The food is great. Trying to catch them when they're open is difficult. Short hours when the store is open (only weekends). Also, they open and shut down the store on Race routinely. Service was fairly quick and hostesses were friendly. Food was pretty mid. Mac and cheese was good, but not for the price they were charging. Chicken was just sliced grilled chicken on top. Brisket was dry, not juicy, no smoke ring, failed the flop test. Pork was dry and needed to be drenched in sauce. Waffle fries were nice and crispy. I don't know how hubby finds these places, but he wins again for finding this spot. We stopped in here after cruising on a paddle boat so hubby could enjoy a nice meal. We didn't notice parking nearby till later, but parked around the corner from the spot. We came and waited to be seated, but the young lady advised us to sit anywhere. I quickly excused myself to find the restroom. I truly appreciated to find the restrooms were gender neutral friendly. Upon my return hubby ordered me the pretzel amd then ordered the brisket which came with two sides( collards and fries). The pretzel was served first, and it was served very hot amd fresh. The cheese sauce was a nice touch. While waiting I got to see this place has been rewarded for several years in a row, "the best." I can definitely see and taste why!!! I got to taste a bit of hubby's food, and can say we will definitely be back and bring friends and family. I know inflation is hitting everything, but the portion size could have been more fitting. And what can I say...This little piggy (aka yours truly) went to the market and didn't cry all the way home...instead I cried tears of joy after the meat fell right off the bone the second I pierced my pearly whites into your perfectly smoked, insanely succulent sow! The sauces were few, which made me go "phew" (in my head) bc there's nothing more annoying than going to a BBQ joint having to try 154 sauces to find the "perfect" condiment! The best part of your sauce selection? They were all great!!! So what did I do? I squeezed a three-neck waterway all over my ribs, creating a stream of "deliciousness." The sides were on point! My boyfriend tends to be a better orderer than I am...this time was no different. He couldn't get enough Mac (because we'll, duh!!), so he ordered another massive pile (that I personally made a dent in when he wasn't looking) along with a quite tasty tray of Cole slaw. He slurped up every last cabbage strand right after he gave me a teeny bite (bc he wanted it all to himself!) I got the collards -- and I must say they were very flavorful. Why you might ask? Oh because brisket was infused in with them! Yum! I also got a nice load of Thanksgiving-inspired stuffing! I allowed my boyfriend to have one bite and he instantly said, "Wow! Tastes just like Mom's." His mom is a great cook, so if that isn't a great compliment, I don't know what is! After everything being 100% scrumptious, we can't wait to try more!!! Upon entering the restaurant, I was not greeted with the smell of smoky barbeque, there were more employees than customers. Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing but neither of us enjoyed the food. I was not enthralled with their brisket burger. There was no robust beef flavor and did not taste brisket. The bun was not freshly baked it was served on a Martins potato roll. I didn't feel the burger was worthy of $12.50 burger. SMH The beach fries were not hot and were reheated in the deep fryer giving an oilier French fry taste. RAR Nanticoke Nectar on tap was nice, and the restaurant was decorated nicely. Sadly, no rush to return. read more

When you come in, you already smell like you are in a smoke house, which is a very good sign. The menu is not too broad, which is a good sign--that they focus on the important stuff and what they know. We were there a bit later in the evening, so the place was not crowded. Did not know this place existed until we were told by a friend. We love brisket. This place did not disappoint. I got their platter of brisket, with Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The brisket melted in my mouth. I just wish their was more of it. The Mac and cheese and coleslaw was pretty good. The star was the brisket though. They had three types of sauces at the table but the brisket flavor did not need a sauce. I did get a Golden Hill. It is deep fried corn bread with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with honey, and whipped cream. It was pretty tasty but the price, ouch. So I am correlating my awesome brisket with the price. Yelp helped me locate Lil' Bitta Bull BBQ in the quaint little town of Cambridge. I was a bit surprised when I saw the place was practically empty especially as the town was quite active given the real nice weather outside and the fact that they are walking distance to RaR Brewing. I can't say that I smelled BBQ like most places you walk into but I went ahead and ordered the burnt ends and essentially a 1/2 dry rub rack of ribs. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our order which was to go and proceeded down to the waterside to enjoy our BBQ. The ribs were cooked well and had a nice color and dry rub mix but we had also picked up some side sauces to use for those. Of the 3 sauces that we had only the red sauce called Sweet Smokey was for our palate, the other two Old Yeller and Pig Sauce were a mustard style and vinegar style sauces respectively. My burnt ends were not burnt at all which was very disappointing - not even a little bit of crunch. Two pieces of the serving that I received in fact were nothing but gristle. The plus side is that the flavor was great, but I do not think that this Q was even prepared over a pit rather most likely a commercial kitchen smoker. All barbecue places carry the easy stuff like pulled pork and ribs. The hard stuff is the beef. The first measure is brisket. Is it sliced? Decent BBQ joints slice when cooked correctly. When it's been chopped or cubed, it's usually over cooked. This place nailed it and...we were the last customers of the night which usually means dry meat. Not this time. Even though we had the last of the days brisket, it was still moist with the correct amount of fat. Now, the second part of the equation is all about the sauce!! NOT!! If you need sauce, the meat has not been cooked well. Again...this place nailed it and needed NO SAUCE!! Finally...the true measure of a REAL BBQ joint is Burnt Ends. If you don't know what they are, this is the time to try them. Properly cooked burnt ends will be cubed and have a caramelized coating that becomes "candy-like". Guess what...this place nailed that too!!! If you are staying at the Hyatt Chesapeake or on your way "down the ocean", stop by and find this place. You won't be sorry!!! I can understand the limited hours and only being open 3 days a week because it's a quiet town. But if you're gonna do that, at least plan ahead and have your main menu item available! My colleague and I were craving ribs today, so got in about 11:55 for lunch. We both ordered 5-rib with 2 sides, waitress returned a couple minute later to inform us that the ribs have only cooked for 2 hours and aren't ready yet. C'mon, seriously? You're a BBQ rib place! Ordered ribs for take out and let me tell you! These are the best ribs I've had in a long time, didn't even need sauce and I love sauce on my ribs. The meat just falls right off the bone. For my sides I got the Mac & cheese, which was really good. The greens had a sweetness that I'm not used to, but they were still pretty good. Also, the sweet tea has the perfect amount of sweetness. Ok, so I'm stopping mid-meal in the car to write this review. I just finished the Burnt Ends (which I did not want to share - take their advice and order two) and sweet creeping Jesus! I suspected it's distance from Rt. 50 was a good omen but I was completely blown away. Standing at the counter the server remarked that I must be a returning customer since I was able to order as soon as I walked in. I answered that I wasn't, I will be now, that I'd used Yelp to look at their menu. The owners were at a nearby table and the wife remarked that she was excited that I hadn't yet had the best barbecue of my life yet. She said her husband was the cook and she'd married him for his barbecue. I thought this was all a little pride of ownership but if anything she undersold it. Found this gem, at the final hour before their closing. Outdoor seating set up in their parking lot. 6 feet distant tables but pretty full. Almost all out in their meat. Ordered brisket, loaded french fries and pork mac and cheese. Service was amazing (our receipt says Jeannie). She was juggling multiple customers, masks on, got us water (even for our dog) and sold us amazing desserts at the end (honey glazed corn bread ice cream and bread pudding eith creme). Went for carry out since we don't eat on during Covid. Great service, friendly staff and fast service. We both had St. Louis ribs with sides of Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. The sides were fantastic, the ribs were tender and meaty. My only negative was I think someone used the wrong measurements for the bbq rub. It was so salty we had to scrape the rib off for the ribs to be edible. Everything else was so good that the over-salty rib had to be a mistake! Any time I'm out of town, have to travel for any reason, I find a local BBQ restaurant to try. I judge the place by their brisket. Secondarily, their ribs, burnt ends, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, and last, the sides. Yes, it's the Holy Grail, the standard by which a place is made, or unmade. I spent a week in Memphis, Tennessee, and sampled real BBQ from every corner of the city. Had BBQ all over Maryland. Virginia. West Virginia. Delaware. Pennsylvania. Indiana, Ohio, Maine. Michigan. Rhode Island. Massachusetts. And more. If I want consistently excellent brisket, I should stay closer to home. Lil Bitta Bull in Cambridge, Maryland, is unbeatable. No reason to go anywhere else and be disappointed. This is the place to go! The brisket melts in your mouth, not overly salty, and rarely too much fat. It's packed onto a good quality roll, not a cheap bun. A brisket sandwich alone is $12, and sides run $3 to $4. Fries are hand sliced and cooked in peanut oil, just like the boardwalk. Usually a decent portion, although occasionally a bit small. The Mac and cheese is excellent, very rich and creamy, and the baked beans have a smooth smoky flavor. You can't go wrong with the pulled pork either; plenty of smoke and very tender. Burnt ends are some of my favorites, when available. The sauce perfectly complements the smoky meat. I love the smoked prime rib sandwiches, at bargain at $10! But the standard roll is too delicate to handle the slab of meat. I'd prefer it either sliced thin and piled on the roll, or use a different, sturdier bread. Eating in, with a knife and fork, it's excellent, but I don't recommend ordering this sandwich to eat on the run. Just falls apart in your hand. A sandwich, fries and a soft drink will run about $18 to $20, but this is top quality food, and you will not be disappointed or hungry afterward. There's always innovative specials such as pulled pork tacos, stuffed potatoes and so on, at times he has featured home made bacon and sausage, which I haven't had the chance to try yet. A local success story where a husband and wife team has gone from running a food truck serving great barbecue to a newly rehab restaurant in town serving excellent barbecue. The restaurant is complemented by a full bar and a legitimate bartender. This family run business takes great pride and providing excellent customer service and they strive to make all their customers feel welcomed. The four of us were their last week on a Saturday night and had a combination of pulled pork and brisket. All of us we are completely satisfied with our meals, the pulled pork and brisket are some of the best I've ever had. They offer four or five sides that are all homemade, my wife raved about the sweet potato casserole and the coleslaw is just as I like it, made with mayonnaise and vinegar. I ate here Eagleman weekend and we were seated very quickly which was nice and the service was quick and efficient. I loved that they had a custom Eagleman sign put up for the weekend. I wasn't a huge fan of the collard greens, the only veggie on the menu, which are cooked in brisket fat. I would love to see some corn on the cob or corn and a green veggie without so much fat. Everything about this place is super. It's casual in feel, warm in hospitality, diverse in customer base, and clean/cool in look. We asked a group of locals what we should get, and they emphatically said "brisket." They were NOT wrong.
