This location is horrible! The food is made without any type of care for the consumer. I ordered a chipotle calzone and when I got it, I was not able to eat it because it was so flimsy and wet. I wasn't able to pick it up and take a bite when I picked it up. I noticed the ingredients falling out and I noticed big heavy chunks of garlic and the smell was unpleasant.! I went inside to show the staff what they served me and they got defensive and did not care for my feelings or situation at all Clarissa claimed to be in charge had this thuggish behavior she let her emotions get the best of her, and the customer service was not professional at all. I was hyped up for the wings, I've tried the location in ox and it was super good but the wings from here were kinda plain. When I received my poppers it was missing one jalapeño and instead of having them remaking like they said they just added one. I wasn't too upset about that but at the end when I finished my beer It looked as tho the glass wasn't cleaned properly. There was crumbs inside the glass which is gross. But now? I wouldn't feed this to my enemies, let alone my dogs--who, by the way, didn't even come near the table. That's right. The dogs. Didn't. Beg. Let me walk you through our culinary trauma: * Chicken wings: Their website boasts "bodacious" and "crispy." Lies. These arrived as flaccid, steamed pouches of despair. More middle school cafeteria mystery meat than anything remotely bodacious. The skin was slack. The fat was soggy. Each bite was like gnawing on a microwaved regret. * The pizza: I can't legally call it pizza. Raw dough. Undercooked sauce. Cheese that looked like it had a fear of commitment. We threw it away. We were looking for something quick to eat and the kids were craving pizza. We were headed to the brewery across the street when we saw a big sign for Pizza Man Dan's that read $9.99 take out special! Sold! It was like it was meant to be. We walked in and ordered the take out special, which is a large cheese pizza to go. For $2.50 more we were able to add pepperoni to our pizza. You can choose thin crust or pan, we chose pan. 15 minutes later it was hot and ready! We took our pizza across the street and enjoyed a beer from the brewery with our dinner. This pizza easily fed our family of 5 and it was delicious! You can also choose to eat there. They have a large dining room with lots of seating, some arcade games and a salad bar. The wings are so crispy. They're not soggy just the right amount of sauce, and they deliver without a hassle when you get the food it's always pipe and hot. One of my favorites pizza joints. Every time I order a pizza from PMD, it's always fresh and delicious. I usually opt for pick up considering I generally eat it for lunch while at work. My coworkers and I love splitting a large pizza. We usually get a side of mango habanero to dip it in. If you like spice, I highly recommend. The salad bar is a must try. My parents are obsessed with their wings. The sandwiches are always delicious. I honestly have nothing bad to say. The inside of this location is very old school pizza parlor which I love. Typically, a good mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and possibly mushrooms. I know in LA most people like to have either a salad or a fruit bowl on their pie so It's not what most in LA would enjoy. I think they change ownership a couple years back and with that the sauce changed and not for the better. I will continue getting their pizza. We've also tried several of their other dishes. I live in the San Fernando Valley, and every time I take a road trip to Carpinteria. (Which was weekly last summer), I ALWAYS stopped here, mainly for the carry-out deals, but now I absolutely LUV their pizza!!! GREAT PIES, And a very FRIENDLY staff at BOTH locations I've been to! Cops escorted a guy out for stealing drinks. Ok, hey it happens, cops were nice and the guy left peacefully. Unfortunately, later on, we witnessed an individual watching inappropriate videos on their laptop while sitting in the dining area, around children. While this behavior made me and others around me feel uncomfortable, the staff at the establishment did not seem to be aware of the situation until we spoke up. To my knowledge, the cops were not called on this individual. I recommend that the management team take steps to ensure that all customers feel safe and comfortable in the restaurant.
