My boyfriend ordered a pizza late night on Christmas Eve, I was so grateful they were open. We carried out and the pizza was piping hot even after we got home. The crust is almost like a cracker, nice and thin and crispy. It was very cheesy which I also enjoyed. Circular pizza pie with square cut slices. The only thing I didn't love was their pizza sauce. Younger girl at the register who took our order wasn't friendly at all. Not rude, just didn't give a sh*t. Thin pizza, not to crispy, still has a little chew to the dough. Good sauce, slightly tangy, good amount of cheese. For a basic pizza, it was actually quite good bit reminded my wife of a frozen pizza. How could she say that? We ordered Luigi's carry out while in town for a baseball tournament. We may have lost at baseball, but we definitely won in choosing this place. The crust is thin.. but not cardboard thin. It was still fluffy, somehow. We ordered a sausage pizza for the big boys and then a half cheese half bacon and green olive for me and the little boys. We also ordered breadsticks. The breadsticks weren't my favorite, but I won't discount them a star rating. The pizza was so good it had me still talking about it on the drive home. read more

Disappointed with their pizzas last couple years. Little cheese, unusually few toppings. We almost always order sausage and mushroom. Practically no mushrooms. Maybe only nine sausage pieces on the whole 16". Was always one of our favorites. Me sad . . . Anybody know what is going on?? read more

Great take out place! Got the pizza with meatballs and onion! They make their own meatballs and the pizza crust is thinner than a cracker with an airy crunch crust! The sauce is mellow and thick and the pizza comes on a catbird disk in a paper bag!:) also got the chicken bacon ranch grinder and it was superb! Just ask them to add some marinara to it! Was staying in a hotel in Mishawaka and decided to grab some pizza and bring it back to eat there. After doing some careful research we settle up on Luigi's. We had called another place but they were closed. It was an hour and 30 minutes for delivery or 30 minutes for pick up so we decided to go get it ourselves as it was only a few miles away. We settled on a 14 inch sausage and an order of garlic cheese bread and like always a few cups of cheese. The pick up time of 30 minutes was on the money which is always nice when you're out of town staying in a hotel and super hungry. The pizza was very basic. Something about the crust was just not right. Almost like a cracker crust. The garlic cheese bread could have been ran through the oven just a little longer as you can see the cheese is barely melted and the bread was a little on the soggy side. If it was the only pizza place around I would eat it but we will definitely try another Pizzeria next time in the area. read more

Luigi's has been around forever and we love pizza so I'm surprised it took us so long to check it out. We ordered a large 14" pizza for carry out on a Saturday night. Definitely plan ahead when ordering - our wait time was an hour and 15 minutes! The quoted time was right on as they were pulling the pizza out of the oven when my husband arrived. The pizza is served in squares and has a thin, crackery crust. Ours actually could have used a little more cooking time as the crust towards the center was a little doughy. It was obvious everything was fresh - great sauce, cheese and sausage. Definitely a new addition to our carry out list! read more

I've heard of Luigis but not had there pizza there a distance from my home. The lady was very patience with me on the phone and her friendliness talked me into placing an order. My sister from Chicago recently moved into Mishawaka and wanted a pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza from Luigis knowing nothing about it. She said she wanted thin crust but not until after I ordered. I told her she'll get what they have, and it was fantastic. Thin crust tavern style, fresh consistent sauce and cheese. Just the right crisp and the cheese went right to the edges. This was a major disappointment. So many friends had told me it was great pizza, but after trying a 16" pepperoni and sausage with a side order of bread sticks we will not be going back. First let me start with the bread sticks. They are the kind you buy at the grocery that come in a bag. Then they pour a garlic parm butter sauce over them and pop them in a box with pizza sauce. They are dry and just uninspired. The pizza while it has great potential is just over sauced. Which makes the superbness of the thin crust fall apart. I love some thin crust, but if it can't handle the amount of sauce and toppings then it becomes hard to eat and less enjoyable. As far as the toppings I noticed they were using fresh sausage, but it got lost with the saltiness of the pepperoni which was overloaded. Overall it has great potential for a good thin crust pizza if they weren't so heavy handed with the sauce and used a better quality of pepperoni. If I were to order again I might ask for light sauce that might help.....but that is a big big if. read more
