I grew up in Anna, so I may be biased, but this is by far the best pizza I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of pizza all over the place. I make sure to get it every time I'm back in Anna, and crave it all the time when I'm not. I only wish I could give them 10 stars! Even after decades this is still the best pizza by far in Southern Illinois (Dad's in Goreville in the 90's was a close runner up). When I come back home I make is a priority to get a few pizzas and some Italian beef sandwiches. If you are even remotely near Anna and have the need to eat then you must try Pizza Villa...you won't be disappointed. Pleasantly surprised. Love the vibe from the outside, takes you back to the "days of old." You go inside and definitely has a family vibe with a small play area for young kids off to the side. The pizza is simply the best I have had since moving to southern Illinois. Their sauce and crust both are absolutely delicious. read more

Great Italian beef sandwiches and really great pizza one of my favorite spots in Anna I'd recommend it to anyone

My first thought upon arriving was OMG! Upon walking in my impression was it was 1/2 day care &1/2 pizza pallor. The staff was friendly. Seems to be a family business. The pizza was cut in to squares and for someone who grew up in the NY metro area that is sacrilegious. It was hand made and tasted OK but I can't say it's the best in S IL since I have nothing to compare it to. I must say it was a better then the fast food options in the area. read more

Drove family 2hrs to eat this pizza and well worth the drive. It's as unique and tasty as it gets and actually, even though not upscale at all, it's a neat retro atmosphere, ma-pop place to eat. Buy a two liter and pour into glass of ice yourself, and paper towel roll on your table. But, seriously, this pizza WILL be the best you have had and worth your drive! read more

I'm from the suburbs of Chicago and the pizza at Pizza Villa is as great as the best pizzerias up there. It's quite unique, too. I'm very glad to have family around Anna, IL so I can visit here again. :) read more

For my money, best pizza in the area. The sauce is the perfect amount of sweet, coupled with the perfect amount of zest. Doesn't look like much, but this guy has been slinging the best pies around for longer than I've been alive. A true diamond in the rough. read more

I have eaten here many times, both dining in and carryout. Today I took my 85 year old mother here for pizza. The food was good but ruined by having to listen to the foul mouthed kitchen staff. I can handle a little cursing but I was really put off by the f-bomb being dropped more than just a few times. I don't believe I will be returning there anytime soon if ever. While visiting on vacation we decided to try and Mom and pop pizza place instead of a major chain to enjoy a nice lunch. When we walked in we were greeted by a very young girl sitting at the counter (couldn't have been more than 13 years old). The interior of the restaurant is very outdated and dirty. We ordered water and the young girl brought 2 cups of ice and a pitcher of water and asked what we wanted to eat? We ordered an order of cheese bread sticks and a medium pepperoni pizza. She wrote our order down and headed back to the semi open kitchen. She told the cook our order and he repeated it back to her " order of cheese bread and a medium pepperoni pizza " He then told her that she needed to make our cheese bread, so at that point I began to worry given that she is so young and I can guarantee that she didn't wash her hands at all ( I was seated in clear sight of the kitchen sink). It took her a few minutes to make our cheese bread. After she brought us our cheese bread I overheard her saying to the cook in the back that she hadn't slept well the night before because she was sick and was sick to her stomach the night before! Then the pizza arrived and when we first saw it we noticed that there was no pepperoni on the pizza at all. So I went up to the front desk to make sure that our order was correct because I had heard her tell him (the cook) the order and he repeated it back to her! He responded with " Oh crap man that's my bad, I only made a cheese pizza! Do you want me to throw some pepperoni's on a plate for ya? I told him no that it was ok but I just wanted it adjusted on the ticket so we wouldn't be charged for a pepperoni when we only received a cheese. He said ok and apologized again. So when we finished our food I went back up to pay and he (the cook) rang us up for a cheese bread and a pepperoni pizza! I reminded him that we only got a cheese pizza and that he would adjust it off. He then said that he would keep the pizza the same but comp the cheese bread which was ok but we were very disappointed in the service and not sure what the legality of a young teen working and cooking people's food. Overall the pizza did taste ok but the environment and the service were enough to ruin the experience. read more
