Contestants have 30 minutes to finish the pizza. If the pizza is finished in the allotted time, you receive the $40 pizza for free, tshirts, & a spot on the wall of fame. We finished in 14:01. Very disappointed in how rude and cranky the staff was on Friday night during Farmington dew days. I would think most business owners would love the extra customers and embrace the chaos and busyness. Also when we ordered two drinks from one server we paid one price and ordered the same two drinks thirty minutes later and price was more. Do you have set costs on drinks or can servers pick their price? I was shocked at how they treated their customers and I felt since we weren't a "regular" they didn't want our business. Came here because we had been craving a taco pizza which is so hard to find. So the hunt was over when we had seen that their menu had taco pizza! Seemed like a really chill place and everybody seemed super helpful. So we came and got a few pizzas and their cheese bread which has a different name so I'm not sure but it was all really good! Also we asked for taco sauce on the side and that was soo good added on top. I highly recommend and wish they would open a location closer to my house! read more

There used to be a pizza restaurant in Farmington called B&B Pizza and they had a fabulous pizza sauce. My main complaint about Pizza Man is their sauce. It always seems to give me a stomach ache. I am not sure what is different about it but it has an aftertaste. They do have a Taco Pizza and I think that is their best pizza. It has Taco Meat, Onions, Black Olives, & Cheddar topped with Tomatoes, Lettuce, & Corn Chips. I put a little sour cream on it when we order takeout. The jalapeno poppers were decent but too bland. Service is usually friendly. I usually end up having to wait a few minutes for my pizza but then it is fresh and hot. read more

We ordered Mozzarella Sticks, 2 Caesar salads (one with chicken), jerk wings, and pizza fries. The salads were runny from so much dressing (way too much for us) and were completely soggy. I ate the chicken off mine cuz I was so hungry but I picked off all the lettuce. (I suggest they start serving the dressing on the side.) These were so disappointing and not eatable at all. Also their menu claims tomato and croutons should be in these and neither salad at this. Both salads were thrown. They looked like creamed spinach and this was right after pick up. Mozzarella Sticks tasted like they needed to be cooked longer. (Like raw breading.) The jerk wings were somehow soggy as well and had very little flavor. They were cooked through tho, just not crunchy at all. (Perhaps we were expecting more a dry rub then a wet sauce?! but only 5 out of the 13 were consumed before going in the trash.) Pizza fries just tasted old. We ate what we could because we were hungry but more then half went into the garbage and we will not be ordering again. We've eaten here before without these issues. Not sure what happened but it was all enough to put us off and no desire to try it again. read more

If you look at the place, you don't expect much...but...OMG!!! The pizza there is honestly the best I have had here in Minnesota!! Buffalo wings are pretty awesome as well...the service was great!! Decent pizza, not the most amazing pizza but it does have the basics of a pizza. They cut their pizzas into the tiny square grid pattern which some people just go ecstatic over. We had an assortment of types and all were good. Once again, you really can't flub up pizza that bad. We haven't been in here in a while. My wife and I decided to stop to grab a bite. We like calzones so we decided to get a calzone. The food here is good. It is the service that has been slow the last couple times we have been in. The bar seems to be packed most times I am in. They must have some good drink specials. I do not go out and drink just to try to drive home, not my style. I do not drink beer or pop/soda anymore so i normally choose a wine or something else that mixes with juice. This particular day I was having a hard time finding a wine or other drink and decided to just drink water. I like their boneless buffalo chicken chucks which are cubed chicken breast meat. They are good. There is an updated menu that I took a photo of. They have good pizza to me. I am not a huge fan of any pizza. I can't eat Dominoes and some other chain's pizza. My family enjoys the pizza here also. We order it for delivery from time to time. This place has the best pizza in town if you ask me. First time here I loved it, got the lunch special the owner was there it was great I would rate that first experience 5/5. Just showed up there on Easter Sunday seeing as they were open.. bartender was straight up HAMMERED... ignored me first 5-10 minutes then asked me if I was here to drink.. to which I replied was there a daily special? She gave me a dumbfounded look and said hah no... then I said Okay can I get a menu? She said the kitchens closed with a snobby attitude and looked at me as if I'm an idiot. Then I said sure okay I'll take a coors light.. then I got ignored for 5-10 more minutes never got my beer as she was hammered and conversating with all the people at the bar but ignoring my service.. no problem will never be back I walked out before she brought me the coors light. Will not spend another dollar here or ever pay another visit. Feel sorry for the owner because he seems like a great guy but the hammered bar tender with an attitude, and dogshit service I will not put up with. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I am beyond angry and frustrated with this owner. I have been a customer for over 15 years. Friday put an end to that. My daughter went in for dinner, was with a group of people- (several had stepped away from the table)- while the server brought back drinks for all of them all. My daughter was looking at the menu to order food. The waitress came back and asked their age- my daughter spoke up and said 18, mins you it was 730 on a Friday - she immediately accused my daughter and 2 others if drinking the cocktails she brought. Which mind you they never picked up. Then proceeded to kick my daughter out. The server threatened that it was all on video. Mind you the owner confirmed there are no cameras back there. I tried to contact the owner to let him know how inappropriate this was and he basically told me he didn't want to hear it. First time here and I'll be back! Had a slice of pizza and it was DELICIOUS! I'm not a pizza fan but this pizza is yummy. Had a hard time choosing between all the good looking sandwiches and juicy burgers. A friend and I split the roast beef melt and the ham and cheese melt. We were tipped off on this place by a fellow Yelper, Jim L. It took Alyssa R a little convincing that we should go because of what we have known Pizza Man in the Cities to be. A delivery/carry out pizza place. Jim L told me the owners bought the name, but fixed it up to be a bar/restaurant. So, Alyssa R & I drove on down. Our GPS got us there with no problems. Street parking is available up and down the block on both sides. Plenty of spots. The street it is on is perfect old school downtown America. It reminded me of my Grandparents little old town. The Pizza Man is fixed up nice on the outside, and walking in it has a wonderful remodeled feeling. The bar is immediate on the left. It is small. No seats but one were available. But only 6 or 7 were sitting around it. We walked to a high top with six seats and made it ours. Within a couple of minutes, our server stopped by asking about drinks and dropping off menus. We asked about the tap beers. Alyssa R. went with a Blue Moon. I did a Fat Tire. We snuck our order in time for the Happy Hour that ends at 6 o'clock. When our beers came, our server asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. We both went with the AYCE Fish Fry. We got our choice of Beer Battered, breaded, or broiled Pollack. We both went with Beer Battered. We also got a choice of potato. Those were Jojo's, French fries, or mashed. Alyssa R went with Jojo's. I went with French fries. While waiting, I noticed that there was an outdoor patio in the back of the place. A quick question to our server got us relocated to a table out there. It was a gorgeous evening, and at least 12 other people were outside enjoying it. The food took a while to come out, but only because the large group that was outside had ordered before us. As soon as they got all their food, we got ours. It was fresh and cooked well. The Pollack was hand dipped and fried to golden perfection. The fillets had extra Beer Batter hanging off of it that we broke off and ate like chips. Yummy! My French fries were hand cut. They were awesome. They had a house seasoning on them I couldn't put my finger on. Alyssa R & I came up with Lowery's seasoning salt with chili powder added. Just a guess. It was good. The dinner came with 4 fillets that were able to be picked up and eaten with your hand. It also came with house made tartar sauce & 2 wedges of lemon. We only needed to use one wedge because of how juicy they were. One wedge had enough squeeze for all 4 fillets. The house made tartar was great. Tangy and with a lot of chunks of dill pickle. Alyssa Rs Jojo's were good and plentiful. When we were checked up on, I was ready for some more. I got 2 pieces and asked if I could get more fries. Our server said she could put some more down for me. I also went with a bottle of the High Life, too. I'm not sure if you can get more potato here, but our server was nice enough to let it happen. By the time my plate of food came, Alyssa R was ready for more. I ended up giving her one of my two pieces because of the amount of fries they gave me this time was twice as many than the first plate I got. Lemon & tartar came with it too. Great job by our server. We were done after we finished that reorder. We got our bill and it totaled about $31 after tax. Two bucks for the bottle of High Life! Woo Wee. That's a great deal. The All-You-Can-Eat Friday Night Fish Fry cost $10.95. We think that price point is a little high, only because you don't get coleslaw with it. As it comes, $9.99 would be the ideal price. The best is we found Pizza Man and it said all you can eat fish. We laughed because we were looking for pizza. So we gave it a shot. We met ED the owner. My gal has really bad gluten issues. ED said his daughter has the same problem and guaranteed there was no cross contamination. Want to say out loud ED it was fantastic and my gal did not get sick. Pizza Man in Farmington, in my opinion, is the best pizza anywhere in the twin city metro area. If you are anywhere south of the river you need to stop in here. Delivered or take-out, their pizza is good. When you dine in and get it fresh out of the oven, it is PHENOMENAL! Cheese is perfectly stringy, just the right amount of grease that you don't need to dab it off with a paper towel, and sauce that is neither tangy nor over seasoned. We used to live in Farmington and would order it all the time and now make the 20 minute drive from Hastings just for great pizza! Nice bar with a good beer selection in a quaint hometown place with friendly service. read more

Pizza Man has great pizza. However, when the service is unwelcoming, it leaves a bad taste overall! Went to pick up a pizza that I ordered. Walked in to find the woman filling water glasses for customers in outside seating did not flinch or acknowledge that my husband and I just walked in. (This is a small establishment) She even passed right by us to walk out, and absolutely no eye contact! She went back behind the bar and continued her business. I finally asked where pizza pickup was? It took an employee who was there on his day off, to find someone to help us. Very poor customer relations! This woman was cleary on her own agenda, and not happy with her job! It was a very uncomfortable and awkward experience. We will not be returning to the Farmington Pizza Man! read more
