Don't let the name fool you. This is a BBQ joint plus. We were staying overnight at a hotel down the road and I looked up the menu. My husband was just going to drive down there and order what I wanted and get a gyro for himself. Apparently when he walked in and saw/smelled the ribs he changed his mind. He loves gyros but he loves ribs more. They packaged up our takeout very nicely. Our meats were piping hot when they got back to the hotel. My husband hasn't eaten ribs much lately but he use to eat them wherever they were on a menu. He said by his standards they were very good. The meal came With some standard fries, Cole slaw and garlic bread. I had the tips and 1/4 chicken. We both love the BBQ sauce they use. Reminds me of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. We each could only eat 1/2 of our meal and we were on our last night on the road. When we got home we heated the ribs, chicken, fries and garlic toast up in the oven and everything was delicious once again and it helped to crisp the fries up. We were sad/happy they didn't have a restaurant in our hometown because we would be eating there too often. I've worked here about 9 months in the area and just now tried T Allens. Delicious and fresh! I'm pretty sure they serve Vienna beef hotdogs because it sure tastes like it. I'm happy about this because Portillos recently changed their hotdogs and they're terrible. The other day I had a cheese dog and fries which makes me nostaligc because that's what I always ordered when I was a kid prior to going to see a Saturday matinee with my family. My only suggestion is that they consider offering steamed poppyseed buns. Today I had their lemon rice soup which was perfect and I had been craving this for a while. They have everything you could possibly want for lunch or dinner, Italian beef, ribs, chicken, entree salads, two different kinds of soup, gyros, hot dogs. Something for everyone. It felt a bit pricey as my bowl of soup was $9 but I don't mind paying for quality. They're super fast especially if you order online. I have a feeling I'll be here on many more payday fridays. We both ordered the Jr. Gyros combo, and it was delicious and more than enough food. The service was very efficient and fast. We had never seen a Junior Gyros before and wish all places had them. Gyro was not flavorful. There is not enough garlic in the meat....just mediocre.... The chicken pita was peppery... no garlic no lemon no oregno...... bland..... nice amount just not great flavor... I wouldn't rush back for either of these products.... The fries were good. read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! For some unknown reason, this restaurant charges you a different (more expensive) price when placing a pick up order. Going inside they seemed on top of taking orders while remaining friendly. They were all extremely nice. All my food was hot, but nothing to brag about. The one positive that does set them apart with their hot dogs is that they are all beef. An old reliable. Nothing truly great, nothing bad. I do like that they have an alternate to traditional gyros meat. The chicken is pretty good. Usually u don't mind because if they're tough and dry that means meaty. But when you can't chew them that's tough. Prices not bad but not good. I am a big fan of T'Allens. Lincolnway is our most common place to get a bite to eat. Rib tips last Thursday didn't seem fresh at Roseland. Very, very tough . . . Dry. Anyone else have that experience?? Drive-through employees are always great! Their bbq sauce is terrific. read more
