This place is actually pretty good. This was my first time here and unfortunately for the employees it was at the end of the night. They were very nice and made pizza for me although I arrived at closing. They gave me the $15.99 deal for an XL pizza with 3 toppings and a 2 liter soda which is a great deal. Pizza Guys would often send out promotions and deals while I was a student in Merced, and the deals were often pretty good (around ~$22 for two L Pizzas with two toppings, though I think their prices have changed since then), basically enough to feed a house of 4 college students for a few days. Good portions, and the pizza tasted pretty good, but not particularly exceptional or anything. A solid option if you need some delivery pizza because you don't have time to cook due to being bogged down with assignments or something. Not a bad choice if you want slightly higher quality pizza for large parties as well. My wife ordered our pizza 45 min in advance, when she arrived the girl took the money and went to the back and started to make pizzas. After patiently waiting for several minutes she got the girls attention and asked where the pizzas were?the girl replied oh the delivery driver took them. The girl then once again rudely went back to making pizzas . Then becoming annoyed she asked yet again where are my pizzas? The girl didn't respond and went to the manager and started to talk to him ,meanwhile they are serving patrons who came in after her. Finally the manager came to the counter and stated oh we are going to have to make your order over. These idiots dont know how to run a business and offered us nothing in return for the aggravation they caused us! We will never eat there again and warn all not to patronize this establishment !!! This is the worst experience i have yet to experience from ordering takeout. First the boness chicken wings looked like old dried up mcnuggets. The order is missing two rockstars and the pint of ice cream. Last night I ordered a large pizza and was having my boyfriend pick up. We saw on Yelp, if you check in to pizza guys, you got a free ice cream. My boyfriend walked in, showed employee he checked in and was told no. According to the workers, even if you check in, you have to "spend" over $15. No where on Yelp does it say that. After a long day, and not wanting confrontation, my boyfriend hands worker $1.00 to make our total $15.03. The worker seemed confused and had to ask someone else if we could then get ice cream. My boyfriend said he was treated rudely, pizza was very cold and that we could not be back. I agree with him, pizza last night was awful, and we will not be back. I WAS TOTALLY RIPPED OFF and TREATED VERY POORLY ;( I used to Love this place. Now :( I will probably never eat there again. A mostly cooked pizza was delivered to my house, I called to advise them that the pizza was still partly dough. I was rudely informed that it was not undercooked; the white sauce made it look that way and the pineapple is watery! How a person in the background of the unsure-how-to-handle-this-situation worker was able to determine that the pizza was cooked without ever seeing it I do not know. I finally was offered to RETURN THE UNEATEN PIZZA and only then would they refund me. I said fine, I don't want it! I was called back by another person who then totally said his workers are stupid and he will send me a new pizza or refund my money without the uncooked pizza being returned. I agreed that the delivery driver could return my cash payment that night when business permitted. I didn't need then to be late on their orders just because my pizza was 1/2 cooked, I was being an understanding customer. I NEVER RECEIVED MY $ BACK!!!!!!! A couple of months ago I came down to Merced to visit my family. We ordered some food for pickup and while we were there, a lady in front of me witnessed one of the girl workers accept her cash and then go immediately to make a pizza. I couldn't believe what I saw. I don't mind that they don't wear gloves to cook, because I always see them wash their hands, but I could not believe that this girl had the audacity to not wash her hands while all the customers were watching her. Then, when we told the manager guy about it they started speaking in a different language to each other and she had the nerve to give us a dirty look. I could look past this experience there IF there food was any good, but the food isn't even slightly comparable to anything like Dominoes or Mountain Mikes. They claim that their dough is "freshly made" and it might be, but that doesn't make up for the lack of good customer service and their poorly tasting food. The other day my friend went there to get something to eat at around 5pm and she was so shocked to see that they were BARELY plugging in the refrigerator thing that the toppings lay on top of. SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. and the older guy working there even mentioned to his employee that it wasn't plugged in. I don't know how this place is STILL open. The employees all seem so nice and respectful (except for the younger girl who looks a bit Indian) AVOID GOING TO THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! THEIR FOOD IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY GOOD. I have ordered pizzas for years from this Pizza Guys. Always received good service. Tonight, not so good, I ordered the pizza and was given a price. I always remember the price because I always add on the tip. I rarely need change back due to including the tip. So I placed my order, got the cash payment ready. When the driver showed up he gave a different (higher) price. I told him that was not the price I was given on the phone. He didn't even bother to contact the store and explain the situation and on top of that he was not able to give me change. He took my total payment and said he would return with my change. When he left, I contacted the store and was told what the total I was given when I ordered. I was then told by the manager that he would look into the situation, contact the driver, and call me back.
