Grappelli's has been a staple in Peterborough since I was a kid. It's the only brick oven pizza in town. Thin crusts, that are hand tossed, good base sauces and they have more choices than typical red. They also sell slices I believe until 4 most days, which is fantastic if you are hungry and don't want to commit to a full pie. The pizza is really the star of the menu at this Pizza place. Their staff and customer service is great and the pizza is delicious (although the crust is a bit tough). Unfortunately since they're closed on Sundays we finally tried some other pizza places in town and discovered one in particular that has a really, really good gluten free crust (far superior to Grappelli''s gluten free one; the outer crust is so hard it's inedible). So the new place is probably going to be our go-to pizza place now especially since for some reason we're always craving pizza on Sundays. Grappelli's salads are also not so good (iceberg lettuce for one thing) so we never got a salad with our meals. Also no air conditioning in the summer (sometimes they close their pizza ovens when it gets too hot and you have to order other things off the menu instead.) Don't want to be too critical though because they do have some good, delicious food. read more

I have had some great experiences and have been left a little confused on what I received when I picked up my order. For my money the chicken pesto is one of my favorite pizzas and the Bianca a white sauce and onion is a close second. The canolis made to order are on point and good too include. The wait time is 40 or more minutes for what seems like any order is a lot and the fact that when you get there your pizza is out and sitting on top of the oven isn't great, wish they could dial that in... there is one hardo i am assuming "manager" that doesn't let people sit and eat there pizza in their dining area an hour before they close which can be very annoying, I enjoy eating my pizza hot when it comes out. Seems like a mixed bag on whether we get an order that's messes up, sort of the Manny being Manny analogy just grapellis being grapellis, will you get your cheese pizza with pesto? Maybe. Still one of the best pizzas in the area and worth trying the monthly specials. read more

Right next to the hospital, great location! Went in for the first time, got the 3 for $33 deal. Comes with a large cheese, large pepperoni and a 2 liter. Pizza was delicious! The only complaint I would have is that the crust is a bit over done, but that's just personal preference. I'll definitely be back! read more

We had a craving for some NY style pizza and Grappelli's satisfied it. My wife and I split a pepperoni, onion, and shroom pizza and our daughter had a pizza with peppers on gluten free crust (she liked the GF crust). We're we're out and about when we decided to look for something to eat. Went on yelp and found Grappelli's craft pizza. We had our puppy with us so it was great that they had outdoor seating. We ordered two pizzas, some beer, and some garlic bread. I had the four cheese pizza with Alfredo sauce instead of red sauce, and hubby had the works pizza. The pesto on the four cheese pizza was perfect to balance out the richness of the cheese. The New York style thin crust pizza is absolutely perfect here. We both loved our pizzas and also sampled each others pies and really enjoyed them as well. Everybody in the restaurant was super nice and helpful, the pizzas were perfectly crafted and we definitely will be coming back. read more

New owners recently took over and have been making some positive changes. When I use to work at the local hospital a few years ago I would order from there once in a while and it was ok, nothing special. A friend recently recommended that I try it again. We have ordered pizza twice in the last month or so and this is one of my favorite pizza places now. They have some great specials. Their pizza is a thinner crust and not too much cheese. Delicious!! This is by far the best pizza in Peterborough. It's the crust, which is thin and crispy, not like the typical New England doughy style. Plus they always have some interesting combinations which are always worth trying. The service is friendly and fast. The seating area is small, but clean, and might not have enough seating for a large group. read more

We've had 2 bad experiences recently at Grappelli's. The first was a Hawaiian pizza which had almost no toppings at all. yesterday we had steak and cheese subs and I swear someone must have knocked over a 1 pound container of salt into the fillings. It was so salty that it was practically inedible. I was surprised because the food used to be good. read more

Not a great visit. Ordered 7 items, 2 subs, 2 chic tenders with fries, 2 cheese sticks, and 1 chix pesto calzone. The last 3 were basically gross. Check out the picture of the cheese sticks. Self explanatory. Smushed doughy and greasy. The chix pesto calzone was more like a ke onion pesto calzone. It looked like two full size onions were in it. Totally gross. read more

The new owners have me visiting Grappellis once again. Almost weekly now, lol. I love the Vidalia Onion pizza, bbq chicken as well as a lot of the other specialty pizzas. Their slice offering selection is well rounded and always fresh. Service is always friendly and as fast as possible. They have been excellent at remaining open and serving our town during these uncertain times. They even managed a small renovation/update. The new owners have been working hard to keep this 30 year business going. If you've haven't been to Grappellis recently, give them another shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

Best New York style pies in the area. There's something about that thinner crust and the ability to fold that really makes a pizza delicious. I do wish they would experiment with some better ingredients too as I'd pay more and come back more frequently for a few "D.O.P." pie options with fresh basil, higher grade mozzarella or sauce etc... but it's still great to have this here. read more

If you haven't been to Grappelli's in the past few months, you need to order from them immediately! They've added some awesome new items and Luke is a creative genius when it comes to pizza. They definitely have the best pizza in town; some of my favorites are the Bianca Black Garlic, Buffalo Chicken, and the Pesto Chicken pizza!
