Worst pizza ever! The stuff that looks like red caviar is greazy pepperoni crumbles- disgusting!
    Thomas T.

Small Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza, Coke : $12.24- What a mistake! I have driven past this place 500 times, I wish I had made it 501. I grew up near this area and have never tried Pizza King before. I hoped this might be a retro-charming mom and pop pizza joint. It's not. The "decor" is "vintage dive" with an oil and water mix of flea market quality Notre Dame & NASCAR "memorabilia". The most pathetic symbolism is the "Pizza King" logo that I'm sure was hoped to grace a national chain of these restaurants. I ordered about 6 PM - Ten minutes later I heard the "cook" ask a clarifying question about my order. This place is small and I was only about 15 feet from the open kitchen area. I started seeing other customers pizzas coming out of the kitchen and got a sinking feeling in my gut. They looked like those hideously cheap "Totino's Party PIzzas" you get at the store for $1.00 a piece on sale. Their menu specifies that "Pizza King" serves only thin crust pizza. I am QUITE sure this is not because of fidelity to an old family recipe or a matter of taste- but because the crust is cheap, cheap, cheap! These 3 words tell you everything about their "pizza" (I put in quotes because this BARELY qualifies as pizza!). 35 minutes after I ordered, this is what was served to me. It's supposed to be pepperoni and mushrooms- the so called "pepperoni" is actually "pepperoni crumbles", like "Bacon Bits". The problem is this pizza cost $10.50 , and the awful "Totino's Party PIzzas" are only $1.00. This mess was just about terrible- the sauce was sickly sweet, the "pepperoni crumbles" were just as awful as they look- and incredibly greazey. I asked the "cook" about their crust. She told me the crust comes pre-made and portioned out and they roll it out and make the pizzas. This is the WORST tasting "pizza" I can remember having. This is nothing more than rank profiteering by using the absolute cheapest, most low-grade ingredients that can still pass as "suitable for human consumption". The pizza at my high school was quite a bit BETTER than this! The only reason I can guess for their continued operation is they sell beer and alcohol. I really can't imagine ANYBODY eating here twice!

Great ole school pizza, why change a classic? The crust is crispy and many flavorful toppings to choose and great customer service and look for coupons online.

A family favorite for many years! Ham onion pepperoni is the best - and the greatest chef salad around.

I have not yet had the pleasure of trying anything off of Fatbird's normal menu. I'll try to keep this review quick since it is pretty specific but long story short, we loved the unique and well made food and the service and vibes were great! So while Fatbird is known for their chicken sandwiches, my bf and I ordered the $40 lunch for two from this special 2026 menu, which was heavily indigenous Latin American-inspired in the ingredients. For the starter, we shared 8 sweet plantains slices which were yummy but we wish we had more. Then for our main, we split one grilled jerk chicken sandwich with VERY unique ingredients like a pickled green tomato as well as two creative tacos with tender shredded pork and more pickled veg. The tacos were spicy as heck and definitely not for the faint of heart! Lastly, we split a small bowl of arrow con leche brule, which helped bring the heat down from the tacos. While we didn't leave full, we had fun trying a curated and very unique set of dishes with interesting flavors, textures, and spices. The other 4 people we ate lunch with ordered a variety of stuff from the normal menu, some of which are in my attached pictures. My bf also ordered himself a pineapple tepache to sip on, which was $8, and I got myself a diet coke with lemon ($3). Our waitress was on top of her game and was very friendly. The interior is cute and spacious and the bathroom is cute and clean. I love a clean bathroom! Their normal menu has 8000 things I want to try next time! As for this special menu lunch, we paid, after tax, tip, and a credit card surcharge, a total of $67. A bit high for lunch, but good vibes all around!

I waltzed in on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty dead, but I was greeted and my food came out quickly. The maque choux was to die for. The banh mi chicken was less exciting, but still good enough to entice me to try it again. Wish I was able to order a cocktail on that trip, as the menu looked intriguing.

We started with drinks and my friends and husband were down right giddy to learn you could order a 40 ounce Bud Light bottle. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer. It came with two different marinara sauces, plain and with sausage. They were delightful. We ordered two pizzas: one with sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom; the other had green olives, onion and green pepper. The sauce was not acidy, none of us got heartburn as we sometimes do depending on the sauce. The sauce had a sweet taste. The owners were great and kind, talked with customers including us. It's a great place to stop if you want great pizza and a great atmosphere. They even have a jukebox!

It seems to be a staple within the community, so I suggest you support. Super friendly and welcoming staff. They are known for their pizza, so we gave it a try. I really wanted to like the pizza, but to me the sauce lacked flavor. Maybe salt, herbs, garlic, onion something may have made it taste somewhat better. I added Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and a sprinkle of salt so that the pizza wouldn't go to waste. I didn't want to send it back, so I figured I could spice it up on my own. Overall it was a great experience and atmosphere. I would be willing to give it another try and choose another crowd favorite. The menu had quite a few options, so no need to limit yourself. If only I had room for dessert. I did take my pizza to go and became a late night munch at the hotel.
