This is the third time I've stopped in here. I feel like I've had my share of pizza from the DC Area by way of NYC. I do not understand why this place doesn't have five stars. While visiting family in Cambridge we decided to order pizza from Pizza Ziya. Read the reviews before ordering and made the decision to try. This was the best decision we could've made! Ordered a "make it your own pizza" and literally just finished eating and it was on par with some of the better pizzas I've eaten. Suggestions: - Add the option when ordering online for a "regular crust". Online only gives options for "gluten free" and "thin" crust. I had to call to ask if there was a "regular crust" option - After picking up my order saw that there were coupons that, if I would have seen these on the website, I would have definitely ordered more. As a customer I felt like I didn't have the CHOICE to get a deal and CHOOSE to spend more. Overall, I recommend Pizza Ziya based on the pizza I had today (Large / Regular Crust / Extra Pizza Sauce / Ground Beef / Sweet Peppers). Would leave 0 stars if possible. Found hair in our pizza, told the waitress who walked away without acknowledging it, then returning with the bill without saying a word. We got up to pay and talk to the manager who also did not acknowledge it. We informed him of the hair and he brushed it off and acused us of the hair.. "ironic it was on the last slice" - even though it was not. Refused to make things right or extend an offer of goodwill for a few bucks off the bill.. This is the second time I ordered from Ziya's, or tried to order. The first time I ordered, about 2 years ago, everything was at least $more than what was on the menu. Ok, pandemic, it happens. The portions were small, and I had a very dry cheesesteak. I decided to try again today. The kids wanted pizza, and I wanted a vegetable calzone, which is on the online menu. Would not recommend this place for at all. There is a $4.00 delivery charge added to your total, without letting you know. I ordered a simple turkey sub with extra pickels added. I was charged $1.20 and they weren't even on there. I don't mind if I am not paying for them, no big deal, but to charge and not add them is rediculous. I order delivery from here all the time. I'm a big fan of the gyro. Every time I've had it the veggies were so fresh and crisp. I like that the sauce comes on the side so I can put it on when it arrives rather than it getting soggy. My other favorite is the cheese fries. My kids like the pepperoni pizza. The delivery is always fast and the driver is always on it. Definitely get you some Pizza Ziya if you're hungry. I was not really impressed with this place . My husband and I went there for pizza and only wanted two slices and was told they don't have any slices. What pizzeria on a Friday night doesn't have pizza made and ready for customers. We decided to try other food which was a bad idea. My cheese Fries were burnt and my calzone was mushy. My family was staying at the Hyatt Chesapeake Hotel and wanted to find affordable food so we checked out Pizza Ziya based on the reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor. We were very happy with our food there. We had a mushroom and cheese pizza. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. My son even ate the crust, which he usually NEVER does. It was a basic crust--not too chewy or thick. This is the kind of pizza place that every town should have--nothing fancy, but very good and fresh food. Service was good too. It's unfortunate to leave this review as their pizza is fair. However, the lady taking the order, management and their marketing brochures are not in sync with each other. We were under the impression of receiving wings with our order. After calling the establishment we were told we were wrong and there was no reasoning whatsoever. Many establishment get food orders wrong, it's the nature of the business. What separates the good businesses and this business is the unwillingness to work things out and work through the error. They were not; not the lady, not the management and certainly not their incorrect marketing. If you elect to do business here, you may be held hostage for their mistake and left feeling unfulfilled. This is my first review EVER, just to give you an idea of the amount of disdain I am currently feeling. Judging by the reviews, this place should be closed for good. This is the second time I've ordered delivery. The first time it took forever and the food was ehh. Against my better judgement, I just ordered again tonight. The delivery was fast but they call this a GYRO!? Gyro's are known for their -make your breath reek- flavor, but this was offensively bland, like no effort to satisfy the customer in the least. Isn't this joint greek owned?? Their ancestors would be ashamed. "Special cucumber sour cream", yep, that's all it was alright. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Fries were cold and undercooked. My family and I stayed at the Hyatt recently and we decided to order-in one one of the nights we were there. That was a huge mistake!!!! We are all sick!!! We ordered a pizza and a chicken entree. The grilled chicken wasn't chicken at all! It was processed chicken strips! The pizza looked ok but must have had something wrong with it because both my husband and daughter "kissed the porcelain" several times that night.
