I'm honestly confused about this place. They open from 4-8pm , so they are technically open for 3 hours during the week? We got there at 6:50 , sat down and they took our order at 7 then said last call as soon as we were done ordering. They made us feel rushed and it was just not the vibe. The servers seemed pissed off and were quick to get us out of there. This place honestly was an experience for sure. What I've learned is to never come back here again. This was terrible. Only thing I enjoyed was the Coke Zero. This place shouldn't even open if they give service for 3 hours then tell people they are done serving at 7pm when they close at 8pm. Getting two bags (no add ons) and a side hit the spot for me, a medium-sized female. I enjoyed ordering the garlic bread and dipping it into the leftover garlic butter sauce. My favorite order was the clams with the lemon pepper flavoring. My boyfriend ordered the gumbo, and that was some hearty goodness as well. This is an unfussy spot with good food and attentive service. There are also some pretty fun and unexpected food options available from the Asian owners, including a dragonfruit lemonade that quenches the thirst from the spicy sauces. The Ragin' special sauce is ranked at medium spicy level, however, I thought it was the perfect about of spicy if you like still being able to enjoy the flavor of the food with a kick to it. We ordered a crawfish boil, medium two sausages and three potatoes and they added an extra one that's good and it was only $64 plus the spaghetti, the garlic spaghetti the fried shrimp all of that combined was $64. I was staying in Camarillo and it was a bit out of my way but I was craving a seafood boil but it was worth the drive. The staff was very friendly and followed Covid Safety protocols. I went on a Monday and traffic in the restaurant was light but active, which I enjoyed. I got seated immediately, the waitress was very resourceful and knowledgeable, she asked me what I was in the mood for and made proper recommendations. Went here on a Saturday night and we had a long wait even though there wasn't too many people there yet. It would seem they were having a rather large amount of online orders and they were seemingly understaffed to handle that. I could tell the workers were working hard to keep up so I didn't complain. I don't eat seafood, but my fiance tells me it was pretty good. She got the 1lb of shrimp and if you like spicy I'd get hot or raging, otherwise you will be disappointed. We shared some garlic noodles which were okay, and I had the chicken tenders and Cajun fries. Tenders were whatever as usual, but the fries were tasty. Highly recommend, super yummy! We ordered (1) blue dungeon crab bag with one potato and one corn on the cob, (1) garlic bread and (1) garlic noodles for two people. Server was super nice, and helped pick our sauce when we were worried about it being too spicy for us. They still accommodated us even though it was close to closing and even held last call to make sure we had enough food. The bags weren't huge, but it was plenty of food for us. Ragin crawfish is bagged seafood in a delicious sauce of your choice. You have to get your hands a little dirty (no worry there are gloves for people like me who don't want to mess up their nails). You get a pound or more of seafood with amazing flavor for a really good price. I'm a wimp so I usually go with mild or medium heat, my man can handle hot but let me warn you he's sweating while eating!!! I also do the sauce with a little bit of everything in it, heat, garlic, butter, the works! I would highly recommend. I'm a fan of the already pealed shrimp. Super filling and easy to eat. My number one favorite is the clams though, less filling but just really tasty. I throw in some potatoes and it's a win for me! Service here is also stellar. Very friendly people and the food comes out quick. This place is such a hidden gem, I feel selfish keeping this place to myself as it's so good and underrated in the area. I always crave it. Price again is really fair for a pound + of seafood. A lunch/dinner for two with drinks, seafood, and a side is about $50 after tip. Really fair if you ask me. Ps- the Thai tea here is to die for! I liked this place a lot but I'm thinking CoVID has made things harder for them. The shrimp was dry with no sauce in the bag. Guess what .. they charge $5 for more sauce. It needed salt /pepper because there was no sauce in the bag and they now charge 50 cents per container. It's annoying that they charge 50 cents for salt and pepper when the shrimp is left flavorless. I was excited to come back and support but these changes have definitely made me not want to return. I understand them trying to get back on their feet and this is why I came to support them but not by nickel and dime-ing. This is my first crawfish place I've tried in California and it really was a 50/50 experience. The raging seasoning/hot tasted great. It really was amazing flavors and spices, however the food itself was just meh. We ordered the crawfish, frog legs, and crab and had to order corn and potatoes separate for $1 each. The Total came out a little over $75. The crawfish are frozen (and they tell you that) but tasted okay and got a decent amount, the frog legs were nice and crispy and gave you a good amount, but the crab... The crab was just not good at all. Very stringy and was most definitely frozen. The menu doesn't state if the crab is frozen or not so I assumed it was fresh but there's no way it wasn't frozen. Either that or it was just a really bad crab. I mean if you're going to charge so much for crab ($48) should at least be fresh. Oxnard is right next to the ocean. Most crawbroil places automatically come with potatoes and corn so I kind of taken aback paying $1 for a quarter piece of corn and $1 for a potato that wasn't cut up. So a star for the seasoning and a star for the frog legs. read more
