This Pizza Hut location is plagued with a time issue, it seems, from all the reviews and my two experiences. The orders take forever due to staffing, where a 15-minute order via the app actually takes 30 minutes. I have seen only two staff in this location at max, and prior, it was only the single employee. Now, both times the same employee was working as hard as they could, running the back and front while taking phone orders. I assume they were managing online/app orders concurrently while making the food and running the register. The inside of the restaurant has always been super clean, and there are zero complaints for how friendly the staff has been. They have apologized for the wait time more than they need to, as you can't tell the staffing issues are not their fault, yet they are still trying to provide good service. A neat factor about this location is that there is a gas 360-degree fire in the center of the restaurant that is going when it is colder out, that puts out a nice warmth while you are sitting inside eating or waiting for your food. read more

We pulled up to get some pizza. And we must like it not only because it's one of the last sit down Pizza Hut in driving distance but we really enjoy Pizza Hut. We walked in and the lady at the front already seemed like she was mad we walked in. She didn't like that we asked my little nephew what he would like. We asked if he wanted pepperoni or cheese or half and half. He told us half and half. We told us and as she was putting it in he changed his mind to all pepperoni so we said sorry change that to all pepperoni. My sister then saw the pizza box offer and we asked what was in that. And at that point she really seemed annoyed with us. Mind you we are now maybe 3 minutes in from walking in the store front. She told us half melt, melt personal pan or 4 piece boneless chicken. We asked what is that she repeated it again and we looked at each other like what? We then asked I'm sorry what's a half melt. She at that moment clapped her hands at us said there pointing to a board on the wall. She then picked up a menu and before she finished, I took my nephews hand and said never mind we are leaving. They looked like what i said I'm not doing this. If she's having a bad day she will not ruin mine. My nephew is autistic and ADHD. HE STARTED crying saying why why we leaving. Why she do that. He stood outside for a sec and explained to him what happened. And we thought taking him there since it's always quiet he could eat and have no issues. Pizza is a safe food for him so why not. Please train your employees better. At anytime should they act that way with the public. If she's having a bad day at home or at work, show up with a smile. Your tips rely on that. And I'm a great tipper. If her problem was hate then she has an issue not me. Do better Pizza Hut honestly. read more

Stopped in because we had just spent 7 hours on a plane between 2 flights, and the group was getting hangry. So not knowing the area, we turned in to a familiar chain. Not expecting gourmet, but consistency through the brand chain. There were some issues with the service, but a little thoughtful action got that squared away. Pizza was about average for the PH. Beer selection; scratch that, the lone beer choice available was an amber and was do-able; except for my Michelob Ultra carbonated alcohol water drinkin wife. The biggest issue was the apparent day care they run in one corner of the restaurant. There is a 2' tall plastic dog fence stretched out to section off the play area for the "wee-tots". This alone is troubling as about 15% of the dining area is confined behind the fence with toys and plastic balls strewn across the floor of that corner. The real issue came when several other customers came in with children; but these were not the wee-tots the area was designed for, theses kids were well into grade school. The ensuing banging, clanking, ball batting, and cacophony was ear splitting. I lost track of the number of times our meal was disrupted by a ball whiffing by. And trying to watch the football game that was on the TVs, forget it. They need to decide whether they want to sell pizza to families on nights out, or try and knock Chuck-E-Cheez outta the babysittin gig. My personal experience with Pizza Hut is good. The staff is fast, the food great with only occasional errors! However when working with special needs individuals, today. They were awful. The representatives were (understandably) frustrated, under staffed and worn thin by mid day. 1. Repeatedly hanging up the phone. 2. Lying about delivery times. 3. Not issuing a refund or explaining. 4. No clear explaintion to the disabled personal assistant. Only hanging up over 4 times. This disabled person had to organize transportation last minute Pizza Hut. For he struggled to do. Pizza Hut please understand that your community includes individuals still grappling with independence and community inclusion. They are also frustrated and often marginalized. This is a reasonable place to sit down and get a pizza. It's warm as they have a fire place in the middle of the dining area. And they're actually one of the few dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants left in AK. The Eagle River branch is one of the better ones. Although the crew may look a bit rough around the edges but the service is generally good. A couple weeks ago I ordered a pizza and it wasn't very good as it was going through their oven too fast and the cheese hadn't melted fully. So I mentioned it to the manager and the next time I got a pizza from them it was perfect and looked like they rectified the problem. They also have a list of specials that you can choose from which makes it A LOT easier on the budget. Although I would mention they are a little over-priced for their quality; it works out if you get the deals. So I wouldn't give 5 stars but a solid 4 works for me :))) read more

HORRIBLE service and they always seem to screw up on the order. Even the delivery drivers tend to apologize for the in-house staff. Ordered a pizza online and was said to be delivered around 40 minutes. After waiting about an hour (20 minutes late...with no call or email), I called them and they said they were behind and my pizza would be out the door as soon as possible but they couldn't give me a timeframe...simply unacceptable and ridiculous. The person on the phone apologized but for being 20 minutes past the delivery time on a Monday night without any kind of update and then telling me that there wasn't any time of timeframe they could give me, I canceled my order and took my business to Great Alaska Pizza company. STAY AWAY! The absolute WORST Pizza Hut I have ever been to. CONSISTENTLY. Poor food quality - as in YUCK - and the service is HORRIBLE. The food takes forever to come out. It's gross. Probably one of the worst Pizza Hut I've ever had. The cheese sticks and cinnamon sticks were over cooked-almost to the point were they taste like cardboard box. I ordered a three topping pizza and it was good and not burnt. I'm very disappointed since Pizza Hut is my go to pizza place down in the lower 48. I did call to complain and the customer service rep agreed to replace the two if I return them to the store. The man who greeted me agreed that the cinnamon and cheese sticks were burnt. The pizza is hit or miss. The cheese breadsticks are always over cooked. For years they'd deliver to our house. 2.5 miles from WalMart. One day they decided not to. Twice we called a order in and they said they'd "make an exception" and deliver here but it's the drivers call? I guess you have to call and see if the driver wants to deliver here? We tip well. If you like P/H pizza you might just luck out and get a good one, or you might be told that you will have to wait 45 minutes or more because "we are swamped" with only 1 table occupied inside the restaurant ! This is the worst Pizza Hut I've ever been to. The waiting staff look like homeless people. I'm amazed they are allowed to dress that way. The manager would come out every few minutes to watch part of a game on tv but never acknowledged us and we were the only people in the restaurant. Okay pizza that is good for a change of pace. Unfortunately very little value due to the cost.

For the second time in about 2 months our delivery took forever! Last time it was about 20 minutes longer than promised, but this time we were told 45 minutes which seems reasonable for a Thursday night when the driver had not shown at a little over an hour I called to check the status and they apologized and said it should be there soon, but if it is more than 30 minutes late to have the driver call in and have the manager take care of the refund. 20 minutes later (total of 80 minutes after the order) I call back to speak to a manager and get put on hold for 10 minutes Finally our driver arrived and he apologized for the delay and said he was the only delivery driver working. I know it isn't his fault, but 80 minutes to get a pizza delivered 4 miles is excessive. When the lady finally comes back on the phone after placing me on hold to speak to a manager I ask her to have a manager call me since apparently she is dealing with other upset customers. We microwaved and ate our cold pizza. An hour later I call and ask to speak to manager since I still had not received a call back and get transferred to a voice mail where I left a message asking for them to call me back and here I am an hour later still waiting for that call. Looks like Pizza Man and Papa Johns will be our only options for pizza from here on out, as I am done dealing with Pizza Hut! read more
