I want to start by saying I wanted to give five stars because those kids working it last night were on it and the food was delicious. This place was packed and the staff were running at 100 miles an hour keeping everybody happy. We really loved the vibe inside and out. There's a fire pit outside and string lights on the patio. Families were throwing balls back-and-forth while eating their pizza in the beautiful park like setting. There were six of us and we each got a different pizza and all six pizzas were delicious. I think they had a full bar because everything we asked for they had it. The only bummer was our chicken wings came out raw in the center and seriously that's pretty dangerous and a simple meat thermometer would have solved that. We are regulars here. I can always come here for a good pizza. They have finally transitioned back to real plates and silverware, afyer ditching the paper plates and plastic forks. If you want to charge fair prices, you should give fair utensils. I do miss being outside on the pario. The food is good. The drinks are very good and the beer is cold. Just remember that they open at 4pm every day. I have stopped by for a lunch and have been disappointed. They are also closed on Tuesday. They have a pizza of the month that isn't on the menu. You can also make a custom pizza. They are also loading up the toppings, early pizzas were skimpy. I actually feel there is almost too much toppings now. Maybe I will see you there. read more

If you're ever passing through Hampton like we were, check out Meric's! When we got there, it was packed and was going to be a 30 minute wait. Our family bellied up at the bar, instead, and had great service. The bartender recommended the garlic pepper smoked wings and they were sensational! We also got two pizzas. One was a personal build your own. The toppings were fresh and the dough/crust was SO good! The second one was the dill pickle pizza. We added smoked chicken and bacon. Really good, but they could have gone a little lighter on the ranch sauce topping. Great place, lively and fun to watch the staff work in the kitchen. Check it out! read more

Meric's pizza is a great and unexpected surprise! A friend and I were returning from a day trip to Rochester and thought we would stop somewhere along Hwy 52 on our drive back to the metro area. Yelp led us a bit off the beaten path to Meric's. We had a margarita pizza and a build-our-own pepperoni and sausage pizza. Service was quick, the wood-fired pizzas were delicious, and the beer selection excellent especially for a smaller town establishment. Worth the drive from the south and east metro! read more

WORST SERVICE IVE HAD (maybe) EVER. Our server was so hateful when we mentioned that our pretzel was cold. I had one bite out of it. When the bill came she refused to take it off. A couple minutes before that she removed multiple items from the tables bill next to us. She also was sitting at other tables talking to her friends. We ordered our pretzel as and appetizer right when we sat down and it came out with our entrees. She had an awful attitude. The rest of our food was not even close to being hot. read more

Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. We stopped on a Sunday night on the way back to the Cities from Rochester. I was ready to give a five-star review after our pizza came. Then things went downhill. I ordered dessert, and it took a good 20 minutes to get it. And then when it came it was missing a key ingredient (chocolate), which the server explained they were out of. If he had told me that when I ordered, I would not have waited 20 minutes. Also the dessert waffle was a really tiny portion, and not worth the price. So, go for the pizza, but get there early before the oven gets backed up, or you will wait for a long time. read more

Stopped in for pizza and beer on a beautiful Saturday night. The wood fired pizza here is outstanding! My husband and I ordered the "so meaty" pizza and it was cooked to perfection. I really loved the big pieces of sausage and the freshness of the mozzarella. The sauce had a slight sweetness to it that wasn't overpowering, and a nice hint of garlic. You can really tell they put quality ingredients on their pizzas. We were still hungry after our pizza so we ordered the pretzel that's bigger than your face. It comes with the choice of traditional cheese sauce, Monterey cheese sauce, or mustard. We opted for the Monterey sauce but I think we got three little tubs of the traditional cheese sauce instead. We found this sauce disappointing compared to the quality of the pretzel itself. The traditional cheese sauce is just the mild cheddar sauce that comes in a big can. The pretzel is so fluffy and delicious and the cheese sauce kinda sucked. I would've like one of each of the sauces instead of three of the one kind. All in all, great service and pizza! This is a very popular place, and can be quite loud. Don't go here for a first date; you may have to be yell across the table to be heard, especially at a peak time. You can call ahead and reserve. Expect a surprise 4% service fee. And then expect the usual prompts for tips, which will default to 20%. read more

This was a great place to get together for a friendly family Christmas pizza dinner. We found the pizza delicious, similar to Punch but I actually preferred it here. The Banana Hammock was delicious. Kids loved the Margherita Pizza and the Cheese Garlic pizza. One of us got a sandwich and they made the bread on the spot from pizza dough in the Woodfire oven! That's insanely awesome. The owner was friendly, came out and shot the breeze with us. Most of us got pizza. Everything is heated in the Woodfire oven, no microwave or fryer here. Even the wings are cooked in the fire. I've been seeing the sign for this place since last summer. I didn't realize Hampton had any commercial places so this was intriguing. We actually weren't planning on this stop, but tried another place that was too busy. So glad we came! It was busy on a Saturday but we found a table spot right away, we felt comfortable. A gentleman greeted us, took our initial order and let us know who our waitress would be. Friendly, attentive. The atmosphere is nice - it reminds us much of our own cabin on the inside. Bar area is large, you can see into the kitchen. Nice restrooms. Good mix of low, and high seating. We had the roasted veggies - good but need a little something more on them to really make them a wow (seasoning perhaps, or maybe a balsamic reduction drizzle). We also had the belmont pizza which we requested a little extra done. It was crispy and it was truly a delicious pizza. At no time did I think the toppings were sparse so I'm surprised to see that on other reviews. Looking forward to returning! We were also happy to talk with one of the owners briefly while there and that added to our overall favorable impression. Go Hampton! (So, if you are thinking there's only Little Oscars on Hwy 52, you need to drive into Hampton behind the old Black Stallion and you will stumble on this place easily.) Definitely :) read more
