The clerk whispered that they had chicken, but they just failed to cook enough for the night and would likely have more in an hour. Something this manager could have said. The fact that they leaned over the counter and whispered and how they said it made clear they were in a hostile work environment with a poor manager. That information should have been told to the staff, not yelled to the whole restaurant without completing the information with "Hey, we're sorry, but we are running low and won't have more chicken ready for an hour," Or "Sorry, we screwed up and did not make enough chicken, but here's a coupon for making you wait in line instead of closing" Or close the store if you're out of food and not waste the customer's time. How you deliver bad news and how it's received is a matter of how you state things. A little humility, looking us in the eyes, waiting for a second to again show some empathy, or communicating with the customer-facing staff first isn't all that hard. There was no effort made to steer us to the chicken in the bins, which apparently was being held back for the drive-thru despite displaying it out front. What kind of Chicken joint runs out of chicken at the dinner hour? If this was the first week of operations, I could understand, but it's not. We don't even know if we would like Bojangles, as this was our first and probably only experience with this chain. Terrible customer service, terrible planning, terrible management. Why would we come back?

The customer service that I experienced was friendly and courteous. Upon trying my food, I found that it was tasty and freshly prepared for the most part. It was also warm. 2 out of 3 of my chicken pieces came out this way but I did have 1 piece that was dry and not fresh. My dirty rice was yummy and flavorful and so were my green beans! My sweet tea was also good and had light ice in as instructed. Overall, I had a good impression of this location.

And I'm disappointed for it each time I let myself eat at a Taco Bell and remember I'm going to be over charged for bad food, they will almost assuredly get my order wrong (and they did this time too) and I'll over pay for it too. I honestly wish we had Baja Fresh, Del Taco, Taco John's or a Jack in the Box all of whom have better food and still generally at a better price too. If you order online you can at least ask for some preferences, not that they do it, but you can ask. They did bring back the green sauce, only now they charge for each little packet.

The old location was fine, but the new location definitely gives a more modern vibe to Hwy 55. Same old burgers and tots that we enjoy. We recently returned from a road trip and were hungry for burgers. Ordered online and picked up our order 15 minutes later. Three burgers, two fries, and tots all hit the spot. They offer a wide variety of choices. Pizza, pasta, Stromboli, fried pickles, wings, to name a few. We ordered three slices and spaghetti. After a short wait our food was delivered. We did have to wait a little longer for the spaghetti, but not a big deal. My two slices were large and looked good. I had the supreme and meat trio. Wife had a cheese pizza slice. After a few bites my wife's spaghetti was delivered. If she knew garlic knots came with the pasta she would've skipped the slice. I enjoyed my slices and she said the spaghetti was good. There is ample seating and plenty of parking in front of the building. Overall we have always liked our experience here and will continue to dine here on occasion. If you're in Richlands and have never tried eating here, I recommend giving it a try.
