Never ate here, as when I've tried in the past they were either closed or when open very rude, cocky attitude. Pushed me away immediately. The location and way you order at window is off. Vibe is off and apparently the food isn't that good either... Pizza King looks like they sell a ton of slices to locals and tourists. They have a window that is convenient to grab a slice or two, eat and then go to the amusement park across the street. They are also conveniently by our Vrbo so we headed there tonight for an easy dinner. Walking up, we saw quite a few pies at the window. They also had pinwheels as well. So many options to pick from. Everything looked OK. The pizzas looked like they were made a while ago. You can tell when a pizza is hot, the grease is glistening still. Non of these pizzas were doing that. My husband and I snagged 2 slices of cheese. Both of the slices were two different sizes, very big difference between the two. I gave my husband the bigger slice. I honestly thought they would have heated up the pizza a little more. They were still cold. The cheese was not even melted or warm. You shouldn't have bothered heating them up cause it didn't do anything for them. The pizza sauce had good flavor to it. There wasn't a lot of it. The cheese itself was there but missing on some parts of the slice. The crust was hard and very chewy since it wasn't warm. I was really hoping for a melty, cheesey, hot slice of pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't get that. I had high hopes for this joint since they always seem so busy. Maybe it was at the hour we came but the pizza just didn't hit. We are giving this a 5 and honestly if they had table service in the bar, this would have been a 5 all day long-so a true 4.8! To be fair, after I ordered at the window, they did bring our food to our table inside the bar. You do have to go to the bar to grab your drinks. Fun selection of beers, mozzarella sticks were AMAZING. Obviously homemade-not frozen. Wings were crispy and sauce was excellent. So Good!!!! Pizza was good as well. Owner was there working and was friendly. He changed a keg, took out the trash and was pulling in tables at closing time. Definitely not a slacker. read more

5 orders of Chicken Fingers to go & only received 3. No napkins or the Ranch i asked for. Then yesterday My Daughters walked there and ordered 4 garlic knots. They received only 2. My daughters walked back and asked for the rest of the orders. The rude woman said it "is what it is" and then slammed the sliding window and walked away. Months ago we all walked there and got slices of pizza. Everything was fine until i asked for napkins. The same girl gave me an attitude. She grabbed the napkins aggressively. Two words: garlic knots. These are easily some of the best garlic knots I've ever had. They're huge, perfectly baked (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside), and completely smothered in garlic butter. The staff were extremely rude and the food was terrible. I have a mixed race family and I have never had an experience before that we were being treated differently until we went here. Firstly, they were rude and seemed annoyed when we were ordering our food. Next, when our order was done they placed it on the counter and yelled out to us. I ordered pizza and wings from Pizza King on a busy Sunday night in the Beach. Called ahead to order a small pizza and was told "we don' t have small, just medium and large" so I got the medium with two toppings. I also got an order of char-broiled wings. I was a little surprised when I picked up my order to find my total was just short of $20! Took everything home only to discover that there was no blue cheese and no celery for the wings. Not sure if this was an oversight or if these are extras but for the cost, I would have thought at least one blue cheese would be included. I'm pizza-picky. So while vacationing with the in laws up in Sylvan Beach my wife and I got hungry for some lunch and ditched the beach for Pizza King. Good call. The pizza was good and I found the prices to be pretty good. We had a pepperoni slice and a buffalo chicken slice. Don't be put off by the appearance of the buffalo chicken slice. It LOOKS like chewed up chicken slapped on the pizza. But it tasted awesome (and it was NOT chewed up chicken :P No worries). Had I had the time I would like to've gone back to try the stromboli and a canolli. Both looked very, very tasty. It's also worth noting that Pizza King delivers. I don't know how far away they deliver, but that's a plus if you're renting a place and don't want to drive or try to park down there (which can be a challenge if it's packed, if it's bike night, etc). read more

Visiting friends and we ordered pizza and wings for pick up. Pleasantly surprised how good it was for a beach town pizza joint. Plain cheese (for the kids) and BBQ chicken pizzas were both good. Wings were above average for the area. I'll eat here again without question. read more

First time in Sylvan Beach and ordered a large regular crust, which was thin & crispy. Pizza was delicious! Toppings were a little sparse. Next time we'll order double pepperoni. We'd also like to try the garlic crust and/or garlic knots. They were out, so they must be rather popular! Price was average for a touristy area. We decided to try this place because in the winter, renting here doesn't really give much options as everything is closed. So we ordered a XL pepperoni pizza and 20 honey BBQ charbroiled wings. The pizza was good, not like Sami's pizza in Bridgeport, NY but not little Cesar's either. BUT the wings were killer awesome! The sauce was not thick, nice sweet thinner sauce. Bland almost flavorless pizza when trying cheese slices - the true test of a pizzeria. "Heated" up the slices, and they were barely warm. $6.53 for 2 plain cheese slices - seriously - in Sylvan Beach N.Y.... Employee even took the shakers of cheese and red pepper flakes off the counter while customers were standing there so they could not be used, and barely acknowledged patrons.
