Been here so many times, can't believe I never wrote a review. This is one of our weekend or Fri night family fun/ friend date or after sports event hang out spots. The pizza, wings and food are always a hit!! The atmosphere is always very friendly and it is always busy, we always take up most of the room anyways and it gets crowded sometimes. We have had a few selected nights where the staff looks irritated to help us move tables so we have done it ourselves but we let it go, we have had 2 times where they messed up our order but were so sweet to redo it and let us keep the first one that was done wrong. The chips are piled sky-high and loaded with fresh, delicious toppings. Even without adding any meat, the queso con carne on our nachos was incredible. Pizza Man Dan's is in my Top 3 Pizza places in Oxnard. This location is on Victoria Ave & 5th Street. Plenty of free parking available & is also shared with other restaurants & businesses. If you sign up with your email, you can accumulate some rewards. Also don't forget to check in by entering your phone number in-restaurant. I also get texts about some deals they have for the day. There's another (PMD) Pizza Man Dan's on Victoria but that one is in Ventura, the next city over. So be sure to select the right location when ordering online. Pizza is yummy, especially when it's fresh so you can get that cheese pull. We usually order a Large Pepperoni Pizza & a Veggie Pizza. I've also tried the PizzaMan Special Pizza which is pretty good too... They offer Gluten Free Pizza, but Gluten Free Pizza is only available in Individual Size & Small Size Only. I'm addicted to their Calzones. The Hawaiian Calzone & BBQ Chicken Calzone are some of my Faves... Recently had a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, & that 10" sub was a good sized sub! Worst service ever, not what I was expecting especially directly from the OWNER. Thinks he's funny, but he's not. He is arrogant and rude. I asked if they could replace the ranch at the salad bar because it was full of croutons and other things that shouldn't be inside the ranch container and he came over to my table demanding to see my salad bowl and asked me if I want a cup of ranch instead because he thinks I'm going to scam them for their ranch? Came here with my grandsons soccer team , award night , I ordered a sandwich ham and Swiss , my usual , I hardly come To side of town so let's see how this PMD DOES, First the sandwich was horrible , it's suppose to have ham in it , they put 2 pieces of ham very small , the size of a pepperoni, the sandwich tasted more like bread and tomatoe , we asked for grilled jalapeño on our pizza , they gave us pickled , the sandwich had a stale taste . Worst pizza I have ever had in my life last night! A simple Margarita pizza that had so much sauce on it, I couldn't eat it. Tiny piece of cheese on each slice and 2 slices with no cheese. The basil was plenty but all of it was burned. Definitely our last time going there. read more

But the chocolate cake I was sure to document before diving in, because I knew it'd be gone if I took one bite (spoiler alert: I've had it before). When I go out to eat pizza if they have a salad bar I ALWAYS get a salad with the pizza and everything else but they're salad bar was so.... (How do I say this without being mean?) It was sad. It looks old and I really couldn't even tell what some of it was. The corn was literally wrinkled. I don't know how to explain the corn it just looked wrinkled. And when I go out to eat I ALWAYS get a fountain soda (I can get a can of coke at home) and I LOVE fountain soda. For some reason it just tastes better than I can or a bottle of Coke. So when I took my first sip of my fountain soda at first I thought they needed to change the syrup because I tasted mostly carbonated water. So I asked where the employees if they could change it and they went to check it and they said it was fine so then my nephew also said his Dr pepper didn't taste right so I guess the owner Waters down his sodas which was a HUGE disappointment. Also when I called to ask some questions about their restaurant (because we wanted to dine in) I ended up talking to someone at some type of service he has. So instead of somebody at the restaurant answering the phone somebody somewhere else through some type of service answers the phone and they can't tell me anything about the restaurant. And when we got our wings it came with a little slice of celery. So here I am thinking you know if he got rid of the celery sticks with the wings and hired a part-time person to answer the phones during the busy time he would probably end up saving quite a bit of money and then he wouldn't have to water down his fountain drinks. Now let's get down to the pizza.... The crust is great and I like the sauce but the toppings once again the owner has decided to skimp. We got four toppings and it was mostly pineapple and jalapenos. I think I literally got one meatball per slice and I didn't even taste the mushrooms so I'm not even really sure how much of those were on it. I'm not really sure where the owner's head is at because he has the potential for a really good pizza place. It's definitely kid friendly so it's a perfect place to bring your kids but then there's also Chuck-E-Cheese so I don't know. I'm just really disappointed because it really would have been a good place to start to go and bring the kids because Chuck e cheese can be a little too much and Pizza Man Dans is kind of like how pizza places used to be with the video games and all that.​​​ I've noticed that he has a poor rating on here and it's too bad that he doesn't seem to care. They have a carryout special which has been continuously offered for quite a while. You get a large pizza for $9.99. I always call it in first and then it is ready for pick up in just about 15 minutes. The pizzas have always been quite tasty and piping hot when I pick them up. It's well worth the money. read more

DIS-GUS-TING!! Ordered a margherita pizza and a Hawaiian pizza! By far, the worst pizzas I've ever had. How can anyone mess up a pizza so bad to a point you'd rather throw it away than eat it!! I've had plenty of margherita pizzas in my life. None looked like that! There was no cheese on it! I called them and was told this is how an original margherita pizza looks in Italy! Not true! I'm from Europe. I've been to Italy. This is absolutely not how a margherita pizza is supposed to look. I couldn't eat it because it looked too disgusting. My son tried to eat his Hawaiian pizza. The dough was not cooked. It was very soggy. Way too much bbq sauce. He's not a picky eater at all, but he wasn't able to eat it. Will never go back!! Gross! YUK!! Doesn't even deserve one star! This review should be a 2 star but I'll give it to the runners who were handling the food drop off. Although their frustration and annoyance was visible they continued to handle business. To be fair the system is flawed and that's not their fault. Confusion is the name of the game at this Pizza man dans. You have a variety of ways to order, at each table with a mounted tablet or at the front counter. If ordering at the front counter you get a table mounted number which conflicts with the tablet table numbers and has the workers running all over to find the table to drop the food. In the madness our pizzas weren't out in 45 mins so we asked and were told they'd have to be remade. Another 15 mins we had pizza. 60 mins to wait for pizzas. We did get the salad and wings early on so that helped curb the hunger but having the combo of pizza wings and salad together makes the meal but it was spaced out in this instance. The food itself was pizza man dans consistent so that was good. Another part of the experience not to the fault of the restaurant were the other patrons who just allowed their kids from 2-5yrs old just run around going in and out of everywhere throwing bouncy balls through the establishment. Leaving kids unattended to do whatever they wanted while they drank, come on man! read more

The pizza was a little on the greasy side... not sure what that's about? Every pizza place is different and I know that the type/brand of cheese and pepperoni are what really "make it or break it"? I have never ordered from here in the past, and I never will again. Tonight I ordered delivery because I wanted both pizza and wings. I also got a salad. The pizza was cold and tasteless. The wings were dry and very scant, barely any shriveled up meat on the bones. The salad is basically iceberg lettuce with three tiny florettes of cauliflower and broccoli and three slices of cucumber and half of the lettuce was already brown. A cheese pizza EASY sauce... everytime it's extra sauce. Moved near the one on Fifth and Victoria and decided to try them again. The pizza is much better than I remember but my complaint is I ordered a large pizza and 12 wings and they won't give me any ranch or ranch cups. First they told me there was "A" ranch in the wing bag. Yes a single tiny cup. Then they said I had to pay for them. If I just paid $40 why do I have to pay for a few more ranch cups?
