It was pretty quiet for a lunch time, but the host was very friendly and helpful. No buffet, but that is a good thing. There's a buffet down the road. The chicken in both of our dishes was real chicken. Like good chicken that when you cut, you could see the grain of the meat. And it was a good sized portion. We were both very happy with our orders. My only wish is that the dishes could have been a little saucier. I don't know why this place has such a low score, but I feel like if you tried it in the past and didn't like it, you should try it again.

That's unusual customer service, at least to start. Once they get you seated and take your order, you're on your own though . . . unless a random person from wait staff sees you trying to get attention. Order? Wait. Get your drink? Wait. Get your check? Wait. Want to give your answer when asked "how was everything"? Wait. On the day I was there, there was a buffet. I did not partake of that but instead ordered off the menu. Maybe it's because the kitchen staff was busy restocking the buffet, but while the main entree -- the fish -- was fine, the accompaniments were not-so-good. The coleslaw tasted "off" and was room temperature and the twice-baked potato was overcooked and cold. As long as your expectations remain reasonable, RiverEdge will meet them.

I see reviews and heard people talking about the salad bar. It's like really bad bag salad, very ripe, fake crab calls, soggy pickled cucumbers, etc. I just can't. The hot food was really salty rehydrated fake mashed potatoes other high sodium overcooked things like mac & cheese people do like the fish. I just it was overdone and everything else was deep-fried. The shrimp might've been tiny by a shrimp, but it was all bread and everything was very bad.
