You will never find an Italian grinder as tasty and fresh as the one I just had. Perfectly toasted, fresh roll, quality meats, cheese and veggies. Did not skimp on anything. Fresh crispy green lettuce and ripe tomatoes and plenty of everything. Had mine with hots and oil. I have found the perfect pizza place. It is a 25 minute drive but when you find something as good as this was and know what is waiting at the end of your drive it is well worth it. The sweet girl who waited on me was very personable and friendly. I love walking into a place and be greeted. That's was my first impression along with the sparkling clean kitchen and overall business. You have a new regular. I look forward to trying the pizza on my next visit. read more

Being relatively new to the area, we made it our mission to try plenty of local pizza shops to find our Neo (Sorry to those born post-1999. That means "the one"). Pizza Palace exceeded our expectations from day 1. We've probably ordered from here at least a dozen times (don't judge me...) and every single time has been delicious. Their large subs are generously filled (unlike that popular green logo chain sub place whose bread is the width of a #2 pencil... but I digress). We're also huge fans of their pizza which is very reasonably priced. Everyone is super friendly and they even have a "pizza club" card where you get a free pizza once you've purchased 9. This is absolutely our go-to take out place and I recommend you make it yours! read more

We happened by here as a family of out-of-towners looking for a little snack. Every town has their "hole in the wall" pizza place and maybe this is Hubbardston's. I'll tell you what: for a small town with not a lot going on, this place is really not half bad. I was nervous they might not have proper seating but they do. More than I'd realized. I walked in and saw a couple of booths on the right. Sufficient. Then I looked left and saw a sea of tall tables with bar stools. Around the corner from there -- there's even more. I'm assuming that it's the owners who work the kitchen. Nicest people ever. They greeted my 7 year old with a little complimentary bag of chips. Very nice touch. They were attentive and didn't rush us, despite the fact that there were a good number of people there. We didn't get anything very complicated, just a small cheese pizza and a small BBQ chicken grinder. Despite the phone ringing constantly, it was made very quickly. Another reviewer suggested they used frozen dough, maybe it's so. They also suggested that the whole thing was frozen and re-heated... not true. You can have an open view to the kitchen from most tables and it's clear that the pizzas were made from pre-created pans of dough. Not a big deal to me. My daughter watched the whole process with wonder as pizza is her favorite food. There weren't any "totally pre-made" pizzas made on a busy night. I liked that the crust on the ends were smaller, it wasn't super-doughy with a massive chewy crust-end. It was kept to a minimal. Drink selection is OK, there's a cooler with Coke products and they have a few beers available behind the counter. The prices were reasonable. I think I paid $5 or less for a Blue Moon bottle. The pizza went over well. It was simple and you can tell a lot from a place by how they handle the simplest of orders. The sauce was pretty good and the cheese, while it might have been a LIIITTLE bit light, was just cheesy enough. The grinder was not a bad effort at all. The chicken was sufficiently crispy, it wasn't overboard on BBQ sauce (though if it were, I wouldn't have been mad) and it was a pretty damn good roll it was on. I'd definitely, absolutely come back to this place. Seemed like a very good value (BBQ chicken grinder, small cheese pizza, 2 cooler drinks and a beer for $22), everyone behind the counter and in the kitchen seemed engaged in their tasks and presented themselves to everyone very well. Everything was efficient and tasted good. This is what small-town pizza ought to be. You don't find it in this form very often, just a simple well-done execution. Perhaps there are few frills: there's a TV playing local stations, you can play Keno. The bar height tables were super wobbly, we tried several, which is my lone concern for the dining room, but nit-picking doesn't always win a race. I'm sold just based on the fact that the 4 members of the staff (I believe they were all family by observing them) seemed on-board to do it all properly, covered-up nothing in an open kitchen, the output was performed efficiently with good quality and the price could be considered a good value. You can't buy that kind of honesty. This is a bit of a hidden gem, for sure. I take off one star only because the cheese on the pizza wasn't quite as full and that the BBQ sauce on the grinder was perhaps used sparingly. But, it's 4 stars otherwise. They do know their way around the kitchen. It's a tight ship. read more

Stopped at pizza palace by chance on our way home staff was super friendly upon entry gave my lii daughter a bag of chips.. Food was fresh quick and absolutely delicious BTW we took it to go! My husband got a steak bomb it was delicious and full of flavor!!! I got a BLT, crunchy flavorful bacon in every single bite! I highly recommend ! read more

The best thing about Pizza Palace is the people. Staff was so nice and friendly from the second we walked in. It was a hot and humid summer evening and we just wanted a quick solution to dinner. We were a little disappointed to find the place wasn't very well air conditioned and not the most comfortable for us to sit. Tables were a little unkept and sticky, but it was a busy friday night. No big deal. Fortunately, this wasn't a huge issue, as our destination was really close by.. We ordered mozz sticks, and a plain cheese pizza to go. Learned lonnng ago . if you've never had the pizza there before, just start with a plain cheese to judge them. Its true, any pizza shop in the world, however hole in the wall or gourmand, they can be judged by their ability to produce a great cheese pizza. Starving, we decided to take the hot food to go, but I ordered a caesar salad for us to split while we waited. Came out super fast, and picked it up at the counter. ... barely. I hadn't realized they threw it on a super thin paper plate, and i almost lost the whole thing on my shirt. Once it made it back to the table, we barely ate it because it was literally just pre-shredded romaine bag lettuce with bottled caesar dressing , watered down with vinegar and a couple shakes of powdered parmesan cheese. So much vinegar, you couldn't even get refreshment from a single bite. Waste of $6 right there. Our pizza was ready in no time and we whisked it off home. Still hot and crispy at the edges, the pizza itself was on a piece of cardboard. UGh. Ladies and Gents, unless you ordered from an upscale place that has heavy toppings (and even then they should plan accordingly) you should never find one of these in a pizza box. It indicates that the crust or even the entire pizza was frozen at one point before it saw an oven. A few bites in and we could tell..and confirm. For shame. .. this is certainly how they keep their prices very competitive and can make a lot of pizza in short time. Stinks cause the sauce wasn't half bad. A little sweeter than most and less salt/spice , but still would have shined on fresh dough. Mozz sticks were average, also frozen delights. I won't rule them out completely. Would work when low on funds and fridge contents. Haven't given any other food a chance, but believe it or not there are other better pizza establishments in the area, I just don't think all the locals are aware of that just yet. read more

Greek pizza served with a smile. I don't love greek pizza typically because the crust is too crispy and the pizza is too greasy. I don't mind the pizza here because their sauce isn't as acidic as other, almost a little sweet. I could say "it's the best in town", but I think it's all that's in town. I called in a small pizza order last night and it was a Friday night so the place was packed but I was very annoyed when I got home and they gave me the wrong pizza instead of meatball it was sausage and it had no flavor, very little cheese and just in general yuck. Also gave my husband a reaction to the sausage we should have gone to Papa Gino's instead. read more

This is our Go-to Pizza place. Love the pizza, love the steak and cheese sub, love the calzone, and especially love Friday night seafood night. Fresh fish and chips and scallops with a salad! Yum! The service is super - so friendly - you'll feel like family. We love going here. Our daughter recently got an allergy to garlic and thankfully there is no garlic on the pizza. It gets busy on a Friday night after 6pm so prepare to wait or call ahead. We like to eat there cause it is SO fresh so try to get there just before 6pm to get a table.
