A small unassuming place in a small town along the eastern shore. Lovely staff with great BBQ. Nice comfy dark wooden interior with full bar. Unique about this place is they support triathlon athletes. Interesting. If you have time walk the small quaint town after you've had your fill of good BBQ.

I don't know how hubby finds these places, but he wins again for finding this spot. We stopped in here after cruising on a paddle boat so hubby could enjoy a nice meal. We didn't notice parking nearby till later, but parked around the corner from the spot. We came and waited to be seated, but the young lady advised us to sit anywhere. I quickly excused myself to find the restroom. I truly appreciated to find the restrooms were gender neutral friendly. Upon my return hubby ordered me the pretzel amd then ordered the brisket which came with two sides( collards and fries). The pretzel was served first, and it was served very hot amd fresh. The cheese sauce was a nice touch. While waiting I got to see this place has been rewarded for several years in a row, "the best." I can definitely see and taste why!!! I got to taste a bit of hubby's food, and can say we will definitely be back and bring friends and family. I know inflation is hitting everything, but the portion size could have been more fitting. The brisket was cooked to perfection and no sauce was needed. The servers were amazing and super sweet and kind. They truly know how to make guests feel welcome from beginning to end. So if you are looking for some BBQ ... run on down and get some from here asap!!

Really delicious food! Between the 4 of us we ordered Wings, chicken, tacos, and burnt ends all tasty, and the chorizo corn appetizer was SO good.

There's only one time -- and one time only -- that I want a "lil Bitta bull"... It's when some hare-brained nincompoop is feeding me a fish story the size of Moby Dick's, well, ya know, tail... (In case you're wondering, it's BIG...like 15-feet-long BIG...). But I always -- and I mean always -- want a "whole lotta bull" when it comes in any form of mouth-watering bovine rations from your kitchen. From the moment my boyfriend and I sat down, I knew we were in for a real treat. Not only was our waitress, Savannah P., as sweet and as charming as a bubbly Southern Belle two mint juleps in, but she fed me a "lil bitta bull" when she "claimed" to be shocked that we were close to 40! Even after glimpsing at his salt and pepper beard and listening to my grandma-like antics as I pinched her cheek (haha...just kidding), she still carded us when we ordered our drinks. Savannah P. is one smart cookie--and that ain't no bull! Because she fed our egos first and foremost, which meant one thing--her tip was about to be as big as our appetites! And boy were they ginormous... After putting our cobwebbed licenses back in our dusty wallets, we couldn't wait to dive headfirst into a massive bowl of your brisket-infused mac and cheese. Why? Because anything smothered in cheese is always a good idea. Always. But, I've gotta say that most restaurant mac and cheese is usually nothing to write home about. Yet, after one bite of yours, I was about to create a saw mill inside your adorable "lil" dining room and process all the tables and chairs into paper, so I could pen letters to all my friends, family members, co-workers, the seven dwarves (even Grumpy) and all the Duggars, telling them to never let another macaroni noodle touch their tongue again--unless you boiled it and smothered it in your proprietary cheesy concoction!!! Bottom line: Your mac and cheese is the best I've had in any restaurant. Period. Though we were so full, we couldn't get enough of dat bull! (I'm a poet and didn't even know it...lol). We both got the half rack of ribs! And what can I say...This little piggy (aka yours truly) went to the market and didn't cry all the way home...instead I cried tears of joy after the meat fell right off the bone the second I pierced my pearly whites into your perfectly smoked, insanely succulent sow! The sauces were few, which made me go "phew" (in my head) bc there's nothing more annoying than going to a BBQ joint having to try 154 sauces to find the "perfect" condiment! The best part of your sauce selection? They were all great!!! So what did I do? I squeezed a three-neck waterway all over my ribs, creating a stream of "deliciousness." The sides were on point! My boyfriend tends to be a better orderer than I am...this time was no different. He couldn't get enough Mac (because we'll, duh!!), so he ordered another massive pile (that I personally made a dent in when he wasn't looking) along with a quite tasty tray of Cole slaw. He slurped up every last cabbage strand right after he gave me a teeny bite (bc he wanted it all to himself!) I got the collards -- and I must say they were very flavorful. Why you might ask? Oh because brisket was infused in with them! Yum! I also got a nice load of Thanksgiving-inspired stuffing! I allowed my boyfriend to have one bite and he instantly said, "Wow! Tastes just like Mom's." His mom is a great cook, so if that isn't a great compliment, I don't know what is! After everything being 100% scrumptious, we can't wait to try more!!! In fact, in the wise words of good ole "meathead" Arnold, Schwarzenegger, "we'll be backkkkkkkk" to "terminate" plate after plate!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was not greeted with the smell of smoky barbeque, there were more employees than customers. Perhaps we ordered the wrong thing but neither of us enjoyed the food. I was not enthralled with their brisket burger. There was no robust beef flavor and did not taste brisket. The bun was not freshly baked it was served on a Martins potato roll. I didn't feel the burger was worthy of $12.50 burger. SMH The beach fries were not hot and were reheated in the deep fryer giving an oilier French fry taste. RAR Nanticoke Nectar on tap was nice, and the restaurant was decorated nicely. Sadly, no rush to return.

Not sure you're going to find this kind of BBQ anywhere else around here. The brisket is my favorite. The meat is "falling apart on its own", it's that dang good. Portions are on the smaller side but nothing small about flavor. We had the root beers on this day and it had Honey in it. Rather interesting taste that I'd have again and again. Pretty cool space to eat in with bartop tables, booths, and a full wrap around bar. If you are local, this would be a great hang-out spot. Parking lot just 2 doors down with street parking at first-come-first-serve. Don't forget to add your "online-like" and watch the ticker tape change once your vote is counted. Get involved!!

Yelp helped me locate Lil' Bitta Bull BBQ in the quaint little town of Cambridge. I was a bit surprised when I saw the place was practically empty especially as the town was quite active given the real nice weather outside and the fact that they are walking distance to RaR Brewing. I can't say that I smelled BBQ like most places you walk into but I went ahead and ordered the burnt ends and essentially a 1/2 dry rub rack of ribs. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our order which was to go and proceeded down to the waterside to enjoy our BBQ. The ribs were cooked well and had a nice color and dry rub mix but we had also picked up some side sauces to use for those. Of the 3 sauces that we had only the red sauce called Sweet Smokey was for our palate, the other two Old Yeller and Pig Sauce were a mustard style and vinegar style sauces respectively. My burnt ends were not burnt at all which was very disappointing - not even a little bit of crunch. Two pieces of the serving that I received in fact were nothing but gristle. The plus side is that the flavor was great, but I do not think that this Q was even prepared over a pit rather most likely a commercial kitchen smoker. For the price I was hoping that this would have been more satisfying.

This is my second review. Still four stars! I just wanted to share the pics from this meal. The extreme grilled cheese is enormous! The brisket was very tender and flavorful. Vegetable also were delicious.

Visiting from Alexandria and self-proclaimed BBQ experts. We've tried it all in the DC area and this is another one to add to out top 5. Probably worth a day trip on the future. All barbecue places carry the easy stuff like pulled pork and ribs. The hard stuff is the beef. The first measure is brisket. Is it sliced? Decent BBQ joints slice when cooked correctly. When it's been chopped or cubed, it's usually over cooked. This place nailed it and...we were the last customers of the night which usually means dry meat. Not this time. Even though we had the last of the days brisket, it was still moist with the correct amount of fat. Now, the second part of the equation is all about the sauce!! NOT!! If you need sauce, the meat has not been cooked well. Again...this place nailed it and needed NO SAUCE!! Finally...the true measure of a REAL BBQ joint is Burnt Ends. If you don't know what they are, this is the time to try them. Properly cooked burnt ends will be cubed and have a caramelized coating that becomes "candy-like". Guess what...this place nailed that too!!! If you are staying at the Hyatt Chesapeake or on your way "down the ocean", stop by and find this place. You won't be sorry!!! Here are some menu pics!!

Good quality brisket. No wait on a Sunday in May. Definitely liked it. Sauce was ok but the meat compensates.

Overflow Cafe is 1 of my 20 favorite non-chain restaurants…read more This is one of the many local restaurants that I love for the concept but a lot more than that. The place is a ministry of sorts, as it's like the food version of a Christian Store, but less Bible thumpy, or as a paraphrase of their slogan says, "spreading the gospel through hospitality and love." How is this relevant to someone who doesn't want to go to a Christian restaurant? Very! You'll see Christian decor, and the "owner" (he hates titles, but he DID found the place) is a reverend, but they won't be preaching to you unless you ask of it. The best part restaurant-wise is that almost all funds for the place come from church offering, and the workers are volunteers, so you are basically paying for the food and nothing else. In other words, the food is worth half of what you're paying for! I got the most expensive sandwich, the Overflow Club, with pasta salad and a sweet tea all for about $9! On top of that, although a smaller server than I'd like (I got 2 of those cups) the pasta salad was the best pasta salad I've had in a while. While all surrounding restaurants will charge at least twice the price, Overflow Cafe supports the neighborhood with many different phenomenal events, cheaper price, and fantastic hospitality not ot mention great art! If you ever in Cambridge, go to 400 Muir Street for this experience. It's only coincidental that my journal (to the right of the table) is very fitting for this place haha.

We were seated right away. Our waitress Holly was attentive and knowledgeable. My husband ordered the Suicide Oysters and I ordered the Casino Clams for appetizers. I did not try his but mine were so small I had trouble finding the clam, and they smelled so much like feet. I think I had a different idea of Casino Clams, I was very disappointed. He also said his was nothing to write home about. I ordered the Delmonico Steak, he ordered the filet and we each added a lobster tail. Our steaks were wonderful. Cooked and seasoned perfectly - I'm still thinking about it haha! Our lobster tails on the other hand were so overcooked we had to basically swallow them whole. I ordered the potato of the day which was crazy potato's and the vegetable of the day which was kale -- both of those were ultimately great. Before we got our check we heard the waitress taking care of the table behind us mention dessert -- an eclair to be exact and I convinced my husband to get one -- it was either going to be really good or really bad judging by our experience. I wish I could tell you it was the most fabulous eclair I'd ever had and it made up for the $40 worth of terrible appetizers but that would be a lie :( It was huge, but it was frozen! I took it home to let it thaw out and the chocolate on top was still so thick 6hours later that I couldn't even bite into it. I had to flip it around and eat it with a fork on the side with the pastry. We expected so much more from this restaurant especially for what we paid. I'm not sure we have ever spent that much money at any restaurant for just the two of us EVER. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of my food, I didn't plan to leave a review!
