They have closed the buffet, and only do "To Go" orders. They still have the regular menu, updated prices but still affordable. I usually get the shrimp fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls for less than like 30$. read more

I have had their vegetable fried rice which was very good. I asked why they no longer have the buffet and the owner responded that the buffet has been closed since the Covid with no plans to ever open it again... IT IS NO LONGER A BUFFET. read more

This review is based off of our experience with takeout only. We love that the price is super cheap! I used to visit this establishment fairly often. I could go to the buffet, sit down, and enjoy lunch. After Covid, they have been mainly takeout. Even a year after Covid was rampant, they are still only takeout. The food was okay, not the best Chinese food I have had, but okay. The establishment was not really all that clean either. I had gone a few times and enjoyed it... But I buffet no more. This is the place I got the most serious case of food poisoning ever. Dirty cups, staff that mostly does not want to be there and you can tell, and yelling from the kitchen. I havd been assured that takeout is much better, but I seriously never go to a place once I end up in a hospital from the food. Hopefully the corona stay home order forced this restaurant to clean everything and get their act together, but I seriously doubt it. An obscure Chinese buffet restaurant in an unimpressive shopping center, it doesn't look like much but it is a treasure. There is a vast menu and as its name implies a "super buffet" for lunch and dinner. The buffet included pretty good sushi, a large number of Chinese dishes, many of them somewhat unlikely to be seen in this area, an array of western dishes, including pizza, and a broad choice of desserts. We noted a number of seafood dishes which were uniformly good (for this area.) Hey ! It's NOT San Francisco. The service is friendly, attentive and efficient. The prices are quite reasonable, both for the buffet and for the regular menu items, for example-- Moo Goo Gai Pan- $7.95 a quart...Combination platters all day - $5.95 to $6.95 . One criticism- the hot foods could have been hotter and the cold foods colder. Other than that, a very favorable experience. The buffet seemed to be restocked at regular intervals, but possibly not often enough to assure the proper temperature of some of the slower moving items. I've always enjoyed the food and staff here. Everything is well cooked and delicious however, their American waitresses they have were rude to us the last time we went. We weren't given silverware or napkins and when I asked for a refill on my soda they gave me water instead. The buffet is still worth going for and I will continue to eat here because I really enjoy the food and the family who runs the business. read more

Well I certainly do not agree that it is a treasure. But, if you read the rest of this person reviews you will see that they are clearly on the beginning stages of dementia. Now to the review, their carry out is pretty good food and decently priced. THE BUFFET is grab your behind and hope you make it home just as their business partners over on Waterlick and in Appomattox. You can certainly count on getting an upset stomach and surely never want to eat at none of their locations if you must return to work. This also includes the vomit hole Choice Hibachi Grill they own. Chinese buffets are shady and sketchy period, I have yet to find one that was not and damn sure have not found one to be a treasure. You most certainly have to have early stages of dementia or some type of mental problem to think this.... BUT, THUMBS UP for the carryout. read more

A couple of years ago when I first ate here I thought that it was delicious. Told everyone that it was probably the best Chinese buffet I had been to as for as flavor. However the last few times that I have eaten here it sure seems like something has changed. Its not bad. It's just average for a Chinese buffet now. Not a bad selection for the area. I'm visiting and am used to bigger buffets. Hot and sour soup had good flavor but wasn't spicy. Food was actually warm unlike most buffets. All items looked fresh. The hibachi chicken did have a burnt flavor but everything else was pretty good. Two pieces of sushi to choose from and one had cream cheese in it, those are not my favorite but the cali roll was acceptable. read more

Bigger than most small-town buffets I've been to. They have a decent selection, including some items that even the biggest buffets don't put out (coconut chicken, for example). What is important when considering this place is the time of day. When they first open, and through the first couple of hours of lunch is THE best time of day to eat here. Also, right at the start of dinner hours. While the food is decent all day, if you miss these peak times, there is definitely a difference in freshness. I come here frequently and have yet to have a bad experience. The wait staff is pretty fantastic. Those that work at the take-out counter can be pretty abrupt and not as friendly, but definitely not rude, by any means. They are very accommodating. In my experience, if something isn't on the menu, or they don't have a flavor available for a certain meat on the menu, they have no problem preparing it for you,,,though you may get some curious looks from them. Alot of small areas, like Altavista, aren't so lucky to have such a good place for Chinese food. Glad we lucked out. read more

On occasion you can go and the food will be excellent other times you go and it's either cold, burnt, or tastes like it's been sitting all day. We used to love this place. Now not so much. I seriously have never been to a buffet and spent less that 20 mins in the whole place. I will NEVER and I mean NEVER eat at this place again. The big red flag should have been when only 2 cars were outside the place!! EVERYTHING was cold and nasty. I swear the food had been sitting on the Buffett all day. I spent $39.80 for 3 ppl and a child. I seriously started to walk out of this place without paying because it was that bad and when I told the servers and ppl behind the counter about it they looked dumbfounded.
