Waited 2 hours for two crappy pizzas the taco pizza was the worst it was cold and every vegetable on top of it was wilted it appeared that it had been sitting for at least an hour. My grandchildren wouldn't even eat it. I would definitely not recommend this place. read more

We came here on a bad day. In general, I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, but I have to review things based upon what I see, and not what I wish I would've seen or experienced. In general, I like Pizza Ranch, in spite of the sanctimonious music and mission.* We came here on the Fourth of July while traveling and we were glad that they were open on a holiday. However, at least some of the staff were visibly unhappy about being there that day, with the exception of our server. The food was largely hit or miss and mostly miss. The canned corn was absolutely disgusting and dried out to a shocking extreme. The salad bar cucumbers had an odd and fishy flavor to them, though the lettuce was fresh. Waffle fries were old and lukewarm. Some breadsticks were fresh, whereas others were well past their prime. Out of respect to the location, I didn't take pictures of the food on the buffet, so that they wouldn't possibly be taken out of context, but if this is the norm, this does not bode well. Manager rude and made comment that my child whos 8 yrs old came up to get a bun by himself.? Most food dried up. Cooks and staff rude and joking when they should have been cooking. Tables dirty and there weren't many customers, so im not sure of what the hold up was on cleaning and food prepared for said buffet. Waited for the chicken, the pizza etc, which should have been plenty out. Do not bother with this place. read more

My kids love this chain and I hate buffets due to the concept of people thinking they need to gorge themselves to get their moneys worth. We fought going for so long but finally broke down as 2/3 kids were requesting it as their birthday meal we went on a Sunday early evening and were greeted by an awkward person who assumed we knew what to say so didn't initiate any conversation. We decided on 6 buffets that rang up as just under $100 before prompted tip. They handed us our glasses with no other instructions. The place was filled with elderly and large people. The pizzas were all cold and strange flavors with no labels. I had a very bland jalapeño cheese possibly pizza fry and attempted to prepare a nutritious salad but only had iceberg mix with topping options. I grabbed a fried chicken breast and a piece of what appeared to be a thin crust tomato spinach pizza and headed to the table. Also the only diet soda offering is coke or Sprite Zero. Salad was ok but poor texture. Chicken breast was moist with great flavor but extremely salty tasting. The fact that Christian music Was playing seemed very odd for a public chain restaurant but I thought maybe it was just because it was Sunday. I was going to ask on the way out but figured it out for myself when there's was a posted story about the devote Christian owner and free Christian literature. We grabbed some out of curiosity and to say the views were extreme is an understatement. I will not be returning for my kids to consume too many ounces of sugar soda, followed by dessert pizza, and ice cream. My nephew reminded us that at most places the cashier asks what kind of pizza you want and makes that which did not occur. After receiving bad service and a bad meal, the manager offered a $35 gift card as compensation. Albeit this was in the spring, and covid kept us in until recently. When I went to Pizza Ranch to redeem the gift card I was told that that manager no longer worked there so they wouldn't honor the card. Took my family of 5 to Pizza Ranch for our first visit since they opened. We walked in about 5 pm. Only a handful of tables were available. As anyone knows, this is prime time for buffet goers as the food comes quickly and is always hot. We helped ourselves to the beverage area. I grabbed a clean plate and saw that the pizza bar was empty. An employee assured me that there were half a dozen pizzas coming in a few minutes. I filled a plate with salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some chicken. It was delicious. Tender chicken, potatoes and gravy were flavorful, and a typical salad. On my next trip, the pizza was out and piping hot. I snagged a slice of chicken bacon ranch and pepperoni. The crust reminded me of a pizza hut pan pizza. It was buttery, crispy and oh so good. After devouring those, I went back for another slice, but it was gone. Again, an employee assured me that they were cutting another batch of pizzas and to give them a minute. I filled my soda and as promised, another compliment of all new pizza combinations were waiting me. I was getting pretty full, but found room for one last piece of pizza. This time, I spied a strange combo.... Sausage gravy breakfast pizza! Well wouldn't you know it, it also was delicious! As far as service, we had our plates cleared twice while we were visiting and the manager stopped and asked how our food was. The employees were attentive to the needs of the customer letting me know the time until fresh pizza was coming. Kids and wife enjoyed the ice cream and dessert pizzas. I was too full for dessert! My dad wanted to try this place out since it had recently opened in the area. The restaurant was in the same vicinity as the Target, Goodwill, and Dollar Tree stores, so it was easy to find as well as find parking. Once through the double doors, we walked down a narrow walk way, much like the entrance to a Crack Barrel to pay for our pizza buffet. Along the way were memorabilia that resembled a "ranch" from the south with horses, boots, cowboy hats, etc. After paying for our meal, we were sent into a "back room" to be seated. The main room had tables that seated on average 4 people... so with the 10 people in my party, we got a "back room". Once we were seated and drink orders were taken, we went to grab our plates and start the buffet. The buffet was a sad 3 stand buffet, one stand dedicated to custom pizza's that seemed as though they had been sitting out for quite some time. The other stand was dedicated to deserts ranging from cookies cakes. The last stand, consisted of fried chicken, chicken with BBQ sauce, mashed potatoes, salad bar fixings, and corn. I had about two plates of chicken and mashed potatoes and called it quits after that. Our drinks (water) were not refilled nor were we served at all during our 30 minutes there. For a an establishment offering pizzas, you think they would offer more than just 3-4 pizza varieties... I would rather go to a Pizza Hut lunch buffet before considering coming back here. read more

The customer service has gone down bad for this place! We went there yesterday around 130pm, since we had the day off of work, and there was no school due to the MLK holiday. You would think they would plan accordingly If they paid attention to school holidays, but they were extremely understaffed and those that were working were rude. There was one scoop of brown lettuce on the salad bar, and no ranch dressing, just two empty bottles. Three pieces of chicken were on the buffet , and one of the soda machines was broken, parts from the ice machine part were laying on the tray. About 50% of the tables needed to be cleared and there were no empty tables for anyone. One man with four kids stood around trying to get a table cleared and was treated HORRIBLY by an employee named Barb. While she was clearing his table he tried to make small talk with her and she loudly said to him (in front of his kids and several other customers) that she 'didn't have time to talk about it!'. This was one of two rude comments I overheard her day. I felt truly sorry for this man, who had every right to be upset that he just paid good money for hIm and his whole family to eat there, then had to stand around for close to 10 min and wait with 4 small children, and then when he tries to commiserate with the employee is talked down to like that. Also, the employee working at collecting money at the front was rude as well, barely doing her job and not speaking at all unless she absolutely had to, no niceties, just started at me until I said, "two adults and one child". VERY UNCOMFORTABLE....no customer service skills at all. If you are that understaffed, for whatever reason, then you STOP selling buffet seats and get the place under control. I will not be back anytime soon, if ever.. this place is not cheap enough to eat to put up with this kind of service. read more

Service is always excellent. Pizza is great and you can request any kind and they will make it and bring you the first slice. Other options include full salad bar as well as soup. Fried chicken, barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, biscuits, fries, onion rings.... The choices are excellent. read more

I visited Pizza Ranch for the first time ever last night. Walked in to this clean, neat appearing restaurant on Friday night, about 645pm. We had the buffet, I don't know the exact price per person, but our bill was $45ish for 4 people so like $11 and some change for a buffet of pizza, chicken, fish, deserts. I feel I got my moneys worth. The food was really tasty, I like they have various flavors of pizza that are not just the common pepperoni, sausage etc. Well, they have those, but they had some odd ones like bacon chicken, breakfast pizza, mexican pizza, etc. Just some off the wall stuff you don't see everyday. I found the pizza portion of the buffet to be a little under stocked, but I don't hold it against them because it was fairly busy and the stuff that was there was reasonably fresh. One thing I was a little surprised, I loaded a few of these things on my plate, I thought they were boneless chicken wings. When I bit into them, I was surprised to find it was deep fried, breaded fish. I don't know how they got fish on the buffet that tastes to fresh... but it was really good despite not having any tartar sauce(not that I really looked, but I like a little tartar with them). Fora guy that is not really that into buffet's, I have to rate this very highly. The place is clean, modern, attractive. The food exceeded my expectations. The price was reasonable. A recipe for success in Central Wisconsin. Pizza Ranch will be a fixture here for a long time, no doubt. read more

As a mother with two young kids Pizza Ranch is usually our go to place when we want to ear out. The last few times the place has not been the cleanest. I figured this was due to the amount of people in the place. However, we stopped in this evening to celebrate my youngest birthday and it was not that excited. He was so excited to have them sing him happy birthday and hear the cow bells. To his great disappointment they never came and sang to him. When I went to ask about it there wasn't an employee in site. After waiting for five minutes for the owner or any staff member to come out of the kitchen, I finally gave up as the kids were ready to leave. Besides forgetting to sing him happy birthday the place was filthy. The air vents all had dust bunnies and the tiles surrounding them were disgusting. I was glad it was freezing in there because I feared if the heat kicked on we would be showered with the dust from the vents. While we use to be loyal customers and enjoyed eating there we won't be back till they clean the place up. read more

I visited pizza ranch awhile back with my dad when i was still living with him and I had a couple of slices of pizza off of there buffet line and one if them I went to bite into the crust because that's normally what I do when I'm eating pizza and I chipped my front tooth on top and it kept chipping afterwards. Good price, good buffet size and selection .. wife loves it, but the pizza crust is always either greasy or dried out, and I sometimes get a stomach ache afterwards ... My GF and I went here tonight and I was very happy. The service, atmosphere and Food were excellent. 2 people's bill came to $22.00 and was well worth it. The variety of pizza was great and their chicken is just as good as kfc. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant... not your typical old food buffet that sits very long. read more

I LOVE the food here. They should call it Chicken Ranch because the chicken is sometimes even better than the pizza. I think that the staff being mostly young kids and it being a new restaurant would contribute to the previous bad reviews. Every new place has their hiccups. I've been here several times and the food is always fresh, fast, and delicious. I've talked to the owners before and they were very nice and accommodating. I've made recommendation to them about moving the salad bar for a better people and they said they were already doing it. read more

i have ordered from them twice, both times my orders have been wrong. the first time they forgot out order, and when they finally brought the rest of it. the chicken wings were under cooked and bloody. today i ordered a 2 pc chx meal with xtra butter. snf a salt and pepper packet. they only delivered the meal without any condiments. when i called, they brought the butter frozen and 2 pods. that was anough to butter and destroy the bun that came with the meal. i was charged for xtra butter. i give up. read more

Ate there on the evening of 10/11. The food was disgusting. Buffet was nasty, chicken was burned so bad it was as hard as a rock. Despite customers complaining, the bad chicken was left out. I'd be embarrassed to leave that out. We asked for fresh chicken, they came out with ONE PIECE. We have a family of three here. Maybe we can share the one piece, and each get a bite. Buffet was a mess, Salad dressings were spilled all over the place, and ladels were mixed up. My wife gets sick with certain sweeteners, she ate salad without the dressing in fear that diet dressing got mixed up with regular. We were there for about an hour, the soup was empty. The soup container was dried out, and it looked as if it was out for at least a few hours before we got there. The pizza buffet had limited options. They were busy when we got there, and only two or three pieces of pizza were on the entire buffet. We did have them custom make a Wildfire Pizza, and a Texan Pizza.. It took about 35 minutes.. The pizza was OK, but a little late we were already filled up, we didn't eat very much of it. .I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe the place is OK to go there for lunch.. They do have a pretty good amount of good reviews, but I would avoid a Saturday night when the place gets slammed. I probably will not be coming back. read more
