Went in for a late lunch/early dinner and my hubby ordered the Veggie Pizza and I went for the GF Taco Pizza. The veggie pizza had large chunks and very generous portions of veggies and cheese. My GF Taco pizza was a treat as I hadn't had one in years being GF so I appreciated their take on it and it was very tasty!! I loved the shredded lettuce and chopped tomato topping which cooled the taco heat off the pizza nicely. Came with side toppings of taco sauce and sour cream. After our last visit with friends and the strange burger experience, I decided to try pizza. Taco pizza is a huge favorite of mine. This taco pizza is lacking and taco flavor and has way too much lettuce. They need to have a more taco sauce type base, real taco meat, maybe a bean layer and some heat. It was the blandest taco pizza I have ever tasted and I added jalapenos (there weren't many). First off gal and guy at the front desk - awful. No smiles, gave me an attitude and was less than enthusiastic to help. My Son called to make sure the patio was open before we left and when I got there and asked to sit on the patio they were just so weird about it. With that, once we were seated outside our sever Van, was a rockstar and super friendly and made up for what a catastrophic review this could have been with my first touch experience. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap - DELISH - my son had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and he really like that. The fries are awesome - remind me of In n Out. Met a friend there for a few drinks and something to eat. It was pretty busy there for not having any real events going on. But I was still able to find a seat relatively quick. Then the place cleared out a lot more after the dinner crowd left. Even though it was busy, our waiter was very attentive. Came here expecting a normal dining experience, but left pretty disappointed. The food itself was okay, but charging extra for every condiment and even basic things like cheese just feels excessive. You give them a debit card and when the final bill comes back, they have added 3% to your bill. You look at the bottom and it says in teen tiny type - 3% added for credit card. Nothing said about Debit cards or showing the customer the cash price or credit card/debit card price. Advice to Management: FIX IT! Also while your at it, list the CASH price and the Credit Card / Debit card price on the "before you pay" bill. Don't make your wait staff have to explain this stupid policy to the customer. We were there for Bingo and dinner tonight. We come on Tuesday's 2 to 3 times on month. Tonight was a HUGE disappointment. We waited 25 minutes to order our food!!!!! This waiter was host and waiter????!!! No personality what so ever!!!!!!!!! We got there at 5:15 and our order was not taken until 5:45. NOT acceptable. We were just about ready to walk out. We stopped in during lunch. Patty, our server, was terrific! It's been a long time since we had eaten at a Carbone's, and it didn't disappoint! Went originally for pasta, but saw old menu favorites! We ordered hot hoagie with salami and ham, and a sausage calzone. The food was hot and just as we remembered it! Absolutely LOVE this place. My family was in from Ohio for our brother-in-law's memorial service. We spent our last dinner together at Carbone's -Lakeville. The food was awesome, the facility was clean, but most of all, the service was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Kayla was by far the best server I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and just a beautiful person. She is absolutely amazing. This was my first time at this Carbone's in years, so I am not sure what is nornal here. Service was friendly and pretty attentive. My husband got pizza, which was pretty good. Definitely not the best pizza, but still good. I was disappointed in the nachos though, they were just very bland. I just felt like they were nothing that I couldn't whip together in 10 minutes at home, they were very basic. The ground beef was good, but pretty plain. There were very few green onions and pico on top, but there were tons of black olives. The salsa tasted like a jar of Pace. I just felt like there was nothing special about the plate so for $12, seems not worth it. I would like to see like some housemade salsa or guac, or some more exciting meat (though the other option was Cajun chicken which I should have tried), or just something to make them stand out a little bit, especially for the price. Also, don't take the booth in the front right (when you enter) of the restaurant. This is the best Carbones there is. They should shift all their stores to this model. Has a good sports bar vibe rather than a dive pizza joint. I grew up on Carbone's in St. Paul. Now, as a big boy, I moved to Lakeville with the wife and we frequent this location. As you may expect, Carbone's is famous for their pizza. While we do order their pizza from time to time, we like to indulge most on their delicious artichoke dip appetizer with its heaping helping of toast. Most recently my father in-law showed me the glory that is Carbone's pizza fries. These are just silly good. Greasy, cheesy goodness. They are now a second favorite appetizer and honestly we will just be back for these apps and drinks most of the time. Each time we have been to Carbone's has been for football on Sundays but there is always room for seating in there. One side of the restaurant that is hidden by a wall seems to be louder than the other side. We're not sure what that's about (why were we not invited to the party?). Service has always been outstanding here. If you have any issues with food or booze, they take care of you promptly without putting up a stink. We had flat Stella on our hands during our last visit and our server apologized, sampled it and agreed it was flat. They swapped the keg and we were back on track. All smiles the whole time. Overall this is a place with great food (even beyond pizza), great service and large TVs. It is definitely family-friendly and should be visited frequently with or without the kids.
