I'm really starting to think some quick-serve restaurants just don't pay attention to orders. My boss offered to grab me lunch while heading to a meeting, so I ordered chicken tenders with tater tots, cheese on the tots, and blue cheese for dipping. Unfortunately, there was no cheese on the tots and no dipping cheese at all. The tenders were hard, barely had any garlic parm sauce, and there was no blue cheese dressing included. I ended up only eating 2 out of the 4 tenders. It's really disappointing to get only half a meal -- especially when it's not made the way you ordered it. read more

A group of us meet every few months for lunch to chitchat and talk old times. We all used to work together before we retired. As always Mr Chubby's did a great job taking care of us today! I called last week and spoke to one of the managers and told them we will be coming for lunch on Thursday the following week. They said no problem!!! Our waitress did a great job taking care of us! I hadn't been here in a few years so thought I'd give them a try. Large parking lot but gets busy. We were waited on immediately by Matti. She was great and kept an eye on our needs. They get busy around lunch from all the workers in the area. They have plenty of tables so you won't be waiting to get a seat. The taste of the wings were excellent. The wings are decent size too. My only complaint was my wings were slightly overcooked. All and all they were still good and I would eat there again. read more

This is sports bar from top to bottom. Lots of TV's, a full bar and games for everyone. The service was good and they checked on us often. I got the chicken sandwich which came with a side of fries. My wife and i tried this place one night before church, my wife ordered the garlic Parmesan boneless wings, which were good, we both really enjoyed them. I had a club sandwich that was probably the worst one I have ever had and would definitely not order that again. we would both go back for the wings to try a few other flavors. Normally, good food and friendly staff. Tonight there were two different people with their dogs in the restaurant.. One of them had the dog at the bar (not on th floor but at bar height) and the manager and some of the staff were petting and kissing the dog, then handling our food.. waited an hour and half for a cold cheeseburger (that did NOT come with the toppings we asked for) & bland boneless wings. we order Maple Cajun boneless wings and they were tossed in a very liquidy sauce with some "cajun" seasoning sprinkled on top. the sweet tea was like sugar water and we could see through it. sugar water is great for some but not for us, personally. overall, i do not think we will be returning. read more

We went on a Saturday evening. We had a group of 8. Our server, Katelynn, was great. She was quick and efficient. The ticketing system had a problem and our order was delayed. Decided to take a break after being out in the heat for so long today and get some wings. Why? I stinkin' LOVE me some wings! And if the word "wings" is built into your restaurant's name, you better be on top of your wing game... We were waited on almost immediately, which is rare for a place as big as this. There's people here, but I guess it's not a fav stop for people on a hot and now rainy Sunday early evening. Their loss is now our gain since you know the kitchen won't be swamped. We ordered chili cheese and bacon topped tots to dig into before our main courses come out. Hot, crispy and delicious. Can't really mess up tater tots lol My husband ordered the steak wrap with fries, while I of course ordered wings. I got 10 Chubby's style which is covered with their seasoning and grilled. I also ordered another 10 wings in my fav sauce they have, Tangy Gold. I even got one more 10 pcs to try their Johnny's style, which a sticky Asian. I can't wait to dig in now! Tried the Chubby's style....they were really good. Then onto the Tangy Gold as I'm watching my husband DEVOUR his steak wrap...I was wondering if he was going to come up for air! Yes...Tangy Gold is by far MY favorite sauce still! I tried the Johnny's style, which is a sticky Asian style...and it literally lit me on FIRE! I had requested MILD on all wings because it's a long drive home and I don't need to suffer the entire way! Omg...I couldn't put out the fire on my lips, which were burning with a 5 alarm fire that took 3 ice cubes held to my lips to finally quench. When our waitress, Kaitlin, came back to check on us, we asked her if they were supposed to be really really spicy like that and she said she found out that apparently it depends on who is working in the kitchen at the time. It seems it's a blend of teriyaki sauce, hot sauce and jerk sauce. Well my good lord...whoever was working must not have wondered if the other two wing orders were for MILD, should they have perhaps taken that into consideration and put only a drop or two in there. I convinced my husband before our waitress came over to try one and his face went bright red and this is the man that had jalapeños in his steak wrap! He was shocked I actually ate the entire wing. Do you want to know how wonderful this place is? Without any qualms at all, they took those inedible wings off our ticket! That's something that's so seldom done these days and shows not only good judgement on the part of mgmt, but to even take that problem up to her boss, it shows a good waitress. I can't say it was the best meal I ever had, but those tangy gold wings will be something I'll be craving until next time I can get back up here! I thought about dropping a star for the wings we couldn't and didn't eat, but since the problem was so immediately rectified, why do that to a business and crew that are obviously working their butts off to make sure the food is fresh and delicious? First of all, I have been coming here for years but I have never left a review. Shame on me. This is truly one of the best places on the westside of Jacksonville. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is always pleasant. But most importantly, the staff is what makes the place so special. Many of them have been here for a long time and that is the sign of a very healthy business. I can get food and adult beverages anywhere but the staff is what draws me back. There are many to mention but today I would like to point out Cayde. She is always so pleasant and a joy to deal with. She truly makes you feel appreciated and the service is second to none. Even if you have to drive a little further than usual, you will be glad that you chose to make the trip. read more

Shame on the manager on duty the night of May 23. My wife and I ordered at 9:50 and were told by the very wonderful lady at the front it would take about 10-15 minutes. An hour and some change later, I as well as about 8 people were still waiting for our meals. Others who were coming to pickup their meals complained about waiting too. It was a lot of people waiting outside for pickup that I thought were waiting for a table. It was horrible and to make things worst, the food was cold and below average. The manager had to know the kitchen was way behind and should not continue to take orders with such a backlog. I don't take writing one star ratings lightly but this was one of the worst services I've ever had. I get things happened but to continue to allow it to get worst by not being honest and allowing customers to decide if they wanted to wait lacks INTEGRITY. read more

This is the only place the Hotel recommended. I was pretty skeptical from the outside but after seeing others food come out it looked pretty good. We had wraps they were good. Sweet potato fries unfortunately lost flavor due to being fried with everything else. All in all a good bar food place. Server was great! Smokers out front not cool. read more

Went in before rush hour for dinner took them like 10 minutes just to notice us. Waitress took the order so far so good. Brought out one of the 2 kids food and my food. Waited like 10 more minutes and they brought the wife's food out. We still were waiting on my 5 year olds food and had to remind her what we had ordered. 20 minutes past and finally the five year old received her food. If we ordered together we would like to eat together. Food is sub par and would give 5 stars to McDonald's before I give this establishment any other.
