La Roma's completely saved me the other day. I had ordered catering for a business meeting from a different restaurant, and they cancelled the order 30 minutes prior to the meeting. I called La Roma's frantic, and they immediately went to work & got us 10 pizzas & a salad in under 30 minutes for me to pick up. We're gotten catering from them several times in the past, and they are our tried & tru, they reassured me they'd never cancel my order right before an important meeting. Amazing Food though we have only had Pizza and wings. This was our third visit and am looking forward to trying something different. Wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The wings are cooked to perfection and La Roma's offers a number of specialty pizzas. They are willing to do two different half pizzas which gave us a chance to try several different pizzas. Be sure to ask server what the specials are as they always have a number of specials. Located around the corner which is convenient. Not bad at all, being from New York City, and considering I have eaten the best of the best all my life in terms of pizza and all types of culinary and cuisine. I can say that la Roma generally puts out a very consistently tasty product. This three star review is an overall rating and I feel it's extremely fair. If you want a nice pie (I usually get the medium with anchovies) they are good or just for a slice as well though. Satisfying and as I've said generally consistent, which is key! And most importantly. They stand out from other 50 pizza places without a doubt. Give them a try. We finally made it up to New York and I wanted to get an authentic New York style pizza somewhere. After checking into our bed and breakfast we did a quick Yelp! search and found Laroma's Pizza. We confirmed with our host that this was indeed a great place to get some pizza and so we headed on down to order a big pepperoni and cheese. Arriving at the restaurant I was impressed with how clean it looks. It looked to be a true moms and pops place and we were greeted appropriately at the door by our server Denise. The dining room area is not big but large enough and nice enough that if you want to dine in you can. On the way out a nice little old lady with a thick New York accent was telling us about how she loved the place and she treated her sons to it. My wife spoke to her and we thought, well this bodes well! We got a couple of waters and Denise chatted us up about our vacation. She seemed very nice and was happy to talk about the pizza with us out of towners. Our order was placed within a few minutes and after some chit chat with Denise we were able to relax and take in our surroundings. The place was pretty cool, a real nice little restaurant. First up was our breaded ravioli which came out fairly fast. They were excellent and did not taste frozen, but made fresh. I also was greatly impressed with the marinara sauce they gave us to dip them in. Yum! Would definitely buy again if we are in the area. So far so good!! After about 20 minutes our pie came out and boy did it look amazing. I had hoped it would taste half as good as it looked and it didn't disappoint. It was very hot and the cheese was nice and gooey. Definitely had the perfect New York style crust with it being soft on the interior and just a little bit of a crunch on the exterior. One friend of mine said it looked like it had too much crust but I didn't think so and the crust was delicious so... The sauce was really nice, a hint of sweetness but not overpowering. All in all this place rocks, I ate until I was just plum stuffed and so did the wife. We nearly took down the entire large pizza save a couple of pieces! Decided to try the Tuscan White Bean soup while waiting for a Chicken Parm Sub sandwich. Very tasty with a thick consistency that included sausage and greens, perhaps spinach with two pieces of buttered garlic bread. The Chicken Parm Sub was delicious, served on a wide bread loaf with some Italian seasonings on top. A sufficient amount of cheese with nice Marinara sauce. read more

I bought 3 and 1/2 pounds of BBQ chicken wings, 3 and 1/2 pounds of spicy chicken wings and salad. The spicy chicken wings was not hot or spicy at all. My husband who doesn't like spicy even said its not hot or spicy at all. The worst is their BBQ chicken wings taste has change and the way they cook it is change now. Few years ago their chicken wings bath with the BBQ sauce. But now they just pour a very little of BBQ sauce on the top of the chicken wings. I complained about it and the manager admitted that they change the way they cook their BBQ chicken wings and she also rude said "oh you should've asked for extra BBQ sauce". I said I don't know about it and she rudely answered again "the staff asked you so you should know". Then I said "the staff didn't ask me at all if I want extra BBQ sauce or not". The manager offered me to come back and will give BBQ sauce. I didn't want to drive far away just to get their BBQ sauce. I didn't need any money back. We ordered the lasagna. The portion was a good size but it did not have enough ricotta in between the layers. The sauce and mozzarella were good. The bread before the meal was warm and fresh. The salad was plain and very small with a chopped cherry tomato and some onions. Service was good. A little pricey for a serving of lasagna and a little salad. We ordered cannoli to take home. The ricotta filling was different from last time. Last time was more authentic and tasty. This time was like a sugary confectionery cream :-( Don't know what happened to their recipe! My son said when we are in Rome, we must eat pizza so we did. Found this place on yelp. Restaurant layout is a bit strange. You will understand once you eat there. The pizza was okay. Wasn't a big fan of the cheese. The waitress asked if we wanted American Cheese on our pizza??? WTH eats that? Service not that great. Restaurant was filthy and old. There are several stains on the ceiling. The area where the waitress had to get the drinks has no light so it is completely dark for her. I offered her a flashlight. I would suggest getting the pizza to go if you do eat here. Wasn't happy when I received the bill and on the bill it suggested I tip an insane amount of money for not that great of service.
