So this place has been our go to several times (there is not much else for takeout in the area). Every order there is something a little off....delivery is an hour and a half when we were told 45, drink we paid for is missing, etc....fine I get it and we always overlook it, I understand places are busy. But today...I preordered a small sub, requesting 11:45 delivery so I could eat it on my 25 min lunch break. It came super early which was fine, just wasn't hot- but no big deal, better early than late. It was ordered as a small chicken finger sub- lettuce, pickles, mayo and American cheese, toasted. It came with all of those things PLUS MARINARA SAUCE. Talk about ruining my lunch. If I had wanted marinara sauce I would have asked for it....but really who would have on top of the other ingredients I asked for.... today was just the last straw we won't be ordering again. read more

This is the closest pizza shop to my house so its convenient to pick up stuff here. The staff here are super friendly and always pleasant. They chat you up while you are waiting for you order to be ready. In fact the other night I was there they were very interested in my dog who was waiting in the car. The pizza's are tasty, but nothing too special. I do like the buffalo chicken pizza which is a little different, but its still a bit greasy. They also make good fries. Overall, its a good neighborhood pizza shop, but not worth going to unless you live nearby. I also like that they take debit cards so I don't need to remember to get cash before I go. read more

Have gone here a few times recently for food; some pickup, some delivery, but this last delivery was by far the worst experience I've had. I got attitude on the phone from the worker because he didn't know where the address I gave him was. The delivery boy didn't bring anything for change with him actually seemed to expect a $9.25 tip (we got 1 large cheese pizza). I actually called the store itself to request him to come back (he said he would) because I felt that uneasy that he would not come back and it was not my money to give away. When he did come back, he basically took a tip for himself anyway. "What do you want back? $8 sound good?" I didn't want to be rude but he blew me away with his attitude and audacity. We've been going there for years. Always for subs. Never a problem. Always tasty with fresh ingredients.

Been ordering from here for a little while, and the food and service has been pretty good, until today. It was around 1:30, I ordered my food, and expected it to arrive in 30-45 minutes like it always does. But nope, not this time. 30 minutes went by, no food. 45 minutes went by, still no food. An hour went by, STILL no food. So I thought, ok, maybe they're just super busy, so I'll give them like 10 more minutes and if it still hasn't arrived, I'll call them. Less then 2 minutes later I got a call from them making sure I had gotten my food since they knocked on the door for a while and no one answered so they just left it on the front porch. So I told them I'll check my porch, and they hung up. Went out to my porch, no food. Went to my front door, no food there either. And what was even odder was I had been specifically waiting for a delivery car and never saw one, or even heard a knock on my door at all. And my dogs hadn't even barked like they always do when someone comes to my door. So, I called them back and explained to them that there was no food on my porch, and they said they'd call the delivery guy to see what happened then call me right back. 15 minutes go by, no call from them. (Now, at this point I was getting upset because I had paid for food that the pizza shop said was delivered when it wasn't). 5 minutes go by, the delivery guy shows up at my house with my lukewarm, almost cold food saying he accidentally delivered it to the wrong house. So, my food had been sitting on my neighbors porch for like a half hour! And they didn't even bother to replace it or refund my money! Ugh! I haven't had Pizza Pizzazz in probably 4 years, preferring the "other guy around the corner". Lately, the "other guy" has slipped quite a bit in quality and increased prices since they moved to the larger building so I decided to give Pizzazz another try. I ordered online: an Italian style pizza and a calzone to be delivered (i am 10 minutes away). It arrived on time and piping hot. The Italian style cheese pizza was the best non-brick oven pizza I had in quite a while. The outer crust (the crust around the pizza) was the perfect amount of crunch and soft and tasted like fresh breadsticks. The crust under the cheese was not too thick or too thin. The combination of cheese, sauce and spices was perfect, resulting in cheese that was stringy when you took a bite. Yes, this pizza was a bit greasy, but they are using the yummiest cheese (why do you think it tastes so good?). The calzone was the real deal. It wasn't a pizza folded over like the "other guys", but cheese and meats wrapped in more of that awesome breadstick like crust and baked perfect. Good eats! I have gone here occasionally for several years due to their proximity to my home. Contrary to the other reviewer, I have always found the employees standoffish and unfriendly. From the moment I walk in, I feel as if i feel treated as if I am an interruption to them and they are doing me a favor. I can't say that I've ever seen a smile from an employee there. You know, I was pretty alright with this place until last night. Pizza was decent and subs were pretty good. We had a party over the house and I ordered $100 + worth of pizza. The delivery guy showed up , gave him a damn good tip and he left. Next thing I know, about an hour later my first guest leaves and informs me my mailbox is in the road. The way it landed it could only have been hit from a car backing out of my drive way. Call up Pizza Pizzazz to ask them about it. They got ahold of the driver and he denied any such thing happened. Manager said she believe him and could find no evidence on the rear bumper. The told me to have the cops come down and did not wish to discuss it with me any longer. So report filed. Well low and behold, today in my mailbox (now standing in a bucket with rocks and dirt) there is a blank envelope for $45 bucks. Someone feeling bad? Over the years I have tried all the pizza places in the area, and for places that deliver, I think this one is the best - their crusts are very good and the toppings are fresh. The staff is friendly, deliveries are always timely, and the orders always correct, which is saying a lot since I've been a customer for at least 10 years. We have gone to Pizzazz for just ages, and have never been disappointed (I've been meaning to write a review for them for some time and just got around to doing it.) The pizza, subs (mostly meatball) and salads we have gotten from there are always super good! And I find the people to be very friendly. Of course, everyone has a different personality. This place is no exception and some of the people are more outgoing than others. Certainly there have been times I've come in when they didn't rush over to wait on me, but they were busy! They certainly came over to wait on me in less than a minute, and are always very pleasant. I like their new location as well; clean, spacious, and easy to get to. Probably the worst pizza place in Townsend. I called in an order for two basic subs at 5:20pm on a Wednesday (May 8th, 2019) and it didn't get delivered until 6:45pm (I live literally 5 minutes from the place and I only ordered out because my car is in the shop). Food was cold and coagulated. Driver was obviously a stoner and very rude. Order was wrong also. The person answering the phone sounded like she was on drugs and I even made her verify the order before giving her my credit card number. I called twice during my 1hr and 25min wait and they said it had just left and it was on its way. I seriously threw $30 of shit into the trash tonight. This is the first review I have ever given...ever. But I felt the actual need to sign up and review it because of the terrible food and service I received. this is my favorite pizza place in town. The staff is amazing...very friendly. My only complaint is sometimes it takes a while to get your food. As long as you give them adequate time to make your food before you head out to get it, then it's no problem. read more

This is the closest pizza place from my home and I used to love it. They now have moved into a new building which Is good and I'm happy for them. Problem is that they have now messed up my sandwhich more than I can count with my hands. I love that they try and grow but you can't grow if you can't do the easy things first, don't take the easy way out of putting lettuce mayo and tomatoes in my food. The best pizza shop salads within a 15 mile radius - always freshest lettuce, tomato's and they throw in a couple of pitted, very high quality and yummy olives. The pizza is done in traditional Greek style - light fluffy crust and not too greasy (I am kind of partial to NY style pizza myself, but this works in a pinch). Very good subs I will go out of my way for one of their steak and cheese subs, toasted with mayo, onions and mushrooms. Yeah, it's not a health-conscious meal, but with a McDonald's right next door to this joint, and Baily's bar and grille right above it, Pizzazz is a low-cost alternative at Townsend harbor.
