The green bean fries were phenomenal with the cry baby Craig's aioli, definitely one of my favs. Some delicious appetizers and pizza to pick from, and a nice extensive drink menu. If you aren't as adventurous they do offer your traditional Margherita and pepperoni pizza. The restaurant was super nice inside. First time to Pizzaria Social and we liked it very much. We sat on their lovely patio on a cooler summer night. So lovely. We decided to order a make-your-own creation with pepperoni, sausage and black olives. I love when the pepperoni is small circles that curl up when baked. It was so good. Lots of toppings. We started with dry rub wings which were also good. They had a nice spicy coating and were a great start. Perfect amount for two people. Great stop on a lovely sit-outside kind of night. My friend and I had started our night at the restaurant across the way in the same building but moved to pizzeria social for other food at the bar. Me and my crew headed to Pizzeria Social in Apple Valley for some woodfire grilled za! I was surprised at the variety and unique types of pizza. We ordered four (and this was enough to feed 8 easily). I got the Birria and, I LOVE Birria tacos, but I would not recommend this pizza. Although the flavor was wonderful, it was soaked in grease. My brother said he believed it to be the broth that you dip Birria tacos in, but it looked and tasted like grease. We also ordered the Mangiafuoco which had spicy soppressata and a lotttt of crushed red pepper. Like so much I couldn't eat it but I'm not a spice person. My bro is and loved it! If it weren't for the spice that would've been my fave. The Thai Chicken was also really good, but the Margherita took the cake. It was the perfect balance of tomato, basil & mozzarella. I'm excited to come back to Pizzeria Social and try the Dilly Dilly as it heard it was just as good as the Pickle Pizza at the State Fair. Great place to meet up for happy hour with friends! Went around 4pm and discovered they do a Detroit style personal pizza special on Mondays, so decided to give that a try! They were pretty empty at this time so we were seated right away, and the server we had was really down to earth and friendly. He kept our drinks full and the rounds kept on coming. The pizza was pretty good! A few of my friends ordered some of their specialty pizzas and they were spectacular. A little on the pricier side, but worth it for the flavor combinations that you don't always see. We also tried the fried green beans and they were delicious- highly recommend those! Three friends and I went here for the first time for lunch. It's a cute place with lots of room. They have a variety of interesting (not in a Minnesota way!) wood-fired pizzas. I ordered the Mangiafuoco which is advertised to be spicy but wasn't too spicy at all but full of flavor with, as the name would imply, Italian meats. One friend had the Blackberry which was surprisingly delicious! While not considered a dessert pizza, it certainly could be. It wasn't too sweet and the berries were a delightful addition. As you can see from the photo (yes, I actually added photos this time!) it is a lovely presentation. One had the Alfredo (sans the habaneros) which was also quite tasty. The last had the carrots from the starter menu. They were simply amazing! Delicate baby carrots with maple syrup, yogurt (with a gentle touch of curry). An explosion of flavor!!! Pizzeria Social hasn't been around long and you really should give it a try. We are definitely going to return to try more items on their menu, which is quite extensive with something for everyone - not just pizza. They have a nice selection of beer and wine as well as a full bar. Unfortunately, our server's name isn't on the receipt because she was helpful, pleasant, and very friendly. In reading the other reviews, our experience wasn't noisy at all although it was an early lunch and it wasn't super busy. They do have a great patio that we can't wait to try out. read more

This place is great! It has a really nice aesthetic vibe inside, and the food isn't bad either. The servers were so, so kind, and it was a pleasant place to sit and eat. There wasn't a lot of commotion like other restaurant, so it's a nice place to talk too. The only reason I wouldn't give this place a 5 star is because of two things. One, we ordered the garlic cheese bread, and it was literally soaking with oil. I had to go to the bathroom and wash it really nicely with soap to get it off. Two, we ordered the Margarita, and the cheese was literally falling off the pizza. Also, sweet sauce they added on top, didn't really match with the rest of the taste. It was a weird contrast. Have been here three times now to try out the various pizzas and other items. The space is still amazing - huge bar in the middle with a seriously fantastic beer selection broken out on the menu by style. If it ever gets warm, the patio looks great even though it just looks out on 150th. They still have some holdover items from Mezcalito Butcher (including the octopus which I was scared to try again). Pizzas range from great (fig and prosciutto) to interesting (Raging Cajun and Kalbi) to okay and traditional wood fired pizza (glutinous). Even our server said that non- traditional pizzas are hit or miss. Some of our pizzas have been cooled to perfecting, one they were burnt. Best pizza so far was the fig and prosciutto. The right balance of salty (blur cheese), sweet (fig jam) and savory. Splitting a pizza along with an app (the burrata!) or a salad works. Ordering two pizzas gives you more selection and leftovers that heat really well in the air fryer. Service is hit or miss too depending on the time of day and staffing. read more

This is a cute pizza shop with ample parking and good vibes. We got the dill pizza which was very good. If you are hoping for the dill pizza like they have at the state fair this isn't quite it but it is delicious in its own way. The host/hostess stand was a little confusing, we walked up to where we figured it was, but there was no one there, so we finally caught an employees attention. Once we were seated, we received great service from our server. There were three of us, we decided to order three pizzas to share. They had so many interesting/good sounding pizzas. We were able to narrow our selections only because of dietary restrictions. Otherwise, it would have been much more difficult to decide. One we tried was the Margherita pizza. We really enjoyed it. The balsamic was great, but felt the basil could have been fresher and larger pieces of it. We also tried the Thai chicken. The flavor was really good, I felt it was a little dry, but another individual said it was their favorite of the three. We thought the Cajun' Shrimp really sounded interesting, so we chose that as the third one. We were all surprised at how good it was, and there was shrimp flavor in every bite even though there wasn't necessarily shrimp itself in the bite. I have eaten in and got take out from this 3rd installation of this location. Nice selection of wood fired pizzas, but at a price. The small pizza at $15+ is not worth it, I would spend the extra $5-$6 to almost double your size of food (see picture). Pizzas are flavorful and nicely cooked. The Gyro pizza could have more toppings spread out, 2 slices just consisted of crust. Will be back to try something other than pizza next time and to try out the delightful looking patio. read more

Nice concept. It was a great place to meet up with a friend. The hostess was not friendly and inviting, that was my first impression of Pizzeria Social. There was a 30 minute wait at 5:00. I didn't see any seating to wait. We poured ourselves a glass of water and another employee sent us around the corner to a room with these fabulous chairs and plants galore. Woodfire pizzas come in one size, all of the other pizzas come in 2 sizes. There are some interesting combinations. I thought they were a bit expensive. My caprese type pizza was good! Square cut is a lovely, thin crust. We chose cup pep-sausage. Liked the red sauce on the pizza, but not as a dipping sauce for the fries. Not sure what flavor I was picking up on. Have eaten here twice now, and the pizza's were excellent both times. They have a lot of interesting fun pizza choices, and the ones we've tried have all been delicious. I think my favorite so far is the Snow White, but the Porky Fig and Thai Chicken were good too. Our servers have been excellent--very friendly and attentive. And we sat outside on the patio both times, which is a terrific atmosphere. Came here to go to the coffee shop. Loved the environment with the pretty plants everywhere. There was not much seating when I came and the coffee was not good. It was way too acidic and the milk was not frothed properly in my latte. I was excited to hear that a new coffee shop opened near me, but I don't know if I would come back for the coffee. The service at Pizzeria Social is great. Tried it last night with the wife. Our server was awesome. She gave us some good recommendations for appetizers and pizza. We is the meat ball appetizer which was really good. They weren't heavy and dry line some places. Very light and airy served with some good sauce and grilled bread. We had the Mangiafuoco wood fired pizza. It had spicy soppressata , mozzarella, ricotta, Chile infused honey fresh oregano sea salt. It was pretty good, there was a surprisingly sweet finish I was sure about, but it was good. We also had the Kalbi which has short rib, kimchi, gochu sauce and seasame. That was also good. The other thing is all their wood fired pizzas are 10". I didn't try their other pizza which is not wood fired, but comes in two sizes. The only down side was it was very loud between the bar, music and general chatter. If they could somehow damper it just a little that would make it more enjoyable for me. read more

I love the vegetable options -- for some reason it's hard to find a good place in the suburbs around here that serves creative and delicious veggie apps. I've tried the Charred Broccolini + Cauliflower, and Fire Roasted Carrots. The Charred B+C is a generous and filling portion!! You absolutely get your money's worth out of that dish. I ask for a steak knife to help cut it, and the servers always kindly provide without judgement. The Fire Roasted Carrots taste fantastic, and you might want to ask for a spoon to dish out the extra sauce on the plate. The Rooting Around cocktail is also great if you want something a little more on the herbal, semi-sweet side, and it's lovely on a hot day. The HH serving of pizza is HUGE!! It's a very generous deal for the HH price, so I definitely recommend giving it a try if you want to do HH prices and need a pizza fix. The crust is thin but not like a wafer crisp, and the amount of toppings on the slices I saw were also generous. The pepperoni looked a little greasy, but not cheaply so, and the sausage was fantastic. I hope this place continues to do well! There was live music on the patio and a single group inside the restaurant. We told them there would be 8 of us. The hostess then proceeded to seat us at a table for 6. She also only gave us 7 menus for 8 people. We asked to move to the patio and she told us "we can't do that. Our servers out there are too stressed." We then proceeded to move tables together ourselves, in order to comfortably sit all 8 of us. The music playing inside the restaurant was absurdly loud, and was clashing with the live music playing on the patio. It was a big challenge to hear even the person sitting next to you. The pizza we had was delicious, but we genuinely aren't sure that is enough to outweigh the negatives, especially given the rudeness of the hostesses and some staff members. read more

The Wood Fired pizza was doughy and that portion of the menu was inflexible, you had to have one of the non traditional pizza's in the menu and are not allowed to make your own, I think this is a miss. We tried the Kalbi Pizza, it was made as ordered and I generally like those flavors but could not finish more than two slices before it was too much and I did not like the overall taste and combination of toppings together. Oysters were on the menu for a pizza joint but as I ordered oysters, I was informed they only had five left and they were saving them for customers that were at Farmer, which is in the same building.... What a joke. Why isn't first come first serve when oysters are on both menus for Farmer and the pizza place. Turned off by the logic of saving it for the other restaurants customers.... Take the damn oysters off your menu then. Not planning to visit this restaurant or its other restaurant brands. This might explain the constant change of location and restaurant brands.... Been here twice now, the first time we started off with a server but she got busy or distracted. We tried ordering the happy hour pizza slice but couldn't get her attention for 15 minutes and when she finally got to us about 2 minutes after it ended, I had asked if I could get a slice for an upgraded price since it wasn't happy hour anymore and was told no. Bummer because the slices looked much better than the actual pizzas. Luckily a guy took over our service and he was great. We had him again tonight and still spot on. We started off with wings, which were delicious but seemed a little pricey for 6 small wings. We then had the meatball pizza and a burger. Burger was alright, but for an average cheeseburger and undercooked fries that cost $18 seemed a little much and would not order that again. Meatball pizza was good but meatballs were pretty burnt.
