Stopped in here for a mid week lunch and we enjoyed everything about the restaurant/bar. It is very clean in a new building and they provided great service with tasty food and good cocktails/beers. We will definitely be back and enjoyed everything we had. They have outdoor seating on the patio that is right on the Main Street but there is also a splash pad for kids at the park right next to it. They also offer Gluten free (cauliflower crust) pizzas if that is of interest to you. The pork tenderloins were good as were the pizzas. The wings and tot balls were both delicious as well.

Good little place to eat. Not crowded on a Sunday after church. Good food for a reasonable price.

Solid food at reasonable prices. A nice addition to the little downtown area. The breaded pork tenderloin is great!

That right there told me they don't mind being different in the style of food they serve! After checking over the menu full of wraps and burgers amongst a plethora of other bar food I ended up getting some wings to try and the house made chips. I got half my wings in the BBQ flavor and the other Buffalo. Being honest the wings weren't anything special but they did hit the spot and the BBQ sauce wasn't anything special to me on the wings but if it was used in some pulled pork or ribs I believe I would enjoy it more. The buffalo sauce was really good and had just enough heat to need the ranch here and there. The house made chips were good, not overly seasoned and not over cooked either. The place is small but has a handful of high top round tables and a few bigger square tables in the front with a decent bar strip with plenty of bottles and beers on tap. The pool table in the side room looked like a great area to hang around and play some pool while enjoying some beers with the company of friends. Next time I'm in town I will try one of their countless burger options!

Great family friendly place in downtown Fishers…read more Lots of parking nearby and easy to walk to from the main Fishers area. There's plenty of seating and we've never had to wait. Service is always great. They have a couple staple beers that are refreshing but they have other options too for non beer drinkers. Food is actually really good. Flatbreads, wings, sandwich's - I'd recommend it all. Meet friend, date night, family over together, or grab dinner before downtown fishers or event center thing - great place for it!

I'm huge on seeing photos before I order (hence me being a YELPer) so I loved the photos on the website. The hostess and our server were friendly. It took a big before the server came over, but the hostess did warn us that he did just have another table seated before us. The beer drinkers in our party enjoyed their beers. We started out with two apps... cheese curds and pretzel bites. When they came to the table, neither looked like they do on the website. On the website the pretzels looked a bit better than something you'd get in a mall, and they stated they came with cheese and mustard. In real time they only had cheese. The cheese curds also looked completely different and were smaller portions than shown online. For our meals we had a burger, a chicken sandwich, and I had the southwest salad. There seemed to be a little miscommunication with our waiter about the dressing for my salad, and that resulted in my salad missing some ingredients but he resolved it. But also of note, the menu listed a "avocado lime vinagrette" and the salad came with a guac that just looked like it was maybe left in the blender a second longer than it should have been. The burger was huge. We all agreed the food was "good" but we wouldn't add it to our list of must haves next time we are in town. The disappointment more came from things that hyped us up on the menu online and in store and then weren't actually the same. :(

Thankfully it was not very busy on a Wednesday at lunchtime, so the food came out much more quickly than expected. I ordered the banh mi wrap with shrimp and it was delightful. Just the right amount of heat in the sauce. But the real star was the Brussells sprouts. Jammy and delicious with a hint of bacon. Best sprouts Iʻve eaten in a while. Seating area is very open. It might get a little loud when itʻs packed, but that was not a problem for us at lunch.

The Hoppy Gnome (downtown Fort Wayne, southeast side of courthouse) - new food menu, you decide!…read more The old food offerings were the reason I came here and the reason I preferred not to come back. I loved the Cuban flavors, unique food items and the variety of tacos. Everyone loves tacos and The Hoppy Gnome did (still does, only 4 versions now) them well. However...after about a half dozen visits...I got bored with the same offerings. On line posters and most frequent customers (according to the manager) tend to favor the old menu. I, personally, found the change very refreshing and delicious! I will be back as there are lots of new things to try! The Hoppy Gnome is located downtown on the southeast side of the court house. You can park in the Citizens Center parking lot for free after 5pm. It is safe and right across the street from The Gnome. Making a reservation is easy on Open Table. I would suggest you do that versus walking in. The inside is still appealing with the bright and colorful industrial decor. They have a large private seating area for parties. They also have a street side outdoor patio. We sat outside on this summer evening. The area is spacious with solid high table furniture. People watching is fun but the traffic can be really loud at times. The new menu has a much broader appeal and less emphasis on Cuban only items. You will find lots of appetizer choices. Salads, burgers, flatbreads, pasta, seafood and chicken dishes are available. There are a decent number of specialty entrees and four varieties of tacos. All items pretty reasonably priced. Here is a run down on the food we ordered: -Chicken Flatbread: the crust was a little thicker than a normal thin crust and very soft; the manager said they really researched out this crust to fit their style; lots of delicious grilled chicken and toppings; very tasty! -Miso Honey Wings: 8 medium sized wings that are grilled and dipped; slightly crunchy skins; all white color on the inside but perhaps a little over cooked as the wing meat was tough and a bit dry; very unique sauce - very thick, sticky and rich in consistency; mild amount of sweetness and teriyaki flavors. The manager says about 70% of the people that order wings get the Miso Honey sauce. This dish was very good also! -Side salad: nice sized side salad; very fresh and attractive; no iceberg lettuce here - real greens; nice garnishment of carrots, cucumbers and roasted red peppers The team here was very friendly and professional - per normal. They hustled to serve. We particularly enjoyed sharing our experience with the manager and getting insight on the changes. Give the new menu a try for yourself!!

I go here every chance I get, and usually forget to take photos of the delicious food!…read more I am so glad i took the advice of the earlier reviews to entice me to try it out the first time (now years ago). This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!

ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITES FOR AMERICAN FOOD NEAR MASS AVE…read more Union 50 came in clutch when my friends and I were looking for a last minute dinner reservation. Called at 6 and got a reservation for 8, for 5 of us on a Saturday night. This is kind of an anomaly for any restaurants off Mass Ave. We were seated right away and started with drinks and apps. We got "Disco Boys" and "I'm too pretty for this" cocktails which were tasty - kudos for the fun cocktail names. Calamari, Artisan, and Charcuterie came shortly after. There's a few different options of cheeses and meats, it's sort of a choose your own adventure situation. All were good, especially the calamari. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook it and the calamari gets rubbery, not the case here. Our entrees came out next and I made sure to try a bite of everyone's LOL. The standout of all the entrees was definitely the "Duck, duck" which was, obviously, duck. The runner up would definitely have to be the chicken cacciatore. Overall, really great ambiance, food, and service. I would highly recommend Union 50 if you're looking for something fancy, but not too fancy. We finished off with the house made chocolates, which was just the right amount of sweetness to end a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!
