Stopped by for lunch and it was so good. They have daily specials, and the portions are no joke. Even a half sandwich is a huge, very filling serving. Everything is made fresh to order. They slice the meat and cheese right there and you can fully customize your sandwich, which I love. The service was phenomenal. Super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Cute shop and they also have a great selection of Italian products in the shop, plus their own ready-made items like homemade frozen pizzas and take-and-bake entrees, which is such a nice bonus. It's takeout only, but they make it easy with online ordering. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. This place is truly a hidden gem. read more

While it's got zero space for sit down dining, they are on top of their takeout game. The staff were efficient and filled orders quickly. 6/27 placed an order for a large pepperoni and a large pep/meatball pizza. Instead of meatballs we got pepperoni and olives (we don't like olives). Since the order was picked up right before close I wasn't able to go back or call. And then had the task of finding something to feed the people who were anticipating pizza. I remembered I placed my order online, so I sent an email and photo of the $23 inedible pizza hoping for a refund. No response. Followed up on 7/1, again, no response. I understand mistakes happen but am upset that there was no follow up or acknowledgement to either of my efforts to contact them. read more

Brianno's has been on my list for a while, and I finally gave it a try...so glad I did! Eagan's best-kept secret until now. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the most incredible Italian smells. If you weren't hungry before, you definitely will be now. It's a smaller spot that's mostly carry-out with just a few outdoor tables but it was BUSY when I stopped in. The menu has everything from pizzas and deli sandwiches to hot dishes like lasagna and pasta (hot and cold). There's also a little grocery section with frozen meals, sauces, and desserts to take home. While I was waiting, multiple staff members checked in to make sure I was being helped. All were super friendly and attentive even during the dinner rush. I loved how they'd acknowledge when a customer walked in and told them they'd be right with them as soon as they were able to. I ordered the Brianno's Italiano and Club sandwiches (half sizes) and couldn't resist grabbing slices of pistachio and Moscato berry tiramisu. WOW. The sandwiches are meaty and packed with flavor. Heads up: the bread is a bit firmer than most sandwich shops, but I thought it worked really well with the hearty fillings. I cannot wait to return and try the pizza and probably more dessert too! Awesome little deli location in Eagan Burnsville area right off Cliff Road. Stopped in to pick up some meatballs and a tray of tiramisu. The staff was very helpful at making recommendations on a variety of items. The meatballs were fantastic and the tiramisu was out of this world. Best deal I've ever seen on tiramisu buy a big frozen platter and then you cut your pieces out individually. Put them in the refrigerator. You can't beat the taste of it. There's no way. read more

I was super excited to try this place - I'm a sucker for a good Italian sub/sandwich. I got the Sicilian Muffuletta. Overall the taste was great, but I am super picky when it comes to bread. I like it to have a crust on the outside and soft bread. This stuff made my jaw hurt after 4 or 5 bites. I'm not a fan of barely being able to bite into the bread. If the bread wasn't so dense, this could have been 5 stars. It's also missing some lettuce and oil/vinegar or something. It was pretty dry. read more

The website menu and prices need to be updated. This is an obviously have a successful operation but it wasn't what I was expecting. It is set up for takeout only. I thought it would be more like Cecil's with indoor seating combined with a deli. Seeing how it was raining when we were therethe outdoor tables didn't work out. I think most of their customers order online, pick it up and take it home. When we were there things could have gone a little faster if the staff knew how to work together a little better but they really don't get live customers coming in and placing orders. I saw 3 people and was told that there were 3 more in the kitchen. Maybe they need that many when they are busy but it was really overkill when we were there. They are not set up for walk-in business so they didn't know how to deal with us. It was frustrating and took way too long. My hot roast beef had cooled considerably by the time it finally made it to the register. I drove 40 miles and had a Chicago style Italian roast beef sandwich because one of their loyal customers mentioned that it shouldn't have been left out of a list of places that severed Chicago Italian roast beet sandwiches on Racketmn.com I don't expect them to change anything on my say so but here's my opinion: I don't know what kind of liquid they dipped the beef in for 10 seconds but if it was anything more than hot water I'd be surprised. The beef seemed to lack any seasoning whatsoever including salt. Cheese doesn't belong on a Chicago style. It belongs on a Philly. The bun should be smaller and softer. It my have worked well for Italian Grinders/Hoagies but for a Chicago style it just isn't right. I would have preferred a lot more Giardiniera and I wish they had given me Au Jus. If I had ordered online I would have asked for it. They should've known to ask or just provided it. They seem to have an online ordering system but it doesn't match the in store menu at all. I'm not the kind of person they normally have as a customer. If you are, give them a try. If I lived closer I'd be back to try some of the other items. They look like they have some good things going. The lasagna looked very tempting but $50 worth would last me almost two weeks. It is just too much. I won't be back for a Chicago style. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'm going give it a 3 out of 10. It was an OK sandwich but not exactly what I was hoping for. It can't make up its mind if it wants to be from Chicago or Philly. I stopped by to grab a quick lunch- I got the Brianno's Club sandwich and a piece of the tiramisu. The tiramisu was DELICIOUS! The sandwich was a little messy because it was stuffed with toppings, but VERY good. I got a half size, which is a good portion size for 1 person. The staff was polite and friendly. They have ready to eat options, meals to cook at home, and a small grocery section. There is not seating inside but there is outdoor seating with picnic tables. There's a large parking lot out front so no issues with parking. I'll for sure be back to try out more of the sandwiches, and the pizza and pasta! read more

While living in Eagan, Brianna's became my absolute favorite pasta and pizza place in the SE side of the cities. Looking to get away from chain pizza/pasta -try this place and you'll never go back... My traditional order became the Brianno's special if I was having pizza (like a supreme). If that night was pasta - then the baked rigatoni always hit the spot. What else makes this place unique? Last minute dinner the night before thanksgiving and we decided to give Brianno's a go! For some reason I thought this was a take and bake style place for pizza..but it is so much more! First off, they make the best pizzas and bake to order or you can grab from their take and bake cases. They have a hot case that had several other options ranging from lasagna to Italian sausage and peppers, soups and salads. Everything we tried was amazing! NOT TO MENTION THEIR FRESH BREAD! You can buy their premade sauces in their cold case as well as several desserts! I plan on trying everything...meals planned for quick nights right here! We decided on the large house special pizza and found out there was about a 30 minute wait..this is a busy place! People were calling in orders and running in to grab other things as well. While we were waiting and chatting one of the employees brought my husband and I each a little sample plate of all their hot foods they had prepared for the night. Omg y'all...everything was fantastic! Their fresh bread with the vinaigrette was amazingly! We ordered a fresh loaf of bread and dressing to go after trying it! We actually were completely full after all the food! We were getting ready to head out as soon as the pizza came out when the owner approached us and asked our names. He introduced himself and came back a second later with a cheesecake slice in a container he had drawn our names and a little heart on. Customer service at its finest. We would have come back for the food alone, but their service was above and beyond. We couldn't believe how happy everyone was and how nice. The owner was cheering his employees on and it was such a positive atmosphere that I almost asked for a job. This is the best pizza EVER. We totally got a pizza from here randomly (Brianno's is catering our wedding and we wanted to sample their lasagna but ended up also getting a pizza because carbs are LIFE) and now we probably get it once a week. Not only is the pizza THE TASTIEST THING EVER but the staff is so awesome.They're attentive, helpful, friendly and will even walk your pizza out to your car and make sure it's somewhere secure before you drive home. My fave: the house special minus mushrooms. My fiance's fave: Classic sausage and pepperoni. I'm salivating just thinking about this pizza. My only critique is that it is thin crust and can be greasy so get it home and eat it quickly otherwise it might be a little soggy. Check another location off my never ending and always growing list. We actually tried visiting Brianno's a few years ago, pre GPS days and couldn't find it. Well this day we did find it. They are location behind Penn Cycle off of Cliff. Now we know where they are at, we'll be coming back. Brianno's reminds of the family owned Italian Deli's in Chicago. They have a few isles of sauces, olive oils, pasta's and other goodies. There is a freezer section with pizzas, pasta's, sauce and some desserts. They have a hot foods section on their counter which also has a case full of meats, cheeses and salads. There is a spot for sandwiches and even fresh backed bread. Does one really need anything else? As we usually do when we visit a place like Brianno's, we pick up a nice hearty sample. This day we picked up a couple of pizzas, some sausage and peppers and their special pasta from their prepared foods, some prepared Italian meatballs and a couple of other treats. The only downside to our visit was we were hoping to pick up their chicken lasagna that we had read about in some reviews however we were told that is a special order item and need to call ahead next time. We ate the hot foods for lunch and the pizzas for dinner. The pasta was very good and while I prefer a little more spice in my sausage, the sausage and peppers had very good flavor. What really stood out on their pizzas was how good the cheese was. My wife had the Kevin McCallister special while I had the supreme with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers. Pro tip on this pizza, cut it in squares instead of strips. With all those toppings the squares hold up better. Bonus is there is a email/frequent buyers club that you can earn points on with your purchase. We already scored 10 points and look forward to returning for that chicken lasagna as well as some more tasty items. read more

Absolutely perfect and delicious Italian food. Brianno's is a true hidden gem in South Eagan. I heard about them from a friend and discovered they had online ordering (my favorite.) Looking at the menu was hard because I wanted it all! We resorted to ordering lasagna, eggplant parmesan sandwich, muffuletta, margherita pizza, cannoli and tiramisu. We wanted to try all the classics. Well first let me say if you plan to order that "sandwich" it is enough food for 4 people. I think they call it a wedge? It's their baked bread just sliced open and stuffed full of eggplant parm. It was SUPERB. The desserts were some of the best I've ever had. The pizza is perfect and light and crispy. It's 3 days later and we're still eating leftovers! When you go in, it's a bit confusing how to order/pick-up, but they do have a little store in there too for you to pick up the Italian groceries you can't find at your regular store. This place was ah-mazing, and I cannot believe how long it took for us to stop by. I am so glad we did, the food is quality, and reminds you of what you'd get from a hometown deli. I suppose this is a hometown deli in a sense, so if you're looking for that quality and atmosphere in a business, this is the place. When COVID hit I had been watching Brianno's Facebook page to see when they would be serving their macaroni and cheese side (it's one of the daily specials) and when it came up that day we decided we had to try it! We grabbed the macaroni and cheese, an Italian club and the Chicago style beef sandwich and my goodness was it amazing. I'm only knocking one star off for the prices, while I was fine to pay them since this is a local business during a pandemic, I did think it was a little much for what we got (particularly the macaroni and cheese). This is kind of a hidden away place but a great place to stop by for ingredients to make Italian or to buy ready-to-heat or ready-to-wear meals! We went the first time, we got a pasta dish and a sandwich to go. The ingredients were very good and the pasta was cooked very nicely, but the sandwich, while made with good ingredients, wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been with less bread. The bun itself was huge, and honestly kind of dry, and compared to the meat/cheese it was hard to find the inside through the bread. To be fair, when I had a sandwich in Italy it was actually kind of that way as well, so it may just be that we are used to more meat and filings. But the service was friendly and they had a lot of great choices in the coolers to take home and cook/eat and that was really fun. We also got a couple of deli-type pasta salads and those were pretty good as well. A fun place to check out! read more
