Since Detroit style pizza has been back we've ordered several times and it has been OK. However the one I picked up yesterday for the GA vs TN game was very good. In fact it was outstanding. As soon as she handed the box to me at the drive-thru window I could feel the weight was there ... which is somewhat of an indicator of things to come. This was my first order from this location after moving in to the area. The order arrived promptly and was accurate. I ordered wings and a custom pizza. The wings were cooked perfectly and the pizza was prepared properly. The only downside was that it arrived as a hot mess. I am assuming they are running low on drivers and they are stacking orders into delivery vehicles. Unfortunately mine appears to have been on the bottom of the pile. I will give them another try, maybe carry out next time. read more

My mom and I were talking about dine in pizza places. We used to love going to Pizza Hut but our local Pizza Hut is take out only. I told my mom that we should go to the Macclenny Pizza Hut because they have dine in. We really enjoyed the experience. The Pizza Hut is about to go under construction because it is quite old. The manager and staff were very nice and helpful. The food was delicious. We missed the old juke box, the cast iron pan, and the red cups. However it was worth the trip. read more

The food tasted pretty good but of course we were starving. This is definitely a raggedy part of town. So don't expect much out of the restaurant or the area businesses. The manager was nice, although they forgot our cookie, then forgot to season the crust, and just kept offering us free stuff as a way to say sorry. our attitude is just get it right then you don't have to take the profit away from your employer. Clearly the employees did not care. The place is quite dirty. And there were several people whistling over the food and coffee way too close to the dishes. We are sitting in the parking lot finishing our food, and we see the Pizza Hut waiter coming out with his apron and his hat in full uniform smoking cigarettes and he walked to the gas station. And now he's coming back and he's going to deal with peoples food while in his uniform that he just smoked all over and walked through the parking lot to another establishment. I really don't think the health department would like this, I know I don't. What all in all were full. My daughter however feels like she's going to puke after she heard me talk to my phone and say this review. read more

I visited the Macclenny Pizza Hut last night. We used to be regular customers, but the quality of the food went downhill, so we stopped ordering from this restaurant. Last night, I ordered a personal pan, Hawaiian style pizza for pick up. When I got home with it, it was very poorly made with terrible tasting ingredients. I drove from south of Glen St. Mary to Macclenny to return this pizza because the smell and taste of it were disgusting. The clerk at the pick up window wanted to give me a credit, which I refused because the food I got was so bad that I won't be coming back. read more

Wow, no wonder it was empty on a Sunday afternoon, the place was dirty with cigarette butts on the ledges leading in and trash all around the door. We were told to pick a seat, we sat and the only waitresses I saw came over and took our drink order, she was friendly; but her Pizza Hut shirt was stained and dirty, and the table was sticky and dirty. We ordered a hand tossed supreme medium pizza, it came out hot but did not have much cheese on it and was very disappointing, waste of $24. Would not recommend or visit again anytime soon. Need new management and a remodel clean up the place and get back to what made Pizza Hut a great place back in the day! read more

On arrival, dining in, the floor and tables were dirty. We should have left then but did not. The server was "out there", and very inattentive. My family and I have been to this Pizza Hut 3 times in the past year. Each time the restaurant has reeked of sour mop. On the first visit the food was barely adequate and the service almost fair. On the second visit we tried to redeem a coupon for a free personal pan pizza. My son got this coupon for meeting his reading goal at school. Upon seeing the coupon, the waitress immediately told us that they were out of personal pan pizzas. I had read online that Pizza Hut would gladly honor the coupon for any item of equal or lesser value. So, I asked the waitress if we could get breadsticks with the coupon instead. She had to ask the manager. When the waitress returned, she told us that the manager said the computer would not allow her to substitute the PPP for another item. We left and headed over to Papa Sean's in Baldwin (where my son got a free brownie sundae simply because our waitress felt bad after hearing about our experiences at Pizza Hut). Tonight we went to get wings after finding that Papa Sean's is closed on Mondays. The food was a okay the service was slow. We must remember to not crave Pizza or wings on Monday so as not to make the mistake of returning to the is Pizza Hut location. read more

Went here for lunch today about 12:30. Restaurant was almost empty. Waitress was named Adriana according to receipt. She took our order, and brought our drinks out 10- 15 minutes later. We ordered breadsticks for an appetizer. She brought them out at the same time as our other food. We had to ask for silverware. She brought out one set. So we had to ask for more. She never checked on us again. Watched her take some paper cups out to another table. I guess she didn't know you could put them on a tray, or keep them stacked. She brought them out in a cluster with her fingers sticking down in the cups. Also watched another couple walk in, stand around for a minute or two, then leave because nobody tried to seat them. Tried to do the Survey at tellpizzahut.com. Entered the store number, and eleven digit code. It told me I had completed the Survey, and I couldn't do another Survey for seven days. Have ordered four times now. Delivery is always late, pizza always cold. The last straw was one that had a footprint in it after the driver dropped it, stepped on it and threw it back in the box. I live in Macclenny, never noticed any sanitation problems; unlike many chains in Jax. Great pizza, WHEN it is done correctly, usual speed for fresh baked food. Try Hardee's if you do not want to wait....and like fried grease instead of FOOD. read more
