We were picking up a vehicle in Florida and we wanted to try something we've never had before since we're from Texas. We found this location and decided to try it out. The location is easy to find since it at the corner and parking is all around the business. Once arrived we noticed that the menu is similar to Raising Canes resturaunt (a resturaunt we're used to). Once arrived the staff didn't seem to happy. There energy was a bit low and I didn't see anyone smiling. The atmosphere was great! There were photos, jerseys, and various things posted all over the walls. So that was pretty neat. We both ordered the #2 Meal with 4 tenders. The price was good, and the order came out fast. Ordered 2 House Zalads. The first looked normal. The second, in picture, had far less chicken than the first, maybe 1 tender, less lettuce and almost no cheese. I was so excited to go to Zaxby's for lunch with my cousin. After getting out of the ER for flank pain and pleural effusion, I was hungry and needed something to cheer me up. Zaxby's was packed and busy in the drive thru like it always is, and it was pretty busy inside as well. The ambiance is always inviting and attractive looking inside with neat decor. The cashier was very nice and took our order with professional care and grace. They did appear to be behind with getting the orders out in time, but it was busy and they took their time, so all was good. My cousin and I ordered the Cobb salads. I ordered the grilled chicken Cobb salad and she ordered the Fried chicken Cobb salad. She also had to order a side of French fries, which I can't blame her, because the French fries are amazing at Zaxby's. The Cobb salads were amazing and fresh as I expected them to be. We definitely did get a good portion for our money. There was a little bit of everything in the Cobb salad, and it made for an excellent lunch. The iced tea was fresh and wonderful as well, as it always is at Zaxby's. I miss Zaxby's very much since I hardly eat fast food anymore, but it is always a nice treat when I do make it to Zaxby's. After a rough morning in the ER, it made me smile to have a wonderful lunch at Zaxby's. Too bad I am visiting in FL and will be going home back to Indy soon, because I would come back to Zaxby's if I could for another Cobb salad. This location was having a tough day when we visited. It took them a very long time to serve each customer as they went to the counter to order the food. I would have been OK if the wait was the only problem however, the fries were slightly undercooked and the toast was a bit burnt. Based on how long it was taking them to serve customers, it was not worth asking them to help with our food quality. At about 1:00, a lady came in to replace the tea. She seemed hard-working, and gave a smile. Perhaps it was going to improve from there, but we had already eaten. 7/8/23 visit. read more

My first visit to a Zaxby's was this one on South 6th in MacClenny FL. Probably my last visit, ever, anywhere. Zaxby's is a chain of over 800 locations, mainly in the South, but I am mystified at how poorly trained the cashier seemed. The cashier is the first point of contact, greets the customer, and takes the order. There was no greeting this time. The order is then delivered to tables according to a numbering system. I asked the cashier, #289 Markelya, what the Zaxby Club Sandwich consisted of, since the menu does not indicate it. She seemed mystified, and asked me to repeat the question. To which she replied, "I have no idea", and proceeded to stare at something about a 1,000 yards beyond my left shoulder. I paused, hoping she might formulate words to the effect of, 'I'll find out for you', but no such luck. So I asked, "Maybe you could find out for me?". Only then did she look down to an information sheet listing the ingredients of a Zaxby Club Sandwich. She hurriedly recited it to me, despite the fact that I was the only customer in line, and then resumed her indifferent attitude. Wow. Anyway, the joke's on me, because I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich Meal ($6.99) instead, which included french fries and a soft drink. The sandwich was literally tasteless, but the fries were surprisingly tender and tasty. I added a star just for the fries. Otherwise, it was definitely a One-Star experience. Driving through McClenney Fl I had to stop for lunch. It's been a while since I've been to a Zaxby and the other choice was McDonalds. We got in line and ordered a Grilled Chicken House Salad and a Greek Salad with Chicken. t did not take long to get our food. Plates were the plastic re-usable. Better than paper plates. The service was quick but the taste was underwhelming. Also the bathroom was in bad shape with the faucet barely attached to the sink. I could have walked away with the faucet. This does matter to a customer. My rating is based on my overall experience. I'm not eager to visit another Zaxby in the near future. McDonalds may have been a better choice on this trip. read more

They have discontinued everything that we liked, no chips, no pickles and now the club sandwich When you order they have an employee out there basically staring you down making you feel rushed. Why can't they just fix the drive thru speaker?? We had to get the new club today and had no way of knowing what was on it because we didn't know the old club was gone and the employee was there waiting so we felt rushed and went ahead and got the new club. When I get the sandwich the box has Zaxs sauce slopped in it hardly any on the sandwich and the cheese is half off the sandwich. The sandwich has no mayo and the bacon looked barely cooked. I had no idea bacon was on it, or zax sauce or no mayo. If I had known it was made this way I never would have ordered it, but again, we were rushed. I have been to this location many times and it's usually very good. They are always fairly quick. However I went yesterday and got myself and my husband chicken tender meals and we both got sick within 30-60minutes of eating. I am a Zaxby fan. It is my fast food of choice when traveling on the interstate. This Zaxby is weird. I don't think the people are well trained on explaining the menu or on plating the food attractively. We got ours to go and it was all just tossed into the box. It looked like it had been shaken. Plus my order was wrong ... I had just ordered the same meal one week ago (different Zaxby) and from this store the meal was very different ... Fewer chicken fingers and a different sauce. For a fast food place, Zaxby's is great. This was my first visit to a Zaxby's, but I used the drive through and didn't check out the inside. Service was fast, and I had my Cobb salad in no time. I tried the honey mustard dressing, which was a great choice with the Cobb. It consisted of grilled chicken, mixed greens, shredded carrots, red cabbage, cucumbers, Roma tomatoes, cheddar and Jack cheeses, fried onions, hard-boiled egg, bacon and Texas Toast. It actually had a few goodies I could've done without, but once it's there -- who can resist bacon, Texas toast or fried onions? Not I, and I happily ate my whole salad. This location has gone down the tubes. The owner - Jason South - opened a new restaurant and apparently he is directing all of his energy and employees to the new restaurant. I went to Zaxby's after I placed an online order - I went though the drive through as usual. I was informed that I could not pick it up at the window anymore - I would need to walk in and get it. IT WAS STORMING AND I WAS SICK. They still refused to hand my order through the drive through. IT HAD ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. I got out in the rain and lightning and went inside. It's a good thing I checked it because part of the order was missing. I contacted the owner and he blew me off. So, basically - avoid this place if you want fresh, hot food, or good customer service. I got the Asian Zensation salad and by the time I got home and went to eat it, I noticed little flys crawling all over it and it looked gross and old. I Called the store to tell them they need to check their salads and they offered a refund if I brought the salad back to them. not worth the gas to go back to town 30 minutes away. The worst run Zaxby's I have ever been to with rude employees and poor practices. Upon arriving to the restaurant there were 3 employees out front smoking cigarettes. It's always a nice fragrance to walk through with a young child with asthma. After walking through a nasty cloud of smoke, my family walked into a restaurant that was sectioned off and closed. We walked to the register and my wife with a gluten allergy tried to order a grilled chicken salad. Only to be informed that they had no more grilled chicken for the rest of the evening. This seemed pretty odd considering it was 9:20 pm and they didn't close for almost an hour. My wife with very few options asked if the fries were gluten free and was advised that they "definitely were not gluten free." It turns out they actually are, but it was obvious they were more preoccupied with closing the store rather than taking care of their customers. With my wife being out of food options we decided to spend our money else where. And when we left I could hear the cashier making a snide remark about us not eating there. It's not because we didn't want to. It's because we actually were not able to and the employee did not attempt to help us with the menu in finding suitable options. Very disappointed with this store. I remember when Zaxby's was starting up here in Jacksonville, they were okay, but now they are awesome. The menu items are great, also the quality. From the chicken, salads, fried mushrooms and white cheddar cheese curds. They brew their tea fresh and at a good price. The Zenzation salad it's the best I have had at a fast food restaurant. They have one of those coke machines with hundreds of flavored, well tonight they were lucky if there were 10. The machine was empty. No diet soda available. The were were no napkins available, and the ice machine was empty. I told the guy at the counter about the napkins and, well, 20 minutes later, there are still no napkins... I can't believe that I just sat in line for 23 mins to get to the window and the drive through lady with her manager tell me that they just closed and didn't even want to make my order. Then after I got upset and ask for a number to call corporate I was offered for them to make my food but it would be about 10 more mins. Sadly, I wasn't the only one who experienced this cause there was cars wrapped around the building. Guess their money comes too easy for them cause I'm still a big believer in customer service which they definitely lacked when turning away several customers that waited all that time. Worst food and service ever, Stopped here from out of town because I love zaxbys and ours is always great. Rudest customer service ever, I ordered and asked for my chicken to be dipped in hot mustard. I pull off and it wasn't dipped so I pull over and park after waiting in line for twenty minutes and I go in and stand behind three people i finally get to the front and i ask just for a cup of sauce because my chicken was not dipped like it was suppose to, The lady then tells me I need to walk back to my car and get my ticket to show her that's what I got. So I walk out to the car, walk all the way back in to bring her my ticket and there is a line of seven people. She then tells me I need to go to the back of the line. Both mine and my boyfriend chicken was burnt I should have honestly gave it all back and said I wanted a refund but didn't feel like dealing with what looked to be the manger. Will never return. I do love me some zaxbys. This the only zaxbys that I have been to so there's not much for me to compare it to. I go to zaxbys about 2-3 times per month. They are nice enough and my order is usually correct. There are alot of high school kids working here so don't expect to get great customer service but they are pleasant enough. My main complaint is when I order to go my food always seems to look all shook up in the box. Not sure, but I'm assuming they throw it together to get it out faster. read more

Great place, great food! Was passing through here during the afternoon rush. The girl taking my order in the drive thru was very helpful and patient with the menu since I had never been there before and had a few questions. Would love to know her name because she needs a raise! The food was hot and fresh I was very impressed with how good it was for fast food. I got the House Zalad and also ordered a Wings&Things for my husband. The salad was so good and everything tasted as if it were fresh from a garden! I don't remember what kind of flavor was on the wings my husband got but he loved it. Said it was the best wings he'd had in a while. They have amazing sweet tea as well! Usually it's a hit a or miss at different restaurants as far as sweet tea goes but they were right on. Not too syrupy at all and tasted as if it were freshly brewed. I tried a chicken finger with the zaxby sauce and it was so good! Apparently Zaxby's charges you a quarter for extra sauce but now I know why, seems they put a lot of thought and effort into the taste of their sauces, my husband and I had no complaints!
