, full, and filling. I loved every bite. Definitely worth the money. They also have wraps, soups, and salads. Can't wait until our next picnic

Third time around was just okay. I felt like that sandwiches could use more toasting especially if it's pressed. It doesn't have the crunch that a toasted sandwich should which is one of the reasons I didn't like it. The flavouring was also mediocre. I also had a cookie that was just alright at best. The prices are typical for a fast food sandwich shop. If you're in a rush and needing to eat something then I guess it will do but if you have time check out a different spot. The staff are very nice so that's some consolation. They also offer free meals for kids on the weekend so long as the adult orders something.
