I stopped in today for a salad NO CHEESE and then decided to get an empanada. I asked if they had a beef empanada which i always get elsewhere. The young man who took my order was very pleasant and said yes we have beef empanada. I ordered one to taste. As I was waiting i was on a call with a friend who had suggested to make sure there was no cheese in the empanada since i cannot have cheese. I said but I have never heard of a beef empanada with cheese its either or. So i asked the young man if there was cheese ( there was another gentleman standing on the side of the counter looking at his cell phone but listening, not sure if he was a manager or owner). The young man did answer with a yes that they put cheese in their empanadas so i explained that i cannot eat cheese and i would not have ordered it if I knew that they put cheese in it. The gentleman standing by said that it only had a little but yes there is cheese in there. I responded " I cannot have cheese" Again, which he seemed to ignore. Then the young man said we have already cooked it. I offered to buy something else instead. I didn't ask for my money back just asked kindly to have something else. He said again its already made. I can understand that they cooked it and i paid for it already but in my opinion they could of accommodated the situation and maybe gave it to an employee or something and yes I should of asked before. I was use to eating just beef empanadas from PR and never had a beef one with cheese. i didn't think to ask where they were from in case they did them differently.......wasn't going to ask that. I wish they had info more clearly what it had in it , or posted it for one to know and wished they were a little more understanding. Since Espresso's II has changed owners the food quality is poor and customer service is no better. The pizza are always ( not occasionally) overcooked like cardboard when we order. I ordered a meatball sub and an order of onion rings, when they arrived 65 minutes later the sub was soggy and cold and the onion rings were cold. Then you make them aware of the problem with the food and I have been told " what our food" by the manager and the owner. read more

New to the area and just started working a place right down the road. It was literally a 5 minute walk and right on the main road. The employees inside were very nice and time oriented and when I got the slices I got during my lunch break I was amazed it was so cheap. For a slice of cheese it was a buck and 90 cents so I grabbed 3 for 6 bucks. The sauce is what made it and the crust at first I was iffy about but it grew on me. Espresso pizza 2 Thieves! We ordered off the menu they gave us in the last year. The employee called me Back and told me an item I ordered wasn't available, I told them I don't want to replace it. Common sense tells me it would have been taken off the bill. They over charged us by $10.00. I noticed it was a lot of money when we received the order and I called them back. The man asked me what I ordered and he claimed it was correct. I said that's not what your menu said. He said the menu prices aren't correct and it's been out of Date for 5 years. I haven't lived here nearly 5 years. It's a menu given to us by them recently. He stood by his claim that it wa ls MY responsibility to ask for the prices before I ordered, instead of them advertising correct prices. My boyfriend called and they told him a different story. All of a sudden they are willing to make changes, but never corrected the charge. Check your bill! They steal from you. And the food is garbage anyway. read more

Folks, I got half a pickle and cheese pizza medium, buffalo tenders, sausage and ravioli, and mozzarella sticks. I was told 30 minute delivery, it came an hour and 20 minutes later. The only thing that was luke warm was the buffalo tenders. Everything else was cold. Now I am a HUGE fan of espressos in Fitchburg, went all of the time when I lived in Fitchburg near downtown. Pickle pizza from this place is probably the best because the sauce is sweet and the pickles are just tart that it's the best combination. Since my food was cold there isn't really much I can say other than how disappointed I am about the food. Maybe I'll try going there directly next time, but as of right now, I'm pretty much all set with this place. read more

I went in last night because my mom was craving a steak and cheese sub. We tried a few pizza spots in the area but none has really popped out . I ordered two steak and cheese subs and some mozzarella sticks . The subs were so good , very flavorful and just the perfect size. My son ate all 6 mozzarella sticks as well and he's the hardest to please so I was very happy about that . Overall food and prices were great , I think I found my new spot read more

Ordered a large pizza and greek salad. Good news first, salad was fresh. Now to the bad, the pizza (crust, cheese, and sauce) had zero flavor and reminded me of my days when i was on a cardboard diet. :) Even the toppings, sausage and peppers added no taste. It may be due to them not making fresh dough and cooking pizzas on demand. I saw a rack of precooked cheese pizzas that they use as a base then add the toppings ordered. Bottomline bad experience and worst food in Leominster so far. Hope this helps them upright the ship or they won't be expanding much further. read more

Not a fan of the pizza here. I personally don't like the sweet sauce. Seems like whoever you ask they either love it or hate it. The sauce is very sweet and made with orange soda. We also had a grilled chicken Cesar salad. This was good. Chicken wasn't dry and seasoned nicely. Unfortunately just the sauce isn't for us but you have to give it a try. The pizza here is very good for the local area. The store had a few grand opening hiccups, as food came out slow and not exactly to order, but they are on track now. Pizza is reasonably priced and do have several take out specials. The sauce here is a little sweeter than other places, so you do want to be prepared for that. Who eats this pizza???? The sauce is cloying, sickeningly sweet. YUK!!. Tomato sauce is supposed to be savory, spicy, NOT overpowered with sugar . Sitting at Espresso's Pizza in Leominster, and I am wondering WTH was I thinking by suggesting lunch here. Fitchburg is a totally different experience. Getting a salad for 2 that comes on a foam plate and just covers the bottom of the dish....ya I'll never come back so I would suggest to go to Athens we left cuz it was too crowded, never make that mistake again. I'll start off with saying I LOVE their pizza! However, we were in the mood for sandwiches and Leominster House had an hour wait. We had never ordered subs from here before but figured we loved the pizza so much that everything must be good. So wrong! We ordered a large steak and cheese with bacon. They forgot the bacon and it barely had any cheese on it. We also ordered a small chicken parm sanwhich. I loved that it had the pizza sauce but there wasn't enough, had I known I would have ordered a side of it. There was a ton of cheese which was great. Now the chicken- I think McDonalds has a better quality chicken than this place. It was that foamy looking breaded stuff. I will say they were speedy and friendly but I will never order subs here again. read more

Where's the beef ?? We ordered (15) Italian rice balls recently, which are supposed to have a decent amount of ground beef in them, but when we cut them open it's almost impossible to find ANY. My wife called them about it, and the manager Challenged her "Bring one of them back here and if I can't find any meat, then they're free". So then he managed to find a small speck of meat and declared "See, there's the meat", while the other employees shied away in embarrassment. I found about a quarter of a teaspoon of meat in each rice ball. If you look at any recipe for these rice balls that includes meat, there is usually a lot more: one recipe for making (4) balls has 200 grams of beef, while only using 150 grams of rice. Another recipe for (11) balls has 1/3 pound of ground beef for 2 cups of rice; you get the picture, there SHOULD be plenty of beef, not a barely findable amount. All I'm saying, don't expect great Italian-style rice balls here, go somewhere else. read more

I only gave one star because you can't write anything without choosing one. We went here last week for pizza and have never been more disappointed. The pizza--which I find hard to screw up--was the most disgusting pizza I've ever eaten. My boyfriend said it was certainly the sauce-sweet and so strange tasting. On top of a bad dinner, the woman who seemed to run it (see Kara's post), was completely inappropriate. She was yelling, talking about an infection in her foot, talking poorly about a woman who came in to ask about employment (who did she think she was-she only worked in a chicken joint?), and acted as though she was at a middle school dance. Will we go back? Never! Would we recommend Espresso? Not unless you want to take Tums and Advil immediately after! read more

Espressos is the absolute best pizza around! Every Monday after work my coworkers and I call in our pizza and fried dough, and they have it ready and waiting right when we get there. She called the store and told them we had paid for a pizza without cheese, and they acknowledged that there was cheese in the pizza sauce. She explained I was allergic to cheese.
