We've been to other Ameci Pizza places but we cannot recommend this one. The pizza wasn't bad but the toppings were so sparse! Also, the meatless lasagna I ordered was loaded with meat and was barely warm. The worst was the eggplant parm. I could say a lot but I don't want to be cruel. The folks there work hard, but if you don't know how to cook a certain dish PLEASE don't serve it. We were not offered a refund. So I frequent this place since my kids like it. The food is tasty, well priced, but the customer service really bites. The lil dude that always takes our order is always rude to us. I've seen him be nice to other patrons so I know he's capable of it but with me, he practically rolls his eyes while speeding me through my order as if I'm wasting his precious time. As soon as he takes my order, he gets right back to burying his face in his phone. If I ask him for ranch or a box to go, he literally sighs as if he doesn't want to get it for me. Earlier today we came by this place to get a chicken parmigiana, mozzarella marinara, and two slices of pepperoni. When I was ordering the chicken parmigiana and mozzarella marinara for my girlfriend I'm assuming they misheard the order and punched the order for chicken parmigiana twice and the cashier that helped us didn't confirm the order when we were done paying. Though when we got the order, we were given two parmigianas instead of one. So when we went back up to ask for a refund, they gave us an attitude and didn't appreciate the fact that there was a miscommunication on mostly their end since they didn't confirm the order for us to correct what their mistake was before we paid. And tried to push the blame onto us when it was a mistake on their end for not confirming our order. It doesn't help when their receipt paper doesn't really show what we ordered either. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Normally the owner answers the phone, a very polite Italian gentleman. But this time it wasn't the owner. It was a rude, low-energy driver with no customer service skills whatsoever and it turned out to be the worst experience we've had. We tried calling to order 5 Pizzas and the guy says "Ameci's, Hold" like a caveman... and then hangs up on us. We try again, it happens again. Then we wait and call back. It goes back to voice-mail 3 different times. Finally, I wait, and try again, and the same guy answers with the rudest unintelligibly low, "Ameci's"... then complete silence. Appalled for everyone else experiencing this, I had to ask if this was Ameci's because it was the equivalent of someone saying "hello", but not even like asking "Hello?", just saying it. I was willing to let it go when I said I need to place a delivery order. Then he must have held some grudge for us having the gall to give them our business, and he puts us on hold for 15 minutes. Now we're wondering why we order from this place at all when the staff treat their customers like complete trash. Eventually another younger, peppier guy with social skills picks up. I let him know what happened. No apology. Then he says it was a driver who answered before and said "Do you want to order anything?". I had to hang up out of conscience. If my continued business keeps rude people like them employed, I will gladly buy pizza somewhere else. Rule #1, if your drivers aren't competent enough to hold a basic conversation, and they have ZERO customer service skills, fire them immediately, because if they're treating customers like this over the phone, just imagine how poorly they're treating customers when they deliver the Pizza face to face. I ordered from this location thinking it was like the Ameci in Camarillo, which I love. Although I ordered the same pizza I would order at the other location, it looked very different. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't delicious either. The lasagna was floating in a pool of oily tomato sauce. The cheesecake although a bit frozen was delicious though. The food is great, whether you are buying a slice, jumbo pie, or a meal deal. The pizza reminds me of back home, always hor and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful if you have questions. Hands down the best pizza around Oxnard area. It beats all the chains like dominos and even toppers in my pizza opinion. We find ourselves wanting to order out here whenever it's pizza night and you honestly can't beat the prices for the sizes they offer! The employees are always great when we come in, and I believe they deliver also (they don't deliver onto the military base as far as I know- but that doesn't stop us). I personally didn't like their thick crust it was too dry for me- probably the only con I have. The original crust is perfect though. They also carry gluten free which isn't too shabby either. I love Ameci's Pizza Oxnard North on Rose Avenue. I am a regular customer, and have been for years. Their menu has a wide variety, great for parties and catered events. Their food is consistently well prepared and delicious. You definitely get your money's worth in their portions, no skimping done here. And they always get my order right. How many take out restaurants can you say that always happens? I also like the way they package their food. You can also custom order your salads and entrees. Don't like pickles in your salad? I traded for black olives. They also gave me dressing on the side. Easy or heavy on the sauce? No problem. They are very helpful to seniors and persons with disabilities.
