Didn't feel like cooking tonight so we ordered some pizza for delivery. The pizza is always consistent with Pizza Hut- it's by no means homemade pizza but it never taste bad either. The delivery person was amazing! We have two dogs and they both went absolutely insane when the pizza was being dropped off but the delivery person was as sweet as can be I almost thought about letting them have the puppies as a tip for being so great! Ordered a pizza to be delivered to front desk of local hotel 2 hours later still waiting for delivery. I called to find out where my order is and got a call center that cant tell me what I even ordered. Local store wont answer phone. $25 for one pizza that was NOT delivered! made an order to Pizza Hut online at 5:15PM. was given the arrival at 5:56PM. at 6:02PM got a notification "delivered, enjoy" to which it was not. called the local store (Altavista VA) and was put on hold for several minutes. Was told "sorry but we only have one driver now and we tried to call. It's still going to be about 30 minutes once the driver returns in 10 minutes or so!" I asked what can be done to compensate the customers that are going to wait two hours for an order and was told "nothing, our policy doesn't say we need to" this was told by Angel (the manager for the night). But I could wait to talk to the head boss "tomorrow probably". I know things get busy! But don't put an ETA if it's not accurate and DO NOT hit delivered to better your times for the store when you can't keep up with the times and flow. I attempted to leave a review with the local store review site and it would not let me complete it. After being guaranteed that in 30 minutes I would have my order and it would be hot, I still did not have the order I placed from 5:15PM. I hadn't placed an order here in over 2 years (probably longer) and I can see why now. 45 min after the initial call, the ordered was delivered. With SPECIFIC instructions and signs posted NOT to do so, the driver knocked loudly and woke the dog and kids. read more

Where do I start. Let's see I placed my order online so that it would be ready when I arrived. When I arrived the screen said my order was ready but it wasn't. I pay for my order and go to a nearby store while I wait. I return maybe 10mins later and the pizza is ready. I leave to walk out the store and an employee runs out behind me stating she needed to verify my order. Realize at this point I am outside in the parking lot and it's cold out. We go back into the store for her to check the order. She finally gets everything together and I leave. I would only recommend this Pizza Hut as your last choice for pizza. read more

When the order goes thru correctly band a good manager on board they're great! If delivery is late you get emailed coupon without asking. When managers have changed they've slacked off in past. Recently no troubles. read more

We were in Altavista on June 4th, 2016 for the Uncle Billys Day event (as we do each year). After having such terrible service at Dominos the year before we decided to give Pizza Hut a try. We go online, finally figure out what we want and place our order for 1 medium pizza, an order of garlic knots, order of 6 honey bbq wings and 4 bottle drinks. The website says delivery would arrive in 25 mins. We knew with the event in town that it might take longer so we didn't sweat it. I play on my phone for a while and then an hour later I decide to give them a call to see if everything was ok with our order. As soon as I give them my name she quickly says "we are so sorry and we were going to call you but your delivery driver locked his keys in his car and he finally got them out and will be heading your way in a few mins. We told him to not charge you for the food". Well I was not too upset because an hour isn't that bad and hell we were going to get $30 order for free! Well 10 mins later the driver calls my cell to tell me what happened and that he would be leaving soon. Well 5-10 mins later he arrives. Hands me the food and drinks and I tip him anyways just out of kindness. He leaves and we sit down to eat. That is when I realize I didn't have my wings. Now sure, I know I didn't pay for them but I still wanted them for my dinner. So I call Pizza Hut back. The line is busy. I call every single minutes almost 40 times. It never rings as if they took it off the hook. I call drivers cell phone and get sent to voicemail. So in the end I got free food. But my biggest complaint is why didn't they call me sooner to explain to me that driver locked keys in car? I could have drove and picked order up. Plus they left out food and then just took phone off the hook! That place needs some serious management! read more

As to be expected in Altavista, service is terrible. Food is never ready in the time frame they say when you call in an order or order online. If employees actually did their jobs instead of standing outside socializing maybe it might be better. Poor excuse for customer service, that's for sure. read more

Arrived at 2:15, all three pizzas were ready and waiting to be cut/boxed, no one else in the store, only one woman 'working.' Took 5 minutes to be rung out, and another 32 minutes to leave, finally, with cold pizza. Won't be back. read more
