Our party of four enjoyed a "Fabulous Works" and a vegetarian thin crust pie. Delicious crust, perfectly baked with generous toppings. Excellent old school pizzas. Standard Crust is actually quite thick, and chewy...thin crust is a bit thicker than expected and far thicker than a typical New York crust. All very tasty. Good selection of reasonably priced beers on tap. Fast, friendly service, family run. Casual, well lit with generous seating. We would definitely recommend, and look forward to returning. read more

Really struggling to find something good to say about this place that seems to have so many good reviews, I don't get it. I didn't see it. I sure didn't taste it. Let's talk about the lady who answers the phone and you at the counter, all she knows how to say is sweetie. Hi honey, I love how she is referring to. The customers is a little weird, creepy. Ravioli with butter and garlic might as well make that be garlic cause that's all it was about garlic Ordered a thin crust, cheese, pizza, and my pizza ovens makes better pizza than that. First time here. Cute little place but a little dated and dull. We tried the wings and garlic bread first which were very good. The pizza was a little too dense and thick for my taste. Reminded me of a French bread pizza. The sauce, sausage and pepperoni were all good but I'd like to try the thin crust next time. Service was a bit slow. Great pizza, we have had dine in and take out. I preferred take out because we spent less time waiting, but I'm impatient. Atmosphere felt very small town, lots of regulars in on a Friday night. Service was good- our drinks were always kept full! We got hand tossed margarita pizza twice it was so delish! Big tomatoes, basil, and garlic! Ok, lets start with the positive. The young lady at the front counter who took my call & takes your money is and was on this occasion, very nice and polite. I am a local resident and order from here quite often. When I order, it is always a rather large order as I am feeding a family of 4. Unfortunately, after this experience, that has come to a crashing end. I ordered 3 large Pizzas with a variety of toppings so the cost wasn't cheap. But that's always expected and as someone who enjoys quality food, I am always willing to spend more to ensure that we get what we want. I always tip well as I understand that the servers work very hard for their living. I know I'm not alone when I say, "you get what you pay for". So, I arrived and 2 of the 3 pizzas were done so I agreed to pay while waiting for the last one to be completed. First mistake. I also left a tip, even for a to-go order, as is customary where I'm from. Second mistake. After reviewing the pepperoni order it was clear that the pizza was mishandled like it was dropped. It was oddly warped, cheese was sliding off in places and it was slightly overcooked. When paying nearly $80 for pizza, this is of course is unacceptable. I mentioned my concerns a couple of times to the nice front counter and she nervously shook it off as if she was hoping I was just to just let it go. She was so nervous that it was evident that it must be an issue to ever bring it to management. The ending would prove this to be so. After receiving the final pie, I again asked what accommodation would be made for the mistake on the pepperoni. She sheepishly went to the owner/manager/head cook who came to front counter in a rather aggressive manner. In a rather defensive and rude manner he asked me what the issue is. When I showed him the pizza he literally turned his head, threw up his hands and stared glaringly at me and said "what would you like me to do, make another one?" I more than calmly and politely explained that I have hungry children waiting so that wasn't an option. I simply want to be compensated as I'm not getting exactly what I ordered and not getting what I paid for. He literally turned his back, shook his head, and then told his counter employee to give me $2 off. I can assure you by his tone and demeanor it was meant to tell me to go "%$#& off". I grew up in the city and I'm well aware of the intention behind the gesture. Nothing I said even remotely deserved that. I was nothing but polite and kind, yet that's how I get treated after spending that kind of money? I know ran into ego & arrogance so my response was simple so I could get home to my hungry children. "Keep it & I won't be back". We never finished the pizzas and as promised, won't be back. I should have learned my lesson when I ordered the veal during one previous visit. Its pre-breaded, frozen cutlets & unless it's soaked in sauce, it's always dry. They're overpriced and the quality is dipping rapidly. It is unfortunate and I can honestly say that I gave them more than one opportunity to make it right. Third and final mistake. So, my recommendation, just avoid them altogether. WOW What a great tasting pizza! The sauce was perfect and the sausage was so flavorful, haven't had that taste in a very very long time!! Thin crust was cooked perfectly and of perfect consistency for a neopolitan style NY pizza! Service was good. Medium Antipasto salad was more than enough for 2 and a 3rd could have enjoyed it also! Horrible customer service. Messed up my pizza by not adding jalapeños before they cooked it, then just threw them on uncooked right before they handed it to me. I politely asked about the uncooked Jalapeños. And she offered no help and handed me the bill. They weren't even busy. read more

We went for dinner Saturday night around 6 pm. We had no idea that this place has been in business for 50 yrs. It was not crowded, we were seated right away. We ordered a bottle of Chianti for 27.00, we ordered a antipasto salad and a large thin crust pizza with sausage and mushroom. Everything was delicious. Try this place! We drive 45 minutes from Vistancia to Cave Creek just for this pizza! Thin crust with homemade sausage is the best! Get a pound or two of raw sausage to go for ur pizzas at home. We were at one of the two small tables they had out right outside the door where the moron no mask person stood . Covid is real.. three in my family have. We have tried both the thicker original crust and think crust and we prefer the thinner crust. It was very good and fresh tasting. It can be on the oily side which is maybe the only downside unless you like that. The crust seemed to have a garlicky flavor to it. We definitely order pizza for takeout if we are ever in the mood but they also have nice dining room that we have dined in at as well.
